That's not a hotel room, that's the trailer that was used by Evanescence during the show. Jon decided it would be less crowded in there than in his tour bus.
As for talking about Guitar Hero, that's why he agreed to the interview in the first place. No one bothers to talk to artists about that sort of thing. Everyone just wants to ask the same questions about their musical career that have been asked time and again.

However, he agreed to do one with me about Guitar Hero, so that told me he really didn't want to talk about the same old stuff everyone asks, he just wanted to talk about GH. Besides, it gives you a glimpse at Jonathan Davis the gamer, rather than Jonathan Davis the rocker.
But dude you gotta be more out there and shit man. When you interview someone like jonathan davis... you gotta drop the guitar hero bit and shit, i mean its cool to know... but i mean im sure 100 percent that he would rather be asked, about touring, how hes doing off alcohol and drugs... how his kids are doing and shit like that.
but like i said no offence people are different people wanna know different things. but i am jealous that you talked to jonathan.
no not necesarily because interviewwers ask the same intruding shit evvvery time. so like sure its nice to be recognized but for the same thing like every fcking minute, bands/actors must want to have a regular human or common-interest conversation once in a while !
Heh, a lot of phone calls to important people. Also I think part part of it had to do with the fact that no one had really thought to interview him about gaming, so he agreed to it.
It was awesome, he was really laid back and fun to talk to. He was a little preoccupied after the show due to a nasty looking bite he had on his arm. He shows it briefly during the video, but it was a lot worse in person.
