The Irish seem to excelle at quality comedies that revolve around simple comedy, stories and plots, Father Ted for e.g. This is another one that has come out of Ireland, that doesn't need the crap, over the top, forced comedy that is based outside a studio churning up the same old crap week after week only changing a catchphrase or situation that person is in for a while. Good on Ireland and Good on Mrs Brown, I say. OH MRS BROWWWWWN!

Loved the series: it is like a throw-back to the 70s, when EVERYTHING was funny! Treating the ol' man to a weekend away in Bournemouth and a Friday night dose of Mrs Brown! A few drinkies, and some good ol', proper humour, with real swearing too. Can't wait!

Typical critics bashed the show but from the first day it has been the funnest show on the BBC for a while. Funner than half the shite they air on BBC3. Snobbery and ego get in the way. Watch it and give yourself a minute to settle. You will have sore sde by the end. Great work!
