@MrOutOfMana where are these dumb comments coming from, with any game set on low settings, ofcourse any video card would dominate it. Hey guess what, if i play crysis 2 on low settings instead of ultra, my gtx 580 dominates it!!!!! ZOMG!
Buy a computer use it for 2-3 years buy a new one and give the old one away.
Seriously... I've been building computers since the early 90's and the benefits of an upgrade to get performance are very minimal.
If your youtube videos start to stutter you think, Oh I need a better video card, so you upgrade the video card and you find it still stutters and you endup upgrading your Processor,, than you realize the new video card and processor need a better PowerSupply unit and so on.
I'm surprised he recommended such high priced graphics cards. They offer very poor value per dollar. The sweet spot is $200-250: GTX 560 Ti and HD 6950.
i have intel i3 2100,amd 6770,and it is still a good enough gaming system for my 17inch monitor. and still got 1,5 years that it will become obsolete, then after that i will upgrade.
i've been keeping a four year old HP G70 laptop alive, i'm pretty sure i'll be converting to Apple when they release the new Macbook Pro designs sometime between April & May and will look to get a used 2011 Alienware PC to use as a server, that way i can get best of both but mainly using the Macbook and the Alienware for any long gaming sessions, for large data storage and as a media hub.
Would really like to watch a video by you guys about what you expect from the 2012 Macbook pro redesign
@FandomRuck There is a video of my rig on my profile. It's a tad out dated with a few more mods added and OC's pushed a bit farther. But it's faster enough to crush many computers out there. My highest 3DM 11 score is p12731 and Vantage is p41746. I can PM links if you like to the score breakdowns at the 3Dmark site.
@FandomRuck Wrong. Toss FXAA x8 on it together with 2560x1600 and you would bring that card to it's knees. that goes for both 6970 and 580. the game barely scales in multi-gpu right now.
@XEDarkRunner I know. I was referring to the resolutions the average user plays at, 1920x1080 or 1920x1200, which I have no problem maxing everything including anti-aliasing.
I wouldn't want to run it in Eyefinity on a 6970 either.
i fall insleep 2 times... BOOOOOORING WRONG PART OF YOUTUBE! AGAAAAAIN
