Wow - someone else thinks exactly like me. I feel like the current democratic race is popularity based, as Clinton, Obama, and Edwards are big names. I feel that if you listen to Biden and Dodd, they are strongest on the issues - the most specific, pragmatic, and aggresive.

what's so terrible about family farms going out of business because they cant compete with larger agriculture businesses? Are the foods grown on a family farm somehow superior?

If they cannot compete without govt subsidies, they should probably find another business. or maybe im missing something...

When you have family farms vs. corporate farms, it boils down to intentions. Typically family farms will sell what they grow as it is, and corporate farms are more likely to put harmful ingredients into their food solely in the name of profit. I agree, we need to cut back on subsidies for both family and corporate farms, but the majority of the subsidies are being taken by figures who aren't even farmers, such as David Letterman.

Im sure family farms still use pesticides to protect their crops. Family farm certainly doesnt equal organically grown.

There was an article about all this in Time magazine, where famous figures were being listed as farmers and getting farm subsidies. It's shocking, I know. So I was wrong about family farms, but the farms that we should eliminate subsidies to are farms that are going to put all this harmful stuff into our foods. That way you use the tax code instead of the law to encourage the right behavior.

Both Paul and Kucinich represent the people. The reason why Paul got a lot more recignition was his attack of the Federal Reserve. he stood out way further than Kucinich. All the other Rep. candidates are bigger warhawks, while the Democrats are weak and flip flop all the time.

Universal Pre-K??? What is Edwards talking about!!! The last thing we need is to have kids out of the house sooner. Why not push for better families and for more moms or dads to stay at home?
