Now what did yall think of the fight? I personally have no idea how Cruz got the decision. Cruz never really landed anything of substance except for maybe that knee in the first round, Benevidez was countering him with some hard hitting punches and broke Cruz's nose with a MEAN knee!

Sure Cruz got some takedowns but they didnt amount to shit, Benevidez was the one with choke attempts.

IMHO Benevidez got robbed!

man that sucks that cruz won. i mean the standup was almost even but benavidez was doing the most damage. i think they should totally revamp scoring in mma. i dont see why takedowns make you win a fight .

@acdktcen I agree it should totally be scored on who did the most damage. All these fighter have a goal to get a TKO and whoever gets closest to that goal should win! And takedowns should barely count for anything, it;s what you do on the ground that counts. Cruz had Bene mounted but wasn't even trying to do anything, while Bene was going for submissions.
