There are cheaper helis available... But IMO, for the novice, the Innovator is incredibly stable and probably the best collective pitch 450 sized heli available ; )
cheers mate, you have been very helpful, just another small thing can you please tell me what make and size wood blades you have fitted,as i said thanks a lot, dave,
E-Flite Blade 400 mains fit ok . Make sure you tighten the blade grips enough or you might get a boom strike because the E-Flite blades are slightly longer than the stock foam ones.
Hold the heli by its tail ,Nose down and give it a sharp tug up and down. The blades should not drop down from horizontal enough to meet.
Mine flew great straight out of the box :) but after a couple of flights I changed the foam blades for wood and upped the head speed to 1900 which eliminates the bobbing of the tail it gets with the factory set up.
I also reduced the expo on the aileron and elevator as it comes with a very soft set up initially (You will need the software for this)
Just remember to raise the throttle trim enough to ensure the motor doesn't cut out whilst in flight
can anyone tell me the range of this heli plz?

@Jso003 The Innovator uses a 2.4Ghz system which is capable of being flown beyond the helis visible range.

cheers mate, i will program all your settings on the md530 on friday on my day off, thanks again.

I found thee settings good but to get rid of the tail bobbing you will need to fit wood blades and up the head speed (Governor RPM) to 1900

Nice smooth flying. What helicopter you got under that fuse?

Mikey,
Its a Thunder Tiger Innovator rtf. Comes with the MD530 fuse straight out of the box and Its a brilliant learners cp heli.
I have now dumped the training gear since this vid was taken and it flies great.
