  • I never saw her shows but heard a little about her, and saw a little here, and I like her. I wish there was some video footage of her work I could come by. Does she still do public appearances? Can you write to her?

  • Salley did something I bet many of you might have forgotten...she introduced the first show on video tape in Philly!

  • She even did an album in the late 50's backed by Bill haley's comets.

  • Remember her too I miss her on TV. I remember her in one of the 3 Stooges movies. they were all good friends. I also remember Gene London.

    I am sure dating myself. : )

  • Sally lived around the corner from my best friend in 1969 in Cherry Hill NJ. dressed like a cowgirl even after the show was off the air...used to crack us up...

  • @bristolstomp do you remember popeye theater-

  • I use to watch her everyday after school, she was the best. after wards I ran around valley forge, those were the days...

  • shes my neighbor and shes a bitch

  • Still Sexy, after all these years!!!

  • Wow. It's your gal, Sal!

  • Watched her every afternoon after school.

  • One of few TV personalities I recall from my youth. The other was Gene London.

  • I actually emailed Gene about two years ago,he's doing well,I couldnt believe he emailed me back...twice! Quigley Mansion,o those were the daze!

  • A friend of Gene's is running a YahooGroup about Cartoon Corners.

Look up Gene London's Cartoon Corners at YahooGroups.

I'd like to see a "reunion" of the early Philly kids' TV hosts that are still with us, such as Carter & Pat Merbreier (Captain & Mrs. Noah), Sally Starr and Gene London. Sally's 86 now, but at last look, still going strong.

    Unfortunately, Traynor Halftown is gone.

  • I loved her show. I watched it every afternoon after school, so did my brother and millions of others from the DelVal.

Happy 85th, Sally. So happy to see you're still making appearances.

  • Sally turned 85 on January 25, 2008.

  • Our Gal Sal and Popeye Theatre.

60's when we lived in Delaware, She has the same birthday as my sister, January 25th.
