  • Are you aware mulatto means mule?

  • Halle and Jennifer are not white. *smh* And yes, Jennifer Beals DOES look like some blacks. Black doesn't come in one shade fits all. Please try to join the KKK since you are white. Vanessa L. Williams looks whiter than you, and she proudly proclaims herself a black woman. This is pathetic.

  • I love your twists.

  • when i go out i know i have to help myself only cause im poor...and its not a colour thing to help others but a money thing....i mean if im reach someday would help anyone no matter is colour or race...cause im mixed..;)

  • it has nothing to do with influencing one's "opinion" of their mom at all!

  • I know that being mixed will equal you being a minority racially. But the sad thing is colorism exist, and that until people can stop trying to make people black or white when they're both, and when people can stop seeing people as more then because of the color of their skin. This will continue to be an issue.

  • well said!

  • @tiffdjones Maybe I might run into you too in NYC since we both live here.

  • @SylviaNCali That sounds nice but it will never happen. Whites invented the concept of race to determine who gets what. It was a way of determining the allocation/misallocation of resources. During the Age of Exploration, Europeans would collect data from plants, animals, and even human beings. Taxonomy was applied to all three. Europeans would determine a person's aptitude based on their race and their races' civilizationals achievements.

  • @SylviaNCali This meant that if you came from a race that had a notable/noteworthy civilization (ie Japan, Babylon, Egypt, etc) would would still be discriminated against but you wouldn't be the most debased in society. However, if you, or your ancestors, came from a hunter-gatherer society (ie Sub-Sahara Africa, The New World, Australian Aborigines, etc) then you were the most debased in society. You'd be dehumanized because of it.

  • you know you're famous when some1 recognizes you

  • Mulatto? Yikes. I'm always shocked!

I keep forgetting that humans are still referring to themselves as mulatto in 2008. Yes, this is a special needs issue. Good luck to you.

  • You sound like those people who said AIDS was a gay disease. Assclown.

  • Qabalist, you're quite the charmer.

Anyway, I was reacting to the translation and the etymology of MULATTO - not the genetics. It's a derogatory term.

  • To whom is it derogatory? To those who use it for themselves, are they being derogatory?

  • Everytime I see your facial expressions, I find myself smiling and laughing. Are you make those facial expression, intentionally?

  • nope :-) I'm so glad you enjoy them tho!

  • Yes it really is, and the whole experience teaches you to be a stronger person and therefore, to teach future generations of people in your family to love themselves.

  • You know, I've had lots of rude comments in my personal inbox as well. So you're not alone !

  • while i'm sorry to hear that you've gotten rude comments, it's always nice to know one's not alone. thanks for sharing :-)

  • Tiffany you're great! You should definitley continue making these video's.

  • thanks! i think i will :-D

  • america is great in many ways, but i can't disagree with you here. thank you so much, Merry!

  • you are so full of shit are you an authority on mixed race? your a complete disgrace

  • please stop making accounts just to spam me with rude messages. i will eventually have to figure out how to report you.

  • I don't recall you ever saying you were the authority on mixed race people. But you are mixed race and have every right to comment on the issue as you see it,how you see it from your perspective.so just ignore 55lashes.Obviously someone has issues.

  • someone does. i don't get it. now they've started making videos to warn people against my "mixed race propaganda." big sigh. probably some insecure adolescent. thanks for your support!!

  • You know, in 500 years the whole world will be mixed race. They can't stop it anyway ;)

The bigger the theses, the bigger the antitheses ;)

  • great point! Thanks for your support!

  • I'm glad you brought up the issue of jealousy. I hate when people make the assumption that those of us who aren't mixed are somehow envious of mixed people who have the option of identifying as "other." I think the problem is, to some, it seems that people are not wanting to identify as Black simply because they don't like that part of them. And I know that to be true from experiences with people I know.

  • @mom2dave EXACTLY. Because it always comes from those who really coulfn't pass if they wanted to. This young lady has very strong Afro-typic features. There are people in my black family who resemble her look. No big deal. They're black, and I'm sure they have some mixture as do we all to some degree. But those who make a big deal of it almost always tend to be the ones who cannot pass for non-black, so they want to let the world know they are mixed with non-black.

  • I just want to say I respect you a lot Tiffany. People in this aren't comfortable if everything doesn't fit into a category. We are all unique individuals and deserve to make our own path. I look forward to seeing your future blogs. Keep up the wonderful work.

  • thank you so much reyvincent :-D

  • you're a very inspirational person.

  • wow! thanks so much!

  • congrats on ur 50th video!!!

  • thank you!

  • hollyhoodjoe always hits the

nail on the head with his comments

ive noticed that in my vids also

  • Chase the American dream, what does that mean? What values do we really hold? Blame it on celebs & the media? Just like the freemasons standing up to their king, why can't we understand that? Everything in the history of this country is based on making money. Declaring independence, civil war & 9/11. What values do you have? Stand up for them. You know the difference between wrong & right. A person doesn't need college for that.

  • no. but perhaps to discover what your values are and what is right and wrong in by one's own individual standards, one needs to get away from their initial environment where those things have been shaped by others. college is a safe place to explore. you can do it anywhere tho. that was my point.

  • love ur cordial mannerism...TY

  • :-D

  • you need concentrate on yourself. for me, I know that I'm not technically 'black', but if people see me like that , so be it. Who cares about them?

  • so true. as long as i don't allow them to start to influence how i see me and back me into a box.

  • I love how you speak so intelligently!!Your videos are really informative too.I like this one and how you talk about how a person could maybe consider moving to a different area and develop as a person out on his or her own...that is so me all the way!I love independence and just knowing that I can explore life the way I want too!

  • Yay!!

  • Excellent vlog. I totally agree about change of perspective. I went away for three summers in college and those summers really helped build me into who I am. I got to meet totally new people and "try out" different aspects of myself with them. Then I'd go back to my family and friends with a new layer of confidence and self-worth. It's hard to stay open to who you are supposed to become when you're trying to maintain an image of who you think you should be. It never works out.

  • i like your concept of "trying out" different aspects of the self

  • I loved your point about moving away from being caught up in how others see and define you. Everyone should live their own life and not let society think for them. That's the beauty of individuality! Love your vids.

  • thanks so much! youtube has taught me that not everyone feels that way. it's so interesting to me. so many people seem comfortable letting society choose and think for them. certainly not all, probably not most, but many!

  • Yo i feel ya. It is important to find who you are and what makes you happy. I had that same issue to I called it Mind fucking my self..lol

But we do that sometimes when we feel we are not good enough, thats the only time a person shouldn't listen to there selves.

It is definitely up to you to decide and define who you are and what you should be.

    great vid. peace

  • thanks! i enjoyed your monday spades game vid :-) looks like that was a good day!

  • Yeah it was.We had a lot of fun. peace

  • I can't help but to think you were being condescending about my analysis.

Oh, well. If you said I changed your way of thinking, then I did.

  • What!? Why? I was being totally serious. I never saw it that way before.

  • I don't know. Its rare that people agree with me. And, by chance, if they do agree with me, then they quibble about minor details.

Its great that I changed your perspective.

  • Yes! It is! Thank you :-)

  • i get to sign in first on your videos, tiff.

check your mail on 'self-respect', we seem to track on the same field. lol

  • we do! and i love that phrase "track on the same field." that's a new one for me.

  • I totally agree with you on the new perspective thing!

    :P

    xoxo

  • hi! yes, it's very important :-D
