Hooooooooooooooooooooobbessssssssssssssssssss! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! SUPER SLOOOO MOOOOOOO
No, they just omitted the word "approximation" since it is obvious to anyone semi-reasonable.
Just like saying Earth is round is understood among semi - reasonable people that it means "Earth is round as an approximation to such and such scale".
....just like Newtonian mechanics are a good approximation on our daily-life scales.
And this isn't really up to debate, pretty sure people with PhDs up there and all other NASA people related, know what was omitted.
@Hemul137 Regardless of how you decide to analyze or over-analyze it, my original comment is correct. You haven't said anything that would prove it wrong.
No one disputed that it is correct, the main problem with it is that it is pointless...so I bothered to expose to you in gory details why this is so such that you won't make the same mistake of stating pointless things in the future. Good day, sir.
@Hemul137 If you think you can stop me from posting information on the internet, then go ahead and try. I expect you are going to fail at that attempt.
@Hemul137 Why would you try to explain something to me for educational purposes when you already admitted that my information was correct? That seems rather pointless.
You missed the point, yet again, my friend. Objectively, your information is correct...as an approximation what they stated is correct, they omitted stating that it's approximation since it is self evident to anyone semi-reasonable.
The only point your comment could have is if what they said wasn't somehow obvious that it's approximation. This is false. Thus your comment is pointless.
Just like stating "2+2=4" here is according to regular math. rules, but pointless.
@Hemul137 It is reasonable to expect that the burden of proof should be on the accuser. You have accused me of making a pointless comment. Okay, I'll give a chance to prove it. I want you to provide proof that every one of the 65,744 people who have watched this video were already aware of the fact that there is gravity in space. If you can do that, then I will admit you were right. But if you can't, then I can say you were wrong.
You have said that as if you were correcting her. I am sure nearly 100% SHE knows it's an approximation.
Since Newton's gravity equation (from which your statement follows) is studied in high school physics class, anyone who passed high school physics, which is a part of standard education in school ..... knows this also.
Again, your comment was pointless unless you are talking to uneducated individuals, children, etc.
@Hemul137 Why are you trying to hard to sound smart. Your contributions are even more pointless than the ones you are attacking. However, it's worse with you because it takes you so long to say it. You're wasting everyone's time saying absolutely nothing other than "I knew that". If you want to be smart "Okay, you're smart. Everyone knows it." Now, please, say something that isn't idiotic.
"Trying to sound smart" ? Wait, referencing Newton's gravity equation which is studied by anyone who finished any semi-decent school is "sounding smart" ? You must have a very low bar about what is considered "smart" . You probably think that if a person went to college, he must be a genius.
"everyone's time", by everyone you mean who? Because I was only talking to 1 person.
In fact, why are you responding to this at all? Funny. Have a good day.
@Hemul137 Hey everyone, gather 'round. He wants us to know he's smart again. "oooooh, listen to how much he knows." He doesn't know what "everyone" means. Even though he's posting on a public board. Keep going, you're making me laugh, now.
You do realize that original poster is the one who tried sounding smart by stating
"There is no zero gravity (weightlessness) in space. Any place there is matter, there is gravity."
...when it's obvious that this is an approximation.
Hilarious how you didn't catch original poster trying to get an ego boost by stating irrelevant comment and when I pointed this out, you told me I am trying to sound smart.
You are not a very bright fellow, eh? Oh well, I tried. Moving along.
Are you kidding me you guys, how does this have even one dislike? Who ever disliked this i just wanna say you didn't miss your chance, keep trying at what ever you want to be, don't be made at life, go with it and also try avoiding things that don't involve your dream, Good Luck

pregnancy in outer space. that would eb grand. the first baby born in outer space . the pregnancy would be great.. off her feet and no need to be worrying about swollen ankels, feet.. or any other problems. it would be almost as if she was under water for the duration.
@Waldenburger I think it was one of the regular re-boosts they do for the station, to keep it in higher orbit. They fire rocket engines on the station for a bit, and that provides a slight acceleration..
im doing this when im older, i felt like when she was talking i could almost finish her sentances, thank you for this video and for everyone at nasa ill be seeing you in 10 plus years

pregnancy in outer space. that would eb grand. the first baby born in outer space . the pregnancy would be great.. off her feet and no need to be worrying about swollen ankels, feet.. or any other problems. it would be almost as if she was under water for the duration.

Is there any irregular acceleration? She floats wired.
Waldenburger 1 year ago
@Waldenburger I think it was one of the regular re-boosts they do for the station, to keep it in higher orbit. They fire rocket engines on the station for a bit, and that provides a slight acceleration..
maksphoto78 1 year ago
@maksphoto78 Yes, you are right. I forgot about that. Thanks ;)

does anyone know where they get an oxygen supply for such long periods of time?
how does the oxygen situation work?
muchufoo 1 year ago
@muchufoo Some of the oxygen is extracted from water and CO2, and some oxygen is delivered with regular supplies.

I love how her hair floats above her head. It looks so cool. I would LOVE to spend a week in weightlessness.
