  • Thanks grim

  • Nice, your readin my mind on all your videos i was gonna use a crown royal bag but this looks better. Hey grim i need a new heavy bag thinkin about title water bag for the shipping cost. Do you have any experience w them?

  • @Chubblybubbly100 My experience with the Title water bags have been very negative, I purchased one of the first tsunami round water bags, the hanging strap broke within 1 hour due to the weight , I then got the tsunami 150 bag which finally got a leak, I tried their new designed 130 lb water bags and 2 weeks later it started to squirt on people as they would hit it, the bags are a great idea but needs some more work.

  • I used hamster bath sand as a replacement . Additional $2 but sand is finer so more compact

  • Great F'n video man. You just saved me $25.

  • Brilliant! Thanks for sharing this.

  • good demo bro. Ive made lots these over the years and work just as good as any other if not better.. keep that head moving fellas..

  • Love this video. Great mazebag! Gotta make one myself!

  • wut id did was i took an old speed bag i had, filled it with air, tied up some old shoe laces to it and hooked it to a hook in my ceiling. its been 4 days and it still works awesome. u guys should try

  • Any hardware store or auto supply store should have them.

  • Hi, do you have any suggestions where I could find a bungee cord?

  • @raymond001 a bike or hardware store

  • thanks very much mate, made one today, cost me £2 lol.

filled a large balloon with water, to about the size of a Californian orange, wrapped in plastic bags and duct taped round it. then out in sock, and got 1 pound bungee cables, attached it to hook on ceiling and im flying !

i went with water as it is in my bed room, and id hate the sand to fall everywhere should the balloon burst.

  • @mattlencfc where you get the bungee cord from?

  • @nahblud B and M's. its a shop in The UK. they just happen to have these 3 bungee cords with hooks on them. ver handy

  • Awesome. I was going to use a tennis ball and string but this looks great!

  • yeah,well i use a brick :)

  • Very helpful ! Thanks so much :)

  • i used BBs instead of dirt though

  • not a bad idea though

  • what up i just subscribe. thanks for the info on the maze bag.

  • Where do you get balloons like that?

  • @gtaIV7 just use a sock.

  • @colesjeff12 Lol i used like 3 plastic bags with rice on the inside so i'm good thanks but it's still slow like i slip it and it takes like 3 seconds to come back

  • @gtaIV7 yea i mean use a sock and like 3 pounds of dirt or sand and duck tape the sock and hang it up. it works for me.

  • I'm about 5'6 140 lbs and 15 years old so what do you suggest i do with the maize cuz i don't think i can reach the maize if it's like that

  • Mount the bag to fit your height, when mounted and you standing in front of the bag it should be a bout the center of your face. Or the location an opponent will attempt to strike

  • @FightChannel Ok so around the nose or eyes height?

  • yep you got it

  • I don't live near a place where there is sand.....can dirt also work?

  • @cashmoneycollecter yep dirt will work just fine

  • @FightChannel

instead of Dirt I used plastic BB's and it works Great.

and its hard too so I can hit myself on the body to take punches.from opponents

  • Great idea with the plastic BB's

  • GRACIAS por estos consejos reciban un gran saludo AMIGOS

  • Nice vid, pretty much everything what u need to know included.

  • cool thanks dude

  • i just made one, hung outside in the garden on a tree. its a thick bit of rope with a tennis ball in and a rock, with rubber wire wrapped around, works a treat :)

  • awesome video.

  • Stationed in Iraq and slip bag at home. I now use a army sock with rock in it and 550 cord. Works as good as the one I bought 10 yrs ago. Good stuff your doing here.

  • Use a funnel when filling the balloon with sand makes it easier.

  • i used an old speed bag for mine.

  • this is awesome. was looking into buying a maize ball because head movement is definately a weakness of mine. tried using the speed bag at slow speeds but just didnt cut it. and if anybody knows where i can find some uppercut bags for cheap let me know

  • very simple, and i liked the attitude used during the video.

  • Happy maize bagging.

  • I just use some newspaper, it's really light but it does the job, swins back and forth :|

  • Great video, I meant to "Favorite" this a long time ago and forgot to.

  • Either add a little more weight or better yet, when it starts slowing down just give it a quick 1-2 to keep it going

  • thanks for the video bro! just made this out of stuff from home and its great!

only problem is that it stops swinging after 5 or 6 times so i guess it needs more weight

  • how can i make the small double end percision bag plz tell me.

    Thank you,

  • very simple and it works thanks

  • Appreciated!

  • nice...i rly needed a way to practice my head slip. i readjusted the height a little lower than forehead height(when standing upright) to about nose height when im in my (slightly crouched forward) stance. it was a little too high b4 that and i also crouch down a bit when i roll.

    thnx a lot

  • can you use rice instead?

  • Sure I don't see why not

  • thanks man

  • you are all welcome and that you

  • cool, thx for showing it.

going too make it too morrow :)

    Love from Norway :)

  • thank you,i'm slipping better already

  • You're Welcome

  • I used a rock in a old military laundry bag.

the net and a big round rock.

  • that's clever...

  • im pretty sure a funnel would have aided in this process

  • thanks a ton man thats awesome

  • men it`s ossom ;D ! respect

  • Great video; thanks for the lesson!

  • wow... awesome video man... thanks for going through the trouble of how to assemble it too, very cool contribution and instruction. I'm headed to the hardware store now!

  • alright thanks

  • sweet, thanks for the vid man. btw, do you noe where i can get that durable balloon, or, where did you get yours? thanks

  • you can pick up a pack of balloons from Walmart, Kmart, Target, etc

  • nice vid guy before i used to do lot of other random shit but this is a sick way to do it

  • Man, this is awesome, thanks a lot. Im gunna make one of these so it helps me threw my ametuer fights :)

  • hey thats awesome

I was going to buy one for 20 bucks

    haha

I have all that stuff at home im going to make it in a minute ,

    - thanks ! =]

  • Thanks man. I'm just starting in kick boxing, and i'm gonna make that bag. Keep posting videos, great stuff.

  • That's fucking awesome, I gotta say. My other options, apparently, were to order one from the UK for about $75. I am converting my filthy basement into a better training area, and this is going down there. Love it.

  • Thanks a lot man! Going to try this one for sure.

  • that is possibly one of the best home made things i've ever made, seriously, well done :)

  • You the man Grim. Keep up the great work.

  • Thankz mayne :-)

  • Great video! Your home made equipment videos are really helpful. Hope to see more ideas to come.

  • dude-use a cone

  • Without a doubt the best way to make it, but, i made one, i filled a food bag with Rice and put it in my sock then i tied a not and ducktaped it around the top. As for the cord, I used the bungee cord off my double end bg.

My way isn't perfect but it cost like 50p.

  • Going to make one now!!! Damn Bro, chicken & potato...I ain't gonna lie that shit is blah, but I'm trying....(refer to message)

  • i had nosand so i used cous cous, worked out fine though maybe slighty light.

  • And the great thing is that after an intense workout you can have a tasty treat.

  • yo grim it's been a long time ago.. thanks for this video, i'm 15 and currently studying "The Bob and Weave style" like mike tyson and joe frazier (Frazier is my idol) By using 10 pond weights with hands holding onto it, Maze bag, double end bag and tie rope from one wall to the next to duck under it. and of course working on heavybag, shadowboxing, skipping and Calisthenics. Thanks for the video i appriciate..

  • Thanks HipHopMusic4ever you are very welcomed :-)

  • using a funnel wouldn't hurt :p

  • Using what one has avaiable at the time is the main thing, I seemed to work it out very well without a funnel :-)

  • Wicked gonna make one, Thanks

BTW this guy would be good on Blue Peter ;)

  • i made mine differently. i filled a sock with sand and wrapped in trainer's tape. either way works just wanted to throw that out there.

  • funny, I bought balloons today, for another project. that worked out

  • great man! now i don't need to buy an expensive one. great idea.

  • wats ur shirt say?

  • great video thanks

  • Great clip!

  • anyone interesting in slipping punches should look up the video Cus D Amato its only 1minute 49 seconds long. but it shows you how to have someone throw punches at you and you duck its pretty good video. of cus training a young white guy how to slip

  • macgyver tip #86 use a small ring to widen the ballon lip area for filling sand.

  • Спасибо.

    Респект.

  • Awesome video. Thanks for sharing. I bought a Ringside maize bag a little while ago. Wish I had seen this video first! The Ringside one is slow and heavy.

  • i started football last spring and this and other videos have helped me a lot, ur awesome

  • Thanks you, keep it up man

  • thanks

  • Thank you for tips!

  • grim, do you still have the video of how to use the slip bag? i see it's not uploaded anymore.

  • 5H0M3D4M0N3Y I dont have that vid anymore it was lost when youtube hosed my other account, but when I have time I could do a better one

  • do you have a video for sale instructional on the maze bag?

  • Hey Grim, do you still train at Mateens? Just curious.

  • No I have not been to Mateen's in a while, I have been training at home, I have been meaning to stop by though, it's been a while

  • Oh I see. What's your overall amateur record? I'm thinking about going to Mateens for the summer to get back into it, do you have any idea how much they charge now and the quality of it?

  • nice vid..........i was plannin on makin 1 of these a while bak but i didnt kno how.....great vid...5*s

  • Cool video. I bought a maize bag from Ringside for like $15 or $20 a few months ago and I don't like it. It's the size of a speed bag and weighs probally around 5 or 6 ponds and comes with a chain to hook to the ceiling. It seems like the swing isn't really that good and it moves too slow.

  • this stuff is gold dust.

  • gr8 idea grim deffo gona try it.. your vids are gr8 thanxs.. have you any vids of you fighting that you wanna post..??

  • is there anything i can use instead of a bungee cord and a hook???

  • yes anything most likely will work, twine, string, rope, electrical cord etc

  • thanks

  • Yea, the speed of the bag.

I found a bigger balloon haha, so it's a bit heavier now and moves a bit better.

As for the shortening, was going to try that, but Im a pretty short guy, any shorter chain and it won't hit my head haha. So Im going to have to find something where I can hang it lower.

But it's good for now :)

    Thanks again

  • Ok, thanks Grim man :)

I was wondering if you have some tips to get the speed up?

My slipbag moves slow/normal pace.. I'm already used to it and could use it a bit faster to get my pace up too.. and besides that I guess it's also better for ur reflexes if its faster huh. I've seen some in vids that moved really fast.

  • Do you mean increase the speed of the bag it self? if so try adding more weight/sand to the bag and shortening the rope or what ever it's hung from

  • Thanks!!

This is just what I needed hehe.. was using my ankle weights lol, but too hard and too slow. Thought of buying one from Title, but with this that wont be necassary :).

Only thing I was wondering, ive read about how it should be the size of a glove and everything to get used to that real size... but that dont really matter does it? I mean, if ya slip it, ya slip it lol right?

  • I don't think the size is going to matter, if you plan on hitting the bag then a smaller target might be of more use

  • Great video, Grim! You and RossTraining have the best vids I've found on Boxing tips, tricks and tools. Nice!

  • thanks m8,
