I'm sorry, this is old and whatnot, but at the start when he slaps the strings, he's actually meant to be slapping the harmonics on the first 3 strings, on the 12th fret. :S

@guitarace12 frist tap 11 on E string, then 11 on D.

then you got to tap 11 on D string and slide it to 12. Then with your middle finger tap 11 on G string and slide it to 9.

after that pluck last two strings. first e then B.

then strum the chord !

One thing he isn't talking about here, you have to tune your guitar in another way than you have to do normally. Tune the 6th String 2 Tabs higher so that the 7th thread aon the 6th string sounds like the 5th string on the 5th string. And then go further with normally tuning and on the second string you tune two threads lower, so that the 2nd Thread on the second string sounds like the 1st one, and then go ahead normally 5th on second string has to sound like the 1st one.

For the slap harmonics, Andy hits on 12th fret and 7th fret (only uses 7th fret at the end of the phrase the second time through before he starts the verse again). Also in the verse, you need to incorporate the double then single tap with the right hand.

i can play this song now, and this video was instrumental in clearing some obstacles I had. thanks! Andy also adds double hand slaps at 0:20 and 0:28. Those were even tougher to incorporate than the one you do. But it makes it all sound much better. Cheerio!

It's not drop D, it's DADGAD tuning. Double drop D, and drop your B string down as well.
