Clown loaches don't prefer the dark. They just hate your too cold, not enough current, looks like shit, has white substrate tank. Also you got pwned by the woman from Finland.
Unfortunately your cichlid tank looks so artificial, nothing to do with Malawi biotopes. And other fish species from Asia. Try real rock formations with algae growing. Start the rocky set up directly from the front glass. Then You could have diverse details and your fish species are a part of it; dramatic looking rocky canyons, rock walls, spectacular looking individual rocks and a three dimensional scenery. It's worth it!
Wouldnt the normal brownish reddish bircks with two holes in them work that is what i have for my tank theres 13 bricks giving the the fish 26 knooks and crannies and it doesnt take up that much space and u cant paint them to make them look pretty
U should put yellow lab cichlids in their. And yellowtail cichlids. And bumblebee cichlids. And demasons cichlids. And gold malawis. And zebra cichlids.....and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and And and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and
Good vid man. Like the set up. Couple tips/suggestions...get more fish. In a 55, with mbunas you will want at least 10 more fish in there (20 africans plus 3 others you have). The more you have the better. Overstock to limit aggression. Check out a couple of my videos and it will give you a solid idea. On the right track for sure man. You can tell you keep up with maintenance and all that. Well done boss. Sub;d.
@Pbuddhafull Okay...I'd rather have a response from the person who actually made the video? For one you DO NOT use play sand in aquariums. You have no idea what sort of chemicals n' such are put into them, and two play sand doesn't even look REMOTELY white.
@JGS187 oh gee man calm down D: just tryin to help you out. And yes you can use lpay sand you just have to clean it well. I work in a pet store and also own about 3 tanks. I've used play sand before and actually have some of it in a 55 gallon tank as of now. You know they also sell white play sand right? White and without any chemicals. ;)
