Hey Foul....did you have amenisa over the last decade under....2 funded wars which depleted our surpluses, making torture allowable and who can forget Bush's response to Katrina..."Doin a heckuva job Brownie!". Foul, your a moron.
This song, the words are from a letter written to Lennon from filmmaker Duff Hendrickson when he left Hollywood and was living in Reno Nevada, watching the roulette wheels in the casino where he worked. Almost all the letter became this song.
Nearly ten years earlier Lennon wrote another song from one of Duff's letters when he lived on island of Maui ( "Over the Ocean")
I love Lennon. If i knew better, he has written this tune for me. When I heard it when I was 15 it was all about me. Today? Ah, it's still the same. No doubt, he hits my heart. This tune always makes me feel like he is next to me saying "this is about you brother. Listen and let go." No B.S. That's how I feel. Each word is about me. thanks for the post. Peace!!!!!
How this man lost his last chance with God.......what a pitty! We cannot say respect him same than we say respect anyone else: "He passed to a better life".
this song is about doing what you feel like doing , this world is not about freedom anymore this song is like fuck what everybody else thinks do what you think is right and be happy dont let anyone tell you what to do
Yeah, this song is about Lennon's abrupt leave from the Beatles. He stopped the crazy band life to spend time at home with Yoko. People criticized him (and Yoko, especially) for this, but as he explains in this song, he's happy doing what he's doing.
Yea great song. Not to be mean ,but can't you tell by the song....John was done! He was still gonna do music but just for himself he didn't like the fast life with the beatles. This is what the songs about....jumping off the beatles wagon (the merry go round)
@foulmouthfromsouth So you're blaming Obama? "October 26, 2001 was when the USA Patriot Act was signed into law by GW Bush. Obama seems to be guilty of Not born in the USA which excludes him from being elected (That's still being debated). Supporting ACORN with donations while ACORN was caught hiring mostly African Americans to use false names to register votes, Telling under cover reporters how to cheat the system (2 seperate times), Claiming he's "Black" when he's only half and half white...
Oops.. I meant ACORN was caught telling reporters how to cheat welfare.. not Obama. But he did support them and many believe he did so to be elected. which many politicians are guilty of.. including Bush jr. My point is that Politicians suck. We should restructure the system so no One individual is in charge of making choices or having a veto power. People also need to note that Republican and Democrats are not the only 2 choices...yet most people are dumbed down and creatures of habit.
@foulmouthfromsouth Not one person has thumbed you up because although we lost some good muscians those days, but they are deff not the 3 most tragic dates in history. I dont think i need to give you an example but i guess i will. Does 9/11 ring a bell???

Mark David Chapman: How I wish you burn in hell!!
You left this world out of a big human being and genius,as John Winston Lennon was!!
I wonder: Why the hell didn't you shot yourself?
That it would have been REALLY GREAT for this world!!
J.L. deserved to keep on alive, and he could have given this world all of the best of him and his excellent music!!
