Try my windows 7 ultimate USB installer

it is already programmed, no software needed like WinToFlash or something

all you need to do is download the file

and paste it into your 4gb clean USB.

then you can use it on upgrading or

installing windows 7 ultimate on your PC or laptop.

MAKE SURE TO 1ST BOOT USB...

Salam Tru3m0sl3m, my question is couldn't you use gparted to format the drive and then use your gnome-terminal to make your windows 7 flash drive? Sudo cp -r (cd location) (flash drive location) ...or better yet open 2 sudo nautilus windows and copy and paste the contents of the cd into the formated usb flash drive? I'd try this but my computer was made when there were dinosaurs so I can't boot into usb :(

since you marked the partition active couldn't you just boot off the usb and it would see it as a active partition and try to boot from it?

I think bootloader needs to ne installed which the ntfs structure would be looking for even if the drive is actice

Try it, make after the active step exit and boot from usb via mobo :)

Hello there... The way I install win 7 using a pen-drive is is a little simpler and I don't have to erase any files on the pen-drive.

I just Drag all the installation files from windows 7 dvd installation to the pen drive and bum. Reboot from USB drive and install in 12 minutes.

I don't ever bother with the cmd or command prompt thing. There is no need for that at all. Just make sure you drag all the files. Simple!

Even if you don't have a DVD drive. You can use an ISO reader and do the dame. Open the virtual windows 7 installation, drag and drop the files to the pen-drive. That's all.
