what's limiting power to weight with ev motors will come down to materials that can withstand the torque developed and these electric motors are basic now.

Liquid cooled would half there weight, halbach array perm magnets increase power directing flux inward,new hard as stel composites,it's just the beginning of ev, ev vs ice it's like comparing ipod to a hand cranked calculator

Besides the F series racing have a unique system they use to generate their high performance, they use high compression principles a vehicle can have as many as six compression units on it depending on it's classification rating.

I agree with a standing start it would have been interesting, but understand a f3 has a hell of a lot of torque, and it capable of reaching 100 mph in first gear .. I don't understand why they did a rolling start I consider this comparison to be invalid ..

Any type of vehicle can be dangerous, ev types aren't alone when it comes to that as well

Yeah, true. Imagine if the car was fitted with nothing but super capacitors, allowing for greater overvolting in the same DC motor, perhaps cooled with transformer oil. The result would be less weight and much higher bhp. The wrightspeed isn't about raw speed though, it's about range.

@mabdiuhrman If they use a rolling start I think the samething will happen with the white zombie it will lose the same way as the X1 did, it will need to have it's settings changed to run the same as an F3 does, it can be done..

Of course an electric car can beat a F3 car. Anyway the WrightSpeed X1 isn't a electric F3, it's like comparing a street Ferrari car with a F3.

@DayB89 actually the WS X1 is set for legal street running, so is the white zombie though there are adjustments made to the white zombie at a race, an f3 isn't street legal it would never handle well on the street because of it's high monster settings it's the stop and go that is the nightmare .. lol .. it would hit 15 vehicles in front of it before it would stop ...
