oh wow! it's really rare to see clips of teddy diaz around these days. how i wish there are more of these, especially interview clips. he was bada** and mystifying at the same time!!! one could only imagine how more iconic the dawn would have been had he still been around. he brought an edge, depth and darkness to the band. he's so much missed!!!

Accourding to accounts,Teddy proceeded to his girlfriend's house in Tatalon Quezon City, after the gig on Chanel 2. He was walking towards the gate when he has accosted by two drunks,one of them armed with a knife.Teddy offered his wallet,containing P200,his share of the fee from the band's earlier performance,but after snatching the wallet, the knifewielder went on to stab him,even as his companion refortedly tried to pacify him.

Drummer J.B. Leonor recalls sketchy police reports that assailant had killed an aunt that same afternoon and was in the area to hide from the authorities. He engaged the local toughies in a friendly drinking bout,and when the alcohol ran out,he sought out a partner to help him rob the first person they encountered that early morning.

Leonor rues,"With his long hair,Teddy might have been mistaken for a woman,an easy prey.

Teddy might have resisted at some point,and that's why they stabbed him.He was really a victim of circumstance.He just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time,".....

when i first heard this song, i thought these guys are foreign,lalo na yung guitar solo, from then on i started to follow this guys on their gigs until ted was killed...nagbago ang line-up, nawala, nagreunion concert, nawala ulit, buti na lang bumalik ulit!!! good to see this guys playing again...

Thanx mes. This video really brings back memories. I had a first taste of The Dawn at 13 when my brother gave me their "I stand with you" album for my elem. graduation on cassette tape format. Teddy D. was an exceptional guitarist and a pioneer on the guitar. RIP Teddy!!
