Thanks for this tutuorial. I have a MAC. just purchased the HTC thunderbolt, BUT i use Outlook for MAC...not iMail or the Address book.

I have my entire Contact list in Outlook complete - company names, categories, address/phones/fax..etc. All the info didn't "export/import" over into the Address book - and those company listings are at the top of the list (on my phone) all labeled "unnamed".

HELP? how do i fix this and why can't I import from my MAC using Outlook? :(

Flash is an old technology, looking at html 5 and webGL is far better then flash, developers can use it without paying to Adobe and its more stable

4g is on iPhone 4s so much more is all available, way more then any android

Plus, android has 0 security, a 9 year old can write virusses for android

@XcodeMod But the security on an iphone isn't all that great. ios 5 was jailbroken less then 24 hours after the beta was released. So their system can be hacked with ease as well, sadly.

#1 reason why I use an iPhone and refuse to get an Android. All of my music, photos, movies, podcast, contacts, email addresses, apps, and more are all managed and synced through one place, iTunes. Simple.

I laugh at my brother because he used DoubleTwist to try to sync his iTunes music library to his Droid and only 50 out of his 2000+ songs synced.

@XcodeMod 40% of all websites use flash. The iphone has no 4g capability, no HDMI output, no 1080p video recording, and no micro/mini usb port, all of which are available on Android/Windows devices. Worse, it never progressed beyond the tiny 3.5" screen. Granted, the iphone was great when the only other option was Blackberry, but nowadays it's lagging behind, making it one of the most overrated, obsolete smartphones out there.

why would you want to limit yourself with syncing apps ? just mass transfer like you do a USB stick and sync contacts/calendar info with the cloud, so much more freedom and part of the reason why I switched to Android.

Why would you want to fiddle around with the raw files when you just have to select them from your library and tell them to sync to your device? Google need to make a syncing app for all Android devices.

@TalesOfWar more freedom ,the thing is smartphones do more than just multimedia, so relying on a syncing app means no other types of files can be transfered,drag and Drop so much easier in the long run,

you can use it with any number of computers

copy stuff back and forth easily,

As far as important data is concerned I just sync that with the cloud.

Also you can select the files straight from iTunes and drag them to the phone, it's that easy and a lot more flexible too.

Ive owned 3gs,4, milestone and blackberry bold and I think out of them all the 3gs was the best,because I never once got a dropped call but then on the first day I got the iphone 4 I got 2 dropped called just because I had my finger on the antenna. Im not gonna change the way I hold a phone because it was poorly though out

@cocacolacrazypants2 Get a case, problem solved. The antenna is actually better than competing devices minus the obvious flaw. It's a compromise worth making for the superior reception in every other circumstance. It also seems to be more of an issue in the US than anywhere else. Here in the UK I've not heard of anybody I know with one having any such issue. We actively try to kill the signal and fail every time so it seems to be more to do with the network than the phone itself in my experience

The best technology purchase was my first Mac, and my worst technology purchase was an Android phone (Desire), Android sucks so bad, after using an iPhone for so long I was so disappointed, and as a Mac user the experience was even worst. I was surprised to be honest as Google normally are rather cross platform.
