Thx truhart, Its one of the few songs that I knew well enough to just feel the music and not focus on playing mistake-free. I appreciate your appreciation of that!!
Mahalo, I love this song. Your vocals and playing are excellent. True Beauty is seldom discovered. You found the beauty in your soul, and thank you for sharing it with us.
Thx Adellethegreatone, will do, will do. I'm going to do a retrospective of all the songs I learned when I first started to teach myself how to play. Should be interesting playing songs from the 20's and 30's.
Do it! Now that I got the picking down I can't stop playing it all the time. It gets me in trouble with my wife, "too much other things to do, damn it". The hardest part was the timing of the chord changes, all I can suggest is to watch seeso's version and pay close attention, thats what I did and then it all fell into place. I look forward to your vid!!
A bit too much reverb. At times it sounds like you were singing from the bottom of a well. I really can't complain! My own videos are distorted messes compared to this. You play, sing and record so much better than I do. (I guess we are all points on the learning curve.) But next time, turn the reverb down just a couple of notches.
I've read that the best way to get sound for a video is to set up a separate digital audio recorder and sync the audio and video later!
I got that hint from "YouTube: An Insider's Guide to Climbing the Charts" by Alan Lastufka and Michael W. Dean. It's a good book with some solid advice on making videos and participating in the community.
Yea, this was suggested to me by RussBuss, I haven't the funds to go this route just yet. Plus I'm abit intimidated by the whole synching idea, but thanks so much for the info. I will look into that book for sure.
truly beautiful bradda truly truly beautiful. i strive to play at this level of passion and tranquility!
