Wally Wingert is part of a family of a generation of BATFANS of the TV's Caped Crusader among them including for example Butch Hartman, Matt Groening you pick another other than Wally Wingert himself.
Adam West is not only the true Batman, but he's a great guy in real life and loves the fans. I got a wonderfully personalized autographed photo of him not long ago, signed both Adam West and BATMAN, in his appreciation for a fan letter I wrote him. He is the keenest man who ever lived and the only true Caped Crusader.
Batman was the best Batman, I would say the same for Cesar Romero until I saw the Dark Knight. Lee Meriwheather was the best Catwoman. Frank Gorshin was the best Riddler. Burgess Merideth was the best Penguin.
They actually played it on the radio (wplj power 95 fm with Jim Kerr and Shelli Sonstein and the early morning crew here in ny)
And I recorded it on my stereo on to audio cassette. I should still have the tape somewhere. But it's great to see this posted here on you tube (thank you :) btw I never saw the vid to this till now
"Adam West" started out as a project called "Adam West Is Batman Best", when Wally Wingert found out that Adam wasn't going to be in the 1989 Batman movie. He'd recently moved from Sioux Falls to LA, and when he heard the Escape Club's "Wild Wild West", the original idea (he and I had done several parodies on Dr. Demento) was tossed.
By the way, we had a Batman 'club' in Sioux Falls; Wally was Batman, I was the Joker, and BelfMan was one of the henchmen. Lotsa fun!!!
Whether you like it or not, there will be NO Batman like Adam West! He is 100% more popular now than he was when the show was on, there are THOUSANDS and thousands of fan clubs in all countries, and no one will ever compare to him. He is SO loved.
With the references to "Mr. Mom" I am guessing this is is 1989 or earlier. Nice Job! I was working in a radio station in 1986 and Burt Ward was a guest. He said there was talk of a Batman movie. Listeners were avid that he and Adam West be in it. His response was "Holy Formaldehyde!" He simply told callers to write Warner Brothers. He was cool.
The comic was FAR more juvenile and sillly than the tv series. If the tv series had followed the comic point for point, it would have included Batmite, Batwoman, Bat-Gir, the Flying Batcave, Ace the Bat Hound, going back in time through hypnosis and other such nonsense.
Wow Wally! This is the first time that I've got to really listen to your song and I love it! Your buddy did an excellent job putting together the video!!! I really dig all the little extras he put into the production!
The image used for your profile pitcher.. What episode is that from?

Christian Bale, Val Kilmer, George Clooney and Michael Keaton made accounts just to dislike this song. Baturally you'd agree.

There's room enough in the world for all versions of Batman. This is a great tribute to the Adam West version.

Adam West was and still is the coolest Batman ever!
We wouldn't have the Dark Knight today without the original show!
Kudos to Mr. West, and rest in peace Heath Ledger, you will be sorely missed!

thats old, the dark roots began in the 70's. Earlier it was very juvenile & corny.
