  • I didn't think I had a chance when I applied! When I went to the information session,There were. Tons of guys there. I was like what am I doing here! Thousand and thousand guys applying. I did what I had to do! And got the job! You hear all these guys talking shit about the Marshals!! I'm here to tell you it's freaking great!!! Yea you have to do some court and Block! But you get plenty of street time!!! I love my job!!just a matter of time till ur on a TASK FORCE! Was worth the wait and all th

  • Just finished submitting my application. Let's see what happens now

  • The U.S. Marshals Service will post a vacancy announcement on March 5, 2012, at USAJOBS, which will be used to recruit for new Deputy U.S. Marshal positions. The posting will remain open until midnight on the day 5,000 applications are received or for five days, whichever comes first. Anyone interested in taking the Competitive Exam to become a Deputy U.S. Marshal must apply through the USAJOBS vacancy announcement.

  • Well let's see if I make it, doesn't hurt to try with my work experience.

  • I will be a US Marshal!

  • i think i saw one woman in there, im very disappointed marshals

  • @bigdog7013 Cant force em to apply. We had several in my class. 5 I think.

  • @11bravo1789 Lol i was kidding bro, but u guys should have several new hires this year, theres gonna be a new opening in march...

  • AFter I graduate college Im going for the Marshals!!

  • These guys have the broadest jurisdiction in the USA. Even more then the FBI does. Thy are the badest badasses of law enforcement

  • This is an inspiration to me

  • Does anyone know if you can be a Marshal with a GED? Please and thank you!

  • @a7x4lrev Nope you need a Bachelors Degree.

  • @a7x4lrev To be a Marshal you have to at least 3 years of work experience (preferably law enforcement experience), a bachelor's degree, or a combination of both.

  • @a7x4lrev Check out the US Marshals website. They list all the qualifications necessary to become a Deputy Marshal.

  • The Oldest Federal Law Agency in the US!!!!

  • @StanJacksable Customs is older, even though customs was a "revenue" agency, same year though!

  • This reinforces the fact that Marshals are badasses.

  • @TheAtl6100 uummm....I am a marine. it was pretty corny to me.

  • @raa0925 Noone asked if you were a Marine, so why take the time to state it? If its corny don't watch it. This video was bad ass to a LOT of people. so... aha, shut up.

  • @TheAtl6100 Me too.

  • do people need to know how to swim during us marshall training? i can not swim.

  • @mgerena1985 learn how to swim its not that hard

  • I just began my first year of college majoring in criminal justice. After 4 years and obtaining my bachelors degree in CJ, I am thinking of joining the army to be an officer in a combat branch (infantry, armor, artillery). After I do my 6 years I want to apply to the U.S. Marshals. What are my chances of getting hired?

  • @Patriots293 You do realize that you don't need military experience to be a US Marshal, right?

  • @BloodySawBlade yea but it would prolly help when i do apply, and i've wanted to join the army anyway

  • @Patriots293 Its competetive, and we dont hire that often. Military looks very good but college helps also. So do as much of both as you can. Dont just apply at the USMS, just get into any LEO position and then work on transfering if need be. I did not have a college degree, but I had a distinguished military career. So you just never know what they are looking for.

  • @Patriots293 exact same thing im doing except AF

  • @UnrealSnipa nice man

  • My nephew has been a Deputy U.S. Marshal for nearly 20-years. I'm retired from the business myself, but not the Marshal's Service. I can't think of a worse job than handling prisoners and raiding fugitives. Just ain't my cup of tea.

  • do i need to know how to swim to be a us marshal?

  • @mgerena1985 yes

  • It's a triathlon that we had to do when we transferred over to the Marshal basic.if you have any question about CI school or Marshal Basic just let me know ! I am a recuiter!

  • @MrGlck What about age? I seen on the usms web site that you can receive "waiver" for personal over 37. I am 38 with 5 more years until I retire from the U.S. Army. will I be eligible for a waiver at 43?

  • This is my dream and future.

  • God Bless the US Marshal...My prayers are going out to the family.... These people die giving us freedom and keeping us safe from scum..

  • This video might explain why they are rude and abusive when I run into them at the US Courthouse.

  • @206driver2 Some boys get too carried away with that "type-A" attitude. Never forget, you paytheir salary.

  • @206driver2 Amen! Seems they've been overworked and on a killing spree. They get a paid vacation you know while they wait for their lies and payoffs to clear, you know the bad ones anyway. I didn't hear their oath to uphold and defend the constitution. Did you? Just a lot about fighting and never dying. May God keep the good ones safe, and remind them they are on our side and help the evil ones to come to peace, so they may remember they are killing their brethren and cease. Blessings!

  • @206driver2 those arent marshals, those are screeners deputized by the marshals, theyre actually contracted

  • do you have to swim at the academy?

  • @33snic I think its something basic as 100m swim with any style you want.

  • Whooo!!! Everytime I hear that I get pumped!!!

  • A US Marshal was killed this week in West Virginia. He was doing a house entry after a armed fugitive. RIP hero.

And for the guy that says US Marshals dont train for militaristic type engagements....the n why is the US Marshals SOG unit carrying 249s, 240s, 203s, thermal, NVGs, while they operate in Afghanistan. Last time I checked....Afghanistan is a warzone.

  • @wadjetable Only 24 years old with only a year on the job, what a tragedy! Thoughts and prayers go out to his family, and the US Marshals Service. The whole nation lost a hero that day!

  • @wadjetable No deputy marshal has been killed by gunfire since the Ruby Ridge, Idaho, standoff in 1992.

    RIP Brother

  • @wadjetable Idk who said this to you, but the United States is declining and becoming a war zone. Lok at Akron Ohio, the Marshals along with every other law enforcement agency need to have the best equipment to protect and serve.

  • @wadjetable hell FBI, DEA and the National Guard are in Afghanistan

  • @wadjetable My thoughts in prayers go out to his family. I too don't understand why people think Marshal don't train like military. The DEA also operates in Afganistan but I'm sure the general public doesn't know that as well. I love the marshal and its one of my goals when I grow up.

  • how do you become a marshal? Is the pay good?

  • This is their basic academy. Their SOG unit is a elite team that you seldom hear about. You have to be a Marshall for 3 years before you can try out for the unit. I know a guy who applied twice before being accepted. They have very stringent requirements to even apply. The ones who make it to their tryouts, have a 1 in 4 chance to make it because they only pass about 25% of the people who come to the month long tryout. It is supposed to be as hard as a military Special Ops tryout.

  • YEP ! THATS WHAT WE DO!

  • Scookie002 are you a FKN english teacher now? These kind of comments dont surpise me coming from a person who has never had a badge. You never worked with marshals you FKN idot. I dont have time for people like you! Come talk to us when you know what your talking about and "grow up".

  • @ MrGlck, It's funny you mention armchair (which is one word) because that's where most of the Marshals I worked with spent their time. If you want to be a federal bailiff or a secretary with a gun, then this is the job for you.

  • @wire4paladin Well in excess of 6 figures works out to be more than 6 figures. That's what the work excess means. Your comment about working "FIST" operations was also entertaining. I am glad that you have so much time on your hands to respond to me, this is fun.

  • O thats right MIAVICE91 you have been through the academy (NOT)!!!! Dont post unless you know what your talking about!!! Bunch of arm chair QB'S!! I am a Marshal

miavice91 and scookie and you have no clue what your talking about.

  • @MrGlck

Well I WILL be a Deputy Marshal as soon as possible. I'll look you up.

  • Nahh, not everyone makes it through but the percentage of dropouts is low.

Once you get the appointment in, it's pretty much smooth sailing, just do your part.

And it's not like this is Marine Recruit Training, so all of you need to get over yourselves lol

    USMC Enlisted 2010 OORAH!

  • @MIAVice91 marine recuit training? seriously....where all you had to do is sign on the dotted line to get in. LOL you're an idiot

  • @msalak87

That's the Army. Nice try though.

  • @MIAVice91 Army, Marine Corps, Navy, and Airforce.......hell sometimes a GED is even good enough (depending on the time). I don't think the USMS accepts GEDs.

  • @msalak87

You need 15 college credits with a GED to enlist in the USMC. You need a four year degree for the USMS. I want to be a Marshal...no disrespect to the training...but they are training you for a lot less hostile an environment than the military.

  • @MIAVice91 I'd say less stressful but not less hostile and their training is geared more towards learning opposed to an initiation. Very different training from each other I've seen some tough guys who excel in a physical enviornment and yet they cannot complete a simple college course. The truth can be said about the reverse of that situation. I mean no disrespect to the military or the Marshals and my only point is that they have very different goals in mind and the training shows that.

  • @scookie002 are you jealous that you can't do this?????

  • HELL YEA

  • Hey snookie I mean scookie. Your just mad because your a mall cop!! You prob tried to get

hired and they told you to f- off. So Ill tell you again F-off and go play paint ball with your wana be poser mall cop freinds and pretend your a cop.

  • WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE VUVUZELA BUTTON??!

  • Pretty bad ass video. Funny that they didn't show a court room?

  • @ontheright1 they want people to join bro. Who would ever wanna join if you showed the boring part of the job

  • @ontheright1 lol

  • do you have to know how to swim to do this?
