  • He is No.1 for me Andy Roddick.

  • I love you Andy Roddick.

  • Andy is great tennis player.

  • I like Andy Roddick, his play style is no.1

  • He is great. I like you Andy.

  • Great tennis player, Andy Roddick.

  • I like his tennis playing style.

  • He plays tennis so cool.

  • Roddick is great.

  • @FireGirlG more like what planet are you on...do you even watch tennis? He has most fans at the USOpen but other us tournaments people hate the guy. He is rude to ball boys/girls and was in a tweet fight with a fan that called him out on it on his twitter. Here where I live we root for him to lose and like sam, isner and mardy way better. andy is just so cocky that he just needs to get over himself and play tennis, but we all now he hasnt been able to play very well for a while now.

  • umpires can't beat A.Rod

  • you can't measure every single aspect of the game. the umpire makes the judgment and you accept it.

  • andy u are such a hypocrite you do it all the time and it was out!! robin deserved the point he shouldnt lose it bc of a mistake. its not like the point was urs. this is why american fans hate andy roddick!!! i hope he loses early at the usopne.

  • @bigdc12 I hope you learn how to spell.

  • @bigdc12 American fans don't hate Andy Roddick. What planet are you on?

  • @StupidJealousPeople "There's no point watching tennis when player is overrated and rich"....your screen name obviously refers to you..correct?

  • It's fucking TENNIS!

  • He moans a LOT lately!

If Soderling didn't hear the call then the "timely manner" can only begin once he found out about the call, and it WAS soon enough after he was told the score!

  • god bless you

  • I feel called upon to defend Andy:) 1) not arsehole, but American with strong personal integrity/ wee bit of a bad temper (nobody's perfect); 2) I never hear bad comments on Andy from anyone other than men... jealousy cos he's easy on the eyes? 3) winning a grand slam with Federer/Nadal around is not as easy as it looks, and 4) staying in the top 10 consistently for 10 years or whatever he's done, means only one thing: a fine, consistent professional who makes the sport what it is today.

  • just WIN

  • Makes sense and I think he is right.

  • stuped retart

  • Sad that Roddick has turned into nothing more than a jaded press conference clown.

  • hey guys check ut my vids and leave a comment or 2

  • Damn, when has this guy won an event that actually matters

  • @Vyse500 this year. in miami. a masters 1000.

  • is he crying??

  • Roddick, childish antics aside, is right, there should be a rule of how long you can take to challenge.

  • yeah roddick, this is something to get worked up about... NOT! that's why you will go down in history as a "never-was"

  • @nalbandianfan09 How many grand slams has Nalbandian won? Or just ATP titles in general? Exactly.

  • @morganlogan i don't recall saying anything about nalbandian... i just hate roddick. i was at this match and he is an asshole. roddick is a one slam wonder who couldn't pull it together to win more than his lucky '03 open.

  • @nalbandianfan09 It will be remembered as someone who came up in the same time as Federer's dominance. Without Federer he would no doubt of won more slams. Look at the finals and semi finals where he only lost to the eventual winner, Federer. There's a difference between being an asshole and being an intense competitor. You should learn that.

  • Comment removed

  • @morganlogan hypothetical situations mean nothing. we could sit here and "what if" all day but its plain and simple that roddick will only have one slam. if roddick was a true champion he would have adjusted something in his game to beat federer instead of losing to rog 19 times. also, you can be both an asshole and an intense competitor, which roddick is. take nadal for example... JUST an intense competitor.

  • @nalbandianfan09 How many major championship have you won? Ah, just as I thought, none.

  • @todzillarockz51 what does that matter?

  • Even ten seconds is quite a bit of time to challenge, though I think in special circumstances there's some confusion for the player on the score or if the ball was in or out, it can be extended for a little while.

  • loooove him lol

  • andys hilarious ha, this is the only reason i like tennis

  • I think there needs to be some kind of time limit for a player to challenge! I've seen umpires let 30 seconds go by and still let a player challenge and I've also seen em only let 10 seconds go by! The rule needs to be clearly defined! What if the shot clock in the NBA was at the referees discretion?

  • @HanksBalla50 I totally agree with you.. like del Potro at the US Open last year. he took like 45 seconds I swear

  • Time limit discussion or not, the end of that match (I only tuned in for the third set so I'm not sure how the rest of the match was) seemed really disorganized in terms of line judging. I'd watch and in 5 seconds a ball went from in to overruled to out, and there were a few terrible overrules by the chair umpire. So even though Roddick shouldn't allow this to frustrate him (thankfully it didn't totally collapse his game), I guess it was an issue worth bringing up.

  • 'Timely manner' would depend on the circumstances, like whether or not a player heard the call in the first place. There's a REASON it's a not defined as a specific time period, exacty so umpires can use their best judgement regarding the circumstances.

I guess that's a concept too hard to grasp for Roddick.

  • @WilliamBradenT: In case you didn't get the message, SHUT UP!!!!!!!

  • It depends on the situation! That is why it is the umpire's judgment. Obviously there was confusion on this call so Robin took more time b/c no one knew what was going on. Also Roddick had no business winning that point anyway, ball was smack on the line. What a baby. And now he attempts to justify his rude and juvenile behavior. Typical Roddick. Isn't he pushing 30? Ya he is. Time to grow up.

  • @WilliamBradenT

Just shut ur mouth callin Roddick a baby.

He's a true champion and 10 or 12 seconds are

good time limits.U can't wait till 5 minutes If u wanna challenge

U know nothin about tennis.Grow up bitch.

  • @WilliamBradenT: Exactly. He admitted he thought Robin didn't hear the call at first (in which case it's no surprise Soderling didn't challenge right away), yet he still badgered the umpire about "how long is too long," and acts as if he got screwed. Another example of why Roddick never has been and never will be a great champion.

  • who in the hell kinda umpire is gonna argue with roddick about anything tennis related? fail!

  • @mizsoutiger: Oh right , because Roddick would never be wrong about anything "tennis related!" LOL!

  • @EmitFlestiKY umm yeah. 'roddick' in greek mythology means 'god of tennis' so that's good enough for me.

  • @mizsoutiger : wow, you're 0-for 2 in terms of making any sense regarding this video. your first post implied that Roddick should be assumed to know the rules better than the chair umpire (and everyone else too, I guess). Your second post makes even less sense.

  • @EmitFlestiKY ppl like you make life worth living. i love getting in the head of overly seriously ppl and watching them try to figure it all out. it's great fun. relax, take a breath, and smile. it's a stupid video of a tennis player. treat it as thus.

  • just couldn't get a flippin' answer.

  • thirteen and two-fifths seconds should be the rule.
