I'm born and raised in Canada(westcoast), but my mother imigrated in 1975 to Canada. My father also. They both came from what is now Eritrea at seperate times, through Italy. They are Tigrinya speakers. So that makes me a Canadian born Eritrean.
what's up ic skle i was just curious if ur name was isaac and u have a sister named lula cuz ur story seems to be of a person i knew in vancouver way back in 84-86 that's how long i lived in van city b4 i moved to toronto where i'm currently residing, by the i'm ermias and i had two sisters if u remember
I don't klnow wat beja or hadendawa call it but we call it mdelal the beja and the hadendawa use sayffs but the blens use sticks and jump on to the sticks as the latter use sayffs. but bro esomia is totally different sort of dance and there is no krar in esomia only drums and they drum sounding beat that they do with their feet ashan ytamar/excitement more lol. and if there is a bleni around that know more please correct me if i am wrong.
Hey guys, this is Bilen song. But it is not Wesomia. This is a song that is used during BILIN wedding. There are around 10 more other types of BILIN dancing. But I really love Wesomia. I used to play it.Ahh I really miss it. i wish i could get people to play with. But, you guys if you need more information about Bilin and their culture, let me know.
hey hey hey bro i'm very certain that esomia is very blen'na. yes the traditional blen dances are both men and women jumping to esomia's beat. actually i am getting to relearn some of the blen tradiotinal stuff that i thought were blen but are actually tigre which in both eyes really no difference if you ask iether one. ask any blenawi they will def tell you waht esomia mean to them, lol. and btw tigre is the easiest lingo to learn if you give it a try. peash!
I was told by a Beni-Amer man that esomia is when they jump with the swords(Tigre and Beja). That is only to the krar, from what I see there is no beat. I don't think Blen'na use a Krar and jump with swords and roll. The Bilen jump with arms around each other sometimes wth sticks, they have another wariors dance with swords staying on the ground. BOth ethnic groups obviously share a similar double beat.
Ya, if you are Tigringa speaker Tigre is the most easiest language to learn. When I was a kid I use to listen to Dimit Hafash Tigre program and I could understand what is being said by just listing only.
I don't think the Bilen or BIlena as sometimes called, do the esomia, that dance when it's two people is strictly Tigre' or Beja. Bilin's still have the group jumps and woman with Afro's. You probably already knew that. Ofcoarse they've shared. Peace out.
lol who's got what tendencies? let the record show, i appreciated your note:) and yeah yo, you would've definitely got that holler from abayey n her crew had they not been busy settin some other sucka straight (hehe i kid) appreciate all the great tracks
ewa, and bilen women aren't known for the same thing? actually, i ask because i remember zeineb singing it long ago and it was introduced as such. plus, the women in family stay singing it
:) i have a sudden urge to tie a dollar in their shellil and throw some embaba hehehe a feeling that's being heightened by a special keren'eet getting wedded there today
good song, good song:)
btw, are you sure it's tigre? i think it might be bilen...
