a quick comment about tree farming you dont need alought of space for trees you can grow trees in about a 9x10x6-8 space with them in a checkerboard placement ... doesnt look very good but it works very efficiently

if you stack wood logs around the saplings you can increase the size of the tree (use at least 2 wood logs beside each side (left or right side only) of the sapling) 3 wood logs can make HUGE trees with some bone meal but it might take a few shakes of the bone meal... =D enjoy (this works on 1.7.3)

@doomsdaymidget97 You might need a better computer. try set the graphics, and close all programs other than minecraft. Maybe try to uninstall some programs if you dont use them. If it does not work you probably need a better computer :(
