Awesome GTO, my best friend had a 69 and we ran over a stop sign back in the 72 and it tore the stop sign out of the ground concrete and all and when we looked at the front end only a 1 inch cut mark in that bumper! Best bumpers ever made in auto history! Best damn car made in auto history!!!

Even were your Civic not one of the ridiculous anemic Pep Boys fartcan-clad trash heaps that burn oil as every legitimate car on the road passes them, and it could in fact outrun this classic piece of vintage American muscle... at the end of the day, you're still driving a POS Civic. And that GTO will still turn heads and get admired at every car show, stop light or gas station it visits.

Thanks for the information! I have been searching on Utube for a long time trying to find some one with this combo! I am also building a 455 with Jim Butler ported E-heads and the 288 extreme energy comp cam. From the way yours sounds and you comments about its performance. I am excited to get mine put together. Have you had the chance to run it at the drag strip? I am curious about the performance potential. I am hoping for high 11's and maybe 110+mph. Is your exhaust 2 1/5" or 3"?

I have 3" exhaust behind ceramic coated Hooker Super Comp Roundport Headers and a Flowmaster kit with x-pipe and 40 series mufflers. I have not had mine to the dragstrip yet. The first time I had hte car on the road after the engine install was awesome. You will be very pleased with teh combo since it appears very similar to my build. I also put a TA Performance rear end cover on the stock 10-bolt rear until I upgrade to a 12 bolt or maybe a Ford 9 inch rear. Have fun and good luck.
