  • When simple is best.

  • Steve "the space cowboy" Miller, no one will ever do/sing this song better :)

  • Comment removed

  • why is he playing this on a radio that specializes in rock of the 80's?

  • Comment removed

  • @bkiknorite Time waits for no one, Junior. If your fortunate, it will catch up to you too.

  • ooo wee baby !!!!

  • Many classic rock singers get sloppy, lazy, careless, or off-key when singing their old stuff. Steve, however, stays true to his music and sounds as fresh as he ever has.

  • Me <3 Steve Miller....

  • Old soldiers never die......... I am so glad to see him still alive and kicking, just great.

  • Four people don't get there Love

Then the guy next to us threw upon mommas foot.. Classic memories !!!!!!!

  • wow, that was absolutely amazing. perfect!

    im bowing before his talent!

  • Thanks for this video.

I love it, it brings back allot of great memories.

  • what i love about steve miller is how he looks, at his current age, like he's a high school geography teacher. give that guy a guitar and mic though, and he will show you how it's done.

  • I wanna learn that intro little blues thing. Does it have a name? or was that just steve playing?

  • I can't believe how tuned his voice is. It is so 'spot-on' that it looks like he has an autotune, but no! He's just great! And his guitar playing in this performance looks simple but is actually kindda hard. Very effective picking.

  • This song is just one of the best, if not the best of the 70´s

  • He is the only "Joker" in music.

  • he nailed it

  • @GlennsMisfits you got it

  • YEAH LIKE IT

    musicalstorehouse dot com

have some material george that you will enjoy just put the site information together

  • wow! I still have to see him live - and now I know, he won't disapoint me. Still well on voice and guitar. Hats off!

  • Steve Miller Rulez!!!!!

  • So many people have tried to sing that song; but there is only one Steve Miller.

  • EPIC!

  • most of his songs are cool with just acoustic guitar and voice.

  • best, most layed back song everrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • This band is simply the best, if not one of the best, to listen to. Just look at the melodies that they were coming up with back then, most of them are like blueprints for alot of the bands after them. The cd greatest hits 74-78 is timeless, you could listen to that 100 years from now and it would still be considered great music. I think only paul mcartney is comparible to them in writing great melodies and that is good company to be with. Steve miller band rocks!!

  • Some people call me "Maurice"

  • One of our generation's (classic rock) greatest entertainers! This song (along with many others in his catalog) is timeless!

Thanks for sharing this great performance!

  • i´m a joker and a smoker

    yay

steve, do concerts but only do acoustic versions that is the best for me.

  • he has one of the best voices i've ever heard

so smooth, i can't think of anyone else like it

  • That was so awesome!! He is the best!!

  • This just made my day. I think I'm going to watch it again!

  • Oh my god he's still awesome. He's one of the few older original rock singers that still sounds great.

  • He's in his 60's and he still sounds great.

  • whoever says anything bad bout this obviously doesnt know music cuz this is amazing especially at his age. its just plain amazing

  • He actually sounds just as good now, if not better, than when he did in the '70s.

  • he has go a great sounding voice and acoustic guitar XD i payed 300 for an acoustic that doesnt even sound as good as that!

  • 300 is that much though...

  • EXCELLENT!!! Still sounding great as ever! Best things in life comes with aging. Congrats Mr Miller and thanks for all the beautiful music you have provided us over the past decades.

  • I LOVE HIM!

  • Steve Miller friggin rocks! Love this song. Total classic :)

  • awesome! steve rocks!!!

  • This song is one of the best songs ever cant top this song

  • Steve Millers Nephew Chad miller used to work as a flight instructor at boeing field, a place that no longer exists calle d Flight tech. Chad is now living in Dallas, ft worth area where steve is also from. I also went to high school with downtown joe, who is one of bob rivers sidekicks on his morning shoe, Bob Spike and Joe. So its intersting you saw Steve Near boeing field.

  • What a voice and what alternate melodies and trails he paints with his voice. A master.

  • such a good song

  • I filled Steve's car with gas while working at an Exxon service station near Boeing Field back in the early 80's. I didn't know who he was, even though he got out of the car, stood right next to me and paid with a credit card. I though, "Hey, he has the same name as Steve Miller." I went home and looked at my Steve Miller album and realized who he was. I still kick myself thinking about the missed opportunity. Oh well.... Knock'um dead Steve!!

  • What a funny story...

  • It good to hear this song. It's even better that he mic'd the guitar instead of plugging it like most people do with acoustic now days. I think plug in acoustics sound like shit, but that a personally opinion. I have a similar Martin and would never get pickups for that thing. 70s music rocks. It's fun music and they wrote stuff to have fun to. Not at all like music today.

  • yeah man I know exactly what you mean. I see too many people with their acoustics are plugged in around my town... it's kinda annoying I don't know why though. Or they have pickups, it doesn't work well.. I'll just mic, this is a great song.

  • A lot of people use those plug in acoustics now days, but I just don't think they sound like a real acoustic. It was Roger Mcguinn of The Byrds (who I saw play in Colorado a mainly acoustic show except for a couple of song on his 12 string Rickenbacker) that said those pcikup sound like a guitar recorded on a low sampling rate. I just don't an acoustic should be plugged in. That's like plugging in flute or violin at the orchestra.

  • hahaha that's a very good way to put it.. but.. I Have seen a violin plugged in.. some dude even hooked it up with a delay pedal and wah it sounded cool but it would get tired fast, I enjoy it without it any way. and yeah plugin in kinda puts away that genuine acoustic sound.

  • I've seen those plug in violins. I still think that acoustic music should be acoustic. You still can put effects on the mic. I do it all the time. Just an opinion though. I think that people don't want to deal with feedback. I use to have an plug in guitar, but never like the sound and got rid on it. It was easier to just plug in and play. But, I went back to using mics again.

  • its miller time!!

  • Steve Miller, I LOVE YOU... will you marry me?

  • that was very cool > always a great song,,nice to see unplugged version.

  • good song

  • Thanks for the quick ticket to the 70"s. Still great.

  • can some one upload the song Who Put The Stump (bob rivers) plz
