Basset hounds are the nicest dogs you'll ever meet, and seeing all these videos on youtube cheers me up as I lost my best friend of 11 years yesterday. He was a tri color basset, he had the most emotional eyes ever, and was diagnosed with lupus and liver cancer yesterday. His name was Buddy.
@cpkm098 With my experience, and from opinions of other basset owners, the males do calm down after being neutered. They tend to roam less. Which they will STILL roam if left in an unfenced yard. They will fight far far less with other males. But if it's an intact ADULT male, it'll take a while for the testosterone to get out of his system....like 6 to 9 months. But in my opinion, it's well worth getting him neutered. Any male that I have, unless he's a breeder, I'm gettin him neutered!
@my4girls08 The last thing in the world that these puppies wanted was a kind little kid. They wanted a rowdy, full of energy, rambunctious litte boy that was going to wrestle and torment them until they fell over in comas! It's heaven on both parts.....the boy's and the puppies'.

@icevilmunkyz306 Yah, it's like having kids......sometimes they get along, sometimes they want to kill each other.
