  • lol thats really old school haha

  • last[dot]fm/music/D-jooz nice speccy music (mp3)

  • I almost forgot about colored border. Good times. At the beggining I did not have a tape recorder. So everytime I had to type basic codes from the book If I wanted have some fun. I learned a lot using that lillte box.

  • Why is a potentially horrible screeching sound so soothing to my ears?! especially at the end when it's loaded.

It used to disappoint me a little that the C64 didn't do it lol

  • The sound is typical for Spectrum computers. The first red-blue stripes indicate a leader with header containing information about loading of the next block. Yellow-blue stripes indicate loading in progress. As you can see, loading of the picture is visible. The picture is being loaded directly to Spectrum's video RAM area. You can see that its addressing is chaotic. Sounds are typical for all Spectrum software. One can recognize a picture loading by ear.

  • How did you do that? was it an actual image just read by the spectrum or did you drae it and save it.

  • It is hand drawn in OCP Art Studio. Working stages are here: factor6(dot)ic(dot)cz(slash)924zx(dot)html.

  • @factor6 get the iphone app called zx cam

it makes any picture readable by the spectrum and it even makes the tape sounds for it so you can put the iphone right into the spectrum

  • @thedarkdragon735 thanks, I have the app. but this picture is drawn by hand using a graphic program called Art Studio :)

  • Esos colores me van a dar combulsiones :S

  • remember sitting there waiting for games to load for like 15 mins only for it to crash at the end.

  • @agentolshki Oh yes!! I couldn't agree more with you there. The faster loaders used to crash more than the normal loaders!! Pffft!! xD

  • @agentolshki You must have used an Atari XL ;-b Spetrum took 5mins max and seldomly crashed.

  • @agentolshki

Or the game was shit then you load up a new one and wait again.

  • @agentolshki Should have bought the ZXmicrodrive, games loaded in a few seconds, but didn't last very long :)
