  • do the full size grippys have 2 omega springs?

  • @FatGuyWithAKatana

Yes indeed my brother... as far as I know all Axis locks include 2 omega springs... that is to say, I've never seen one with only one spring.

  • @X4CTO ah, i remember seeing your take down vid and i thought maybe there was only one, which meant my new FREE mini grip had an advantage over the full size ones.

  • @FatGuyWithAKatana

HAHA! Well as far as I know they're all that way. I've not taken apart a lot of the different style of BM Axis locking knives... but I assume that's going to be standard so that both sides of the Axis bar remain with forward tension.

Enjoy your new FREE mini Grip my brother... can beat FREE! HAHA!

The Griptilians are good knives... just gotta be careful with those omega springs. You can always send it in to Benchmade anyway... so just use it and enjoy it.

  • damn i love your handwriting, its comicy

  • @ApocalypticRedIX

    Thank you, I appreciate that!

That's probably because I've done some comic work in the past, haha!

You can search "X4CTO Artwork" and see some of my girls on here too! =)

  • HA HA HA! "Big ole FAT pair of titties!"

  • LMAO! Gotta love that! =)

    (.)(.)

  • @X4CTO LOVE ME A GOOD PAIR OF TITTIES

  • @shawn4201111

    HAHA! Yes indeed! =)

  • @shawn4201111 i played with the axis and put it through some shit the lockback was the control test and the axis did not fail and the lockback did the lock back was not a cheap 1 either it was a buck 110 the only reason i used a 110 was because i have one from the first run and a new one as you might have guessed it was the new one

  • @shawn4201111

Well the Buck 110 is a very nice classic blade, but I think the Endura's lock is much stronger with it's mid back lock... gives increased locking strength, it's all physics.

I've had just the opposite results in my use... since this video I've experienced two omega spring failures and never any failures on my Enduras... I tested them all after watching a video on something here about 2 months ago... all 15 Enduras excelled perfectly.

  • @X4CTO iv'e been through 3 endura 4s but the work i do is extremely heavy. im always cutting through some really thick zip ties and allot of synthetics that are extremely harsh on a blades locking mechanism.

  • @shawn4201111

Well if you're going through Enduras then might I suggest a Cold Steel with the TriAd lock? That's one of the strongest lock mechanisms you can ask for right there... I love it. I've heard others mentioning the play in an Endura's lock bar, but I don't have that problem in mine to be honest... granted I don't use a folder to do extremely hard use tasks though. I have my fixed blades for that.

  • @X4CTO ive been thinking about getting an ESEE izula for my fixed blade what do you think?

  • @shawn4201111

The Izula is a great one for sure... and Blade HQ has them in green and red coating as well... pretty damn sweet. I like the knife quite a bit... I don't have one personally, but a friend of mine that I practice Kali with has one and she carries it as her SD fixed blade... she's pretty wicked fast with it too. =)

  • @X4CTO i forgot i just ordered a couple kabars so im set for a while

  • @shawn4201111

Well there you go... enjoy your new KaBars then!

  • The axis lock is built more rugged than the lockback to me

  • I don't have a problem with the Axis lock's strength when engaged, the only problem I have is that the only thing keeping it engaged is the thin little omega springs... if those fail then you have a problem. That being said, I do like the smoother blade action due to the Axis style locks, but then again they sometimes are easier to open accidentally than a lockback, frame lock, or liner lock. Any lock can fail under the right circumstances I guess, but I just like the lockbacks best personally.

  • @X4CTO It is a tried and true lock the lockback is, that's for sure

  • Absolutely! I agree.

  • These videos kill me a little bit inside lol here in europe you pay like 120 dollars for the Benchmade and 100 dollars for the Endura, they are really expensive.. Oh, how I wish I was born in USA xD

    Nice video

  • LOL... I know what you mean, I see some of the blades people on here have and just fill up with envy, haha!

Thank you, I appreciate you watching!

  • I'm looking for ambidextrous edc knife. Which one is better at keeping the blade folded (self-opened proof) ?

I have seen 'tenacious cut' video. Self-opened knife is nasty and it's a deal breaker for me. Tnx.

  • I have never had an Endura open on me accidentally. I talked about it during the "Blade Retention" category in this comparison and discussed the differences. Endura has a better blade retention.

  • just got my endura 4 ffg in the mail today. i can see why its one of your favorite knives. well balanced and sharp. looks good too. nice vid bro

  • Congrats bro! Love those FFG blades Spyderco does! Glad you got yourself one, hope you enjoy it. Thank you!

  • Lovin the Enduras...

  • Yes they are great blades =)

  • LMAO, I wonder which one's gonna win! But yeah, those look like good knives. I must say I prefer the looks of the Griptilian better, but the rest of the stuff you talked about makes sense.

  • Haha, you know it!

Yeah the Griptilian is a good looking one as well, and I COULD be a little biased... but I really like them both a lot.

  • Yeah I just prefer a tighter pivot most of the time. I might actually mess around with it and see if I can find a sweet spot too, but I just haven't carried the Griptilian that much yet to be honest.

  • I own both and the Endura is better hands down

  • I agree =)

  • big old fat pair of tities lol

  • @Spydermade64 no what

  • Good editing, love the intro

  • Thank you, I appreciate that.

  • i like the intro haha, good fight!

  • Thank you... kind of a brutal fight, lol.

  • Love the comparison but I hate it that everyone seems to be taking advantage of this new 15 minute video length. Long vids bore me (with exception of this guy, being the redneck gangsta that he is).

  • Thank you. Haha.

Yeah I usually like to keep it as short as I can too... but sometimes I try to cover as much as I can. Just depends on the subject I guess.

  • Love The Titties!

  • Haha... me too!

  • @X4CTO lol

  • Part 2?! I've been yelling at the screen. Stop the fight! Stop the fight!! LOL

  • LOL! Yeah there might have been a few hits below the belt too.

  • Great comparison review man. Sad to say I haven't added the Endura to my collection yet (I know I'm a slacker). I do have the MiniGrip (556 modified drop point) and the Delica (4 FFG). Thanks to your review I will have to pick up a Endura 4).

  • Thank you bro.

Go ahead a grab an Endura and it won't let you down.

You're welcome, and thank you for watching it.

  • Both awesome knives

  • I agree.

  • great vid dude

  • Thank you.

  • good vid bro. I love the beginning. lol, well done.

  • Thank you!
