  • What an underrated song. FFS I love this song. lol it's super good.

  • love it I listen to it every day

  • so he wont help starving men? asshole

  • @sledgeface77 no, listen retard. He said nothing will make us move, except for helping the needy.

  • Stand Up and Fight SOPA!

  • stand up and occupy

  • I dont wanna be that guy.....but the only way to dislike this is if you intentionally came hear to press dislike. X__X

  • This song has a lot of meaning to it!

  • This music is very relevant to the times.

2012, hopefully not the year of revolution, but peaceful resolution.

...But that's a foolish hope... Even here in Stockholm, there's so much civil unrest. It's only a matter of when everything blows. Goths save us.

  • @TheWanderingPariah

Put your hands up and I'll copy you...

  • I think Blue Scholars and Flobots should do a song together.. That would be a lot of realism in one song.

  • 'Cept by a freedom fighter bleeding on a cross for you. This line makes me think of how selfish and greedy we've all become.

  • fuck bush

  • This is rap. This is the truth! Flobots Forever!

  • I think this is what Rap is about

  • @Neon9677 This song along with Handlebars is the absolutely only reason that I actually gave rap a chance. Of course, it's also some of the little rap that I enjoy.

  • my favourite line "We the people do not want war!" Maybe our governments will wake up and realise this one day!

  • lots of angry people here... little advise, think about tits.

  • @kristm2003 Genius.

  • @silverknight009 worthy of Einstein

  • @kristm2003

    lol

  • @Glemo14 flobots and icp are on the same level for me. they both have 1 or 2 good songs, but otherwise suck and their ideals suck. actually, icp doesnt try to hide behind an image, they admit to be a for-profit band whereas flobots sells their albums and tries to pretend theyre for some greater good viva la revolution shit.

    but theyre both fucking stupid.

  • @capetorial who cares if they are just for profit at least they are trying something. what have you done that has bettered the world. seriously follow the message not the band.

  • @capetorial Fuck u hater if u have nothing good the say dont fucking comment

  • @capetorial if you weren't such a stupid little prick you might realize that that was a METAPHOR and on top of that if you actually saw them in concert or looked at any of the other lyrics to this song you might just realize its about all the people who are less fortunate than you who sits at a computer all day and how we can stand up together to help them so just cause you dont like their music cause you like disney channel instead doesnt mean you need to talk crap about them

  • Rise Against and Flobots last night, and they played this! :D

  • @ostrichnipz I was there fucking amazing!

  • flobots and rise against playing in denver on december 6 for "not so silent night" fucK yeah 2 amazing bandz in the same night i must be trippin hardcore

  • @Glemo14 yes, they do. just like flobots.

ok, they suck more than flobots.

    but they still suck

  • 0:25

    thunder and lightning:

as water rises from the earth (evaporation), it becomes negatively charged (ionized). thus creates a potential between the sky and earth. when its discharged in the form of electricity, this is what we call lightning. the burst of heat and energy causes sonic pressure, thunder

you now understand thunder & lightning.

see: "fuckin' magnets, how do they work?"

  • @capetorial

It's this cool thing called a metaphor.

  • @capetorial It's a metaphor.

  • @capetorial Its a metaphor, why we have have war and violence, not literally, dumb fuck.

  • 23 people are in wheel chairs.

  • This song is good, but some wars are pretty understandable. IE: The current war, against Osama Bin Ladin's remaining terrorists is pretty understandable, because terrorists are bad. If we didn't fight for our fossil fuel, then sure, we would never have Pollution ever again, except for 2 things: We have grown used to cars, and to abruptly take that away would hurt the American People. Also, we are just passing our Pollution onto another country.

This comment was not meant to aggravate people.

  • @AlmostAnyGame The war against the remaining terrorists is just a lie man. It always was, the real terrorists and gangsters are in the government of the United Stated. Imagine if, just if 9/11 was founded and planned by Americas government. Terrorism is commiting acts of terror such as bombing in order to intimidate a population or government. If 9/11 was planned my the government they are the biggest terrorist in that scenario since they terrified their own population.

  • @AlmostAnyGame If you can find it, I would recommend Who Killed the Electric Car?

  • i listen so i can rap along with the lyrics! plus the song is so incredible

  • Has anybody played this on Wall Street lately? Because that would be awesome.

  • @chillieluvr45 i haven't been to Wall Street, but it was playing at Occupy Providence.

  • tru dat son

  • if you have the time to make this sone go get a job and get off the street

  • @shanon2009ify sone? If you can't spell go get a education and get off Youtube

  • @DeathDealer10333

    yeah get

    a education

  • does the singer sound like rob derick the skater

  • Epic!

  • Proper music. Not shit rapping about guns and drugs. <3

  • when the power of love overcomes the love for power the world will know peace

  • @Juggerknuckle jimi hendrix :) gotta love that man

  • War... war never changes. (yes I stole that from Fallout)

  • song*

  • Thumbs up if you sent yourself

  • we gotta change the way we live today

so we can live a happy life tomarrow

we are being punished for something that we do not indend to do

why is WAR in our nature

i think god gave that idea, so he can see what we do with it

  • @cepriano96 War is inevitable.

  • @cepriano96 War is inevitable.

  • @AribterRyan You try to speak wise, but your words are clouded in hate. Why do people have war? Because it starts on one side, one side wants power. If we can stop this thinking, we will be able to stop war. So next time you try to sound smart, it just makes you sound like a total asshole.

  • @yoshilicker (I myself am joining the royal marine commandos) but to have peace there has to be someone willing to fight for it. I'm not saying war is good but some times it is necessary.

  • @AribterRyan You see, that makes you sound wise, but saying that war is inevitable (war cannot be avoided), sort of makes you seem one sided and full of hate (like the people that want to blow up all Muslims).

  • @yoshilicker I see were you come from now and i should have developed more when i first wrote my comment. I did'nt mean to say it as war can never be avoided. I was trying to to say how some people can be so full of hate as you said that they make war un-avoidable sometimes.

  • @AribterRyan Okay, lol this is like the first time I've ever seen an argument actually be solved on youtube, no hard feelings? : )

  • @yoshilicker hahaha you speak the truth there :P. There were no hard fellings in the first place mate I considered this personally more of a debate than an argument. :)

  • @uamaster12

actually old time rap was more about rapping and bitches than today!

    Great comment though!

  • I came here for Handlebars.

    I found all this.

    Flobots forever.

  • this song is my ******* sh*t

  • @xDxphresh It's a viola.

More beautiful than a violin, because it's got richer low tones. Just saying.

  • The chorus for this should be in a TOMS commercial.

  • a friend on facebook just recommended this to me. we are now playing this in the talent show

    (love the violin)

  • WE NEED A REVOULTION!

  • @SAYITAINTALBERT

We Need To Boycott The Big Companies That Opress The Worker!!

  • @iamsatan90 but i wouldnt be rich then D:

  • best flobots song. period.

  • This is rap, it has a diffrent style than the rap everyone seems to know best, that's all.

  • z's folk Stand Up for your freedom

  • What is with modern music that makes it so popular? OK, the tunes are really catchy, but I think that songs like this have more meaning than that, and deserved to be listened to!!!!

  • @Quilly7x Well, it's that almost everyone today is blinded by ignorance.

They are kept down and made stupid by the oppressive forces we see in schools and government funded programs.

They feel like they can connect with the society that a rapper talks about because they have no future endeavors to work for.

They are content to let the world make them think whatever comes along to brain wash them.

And today, rap music makes them think that they should be "gangsters"

I think this is sadly true...

  • @theaccushot Wow... that IS so true. I think you should spread what you said around because if you ask me, it has more meaning than any old "thought of the day" my teacher can come up with.

  • @Quilly7x Thank you, I'm an activist.

I started a riot in the gym of my school about a week ago.

When I was in 5th grade, we got the vice principal fired.

  • @theaccushot DUDE THAT IS AWESOME!!!

  • this is what old time rap used to be about problems in real live not gangbangin and bitches

  • @uamaster12 Bro, that's what real rap is. There are still plenty of rappers out there that are real you just nead to know where to look. If you ask me eminem and lil wayne aren't rappers, they're posers.

  • tell me why would you dislike this song???

  • Don't Like It GTFO.

    ~~Wit luffs

  • Flobots> Eminem

  • I can't stop rapping to this. One of my all time favorite rap songs.

  • Damn i want the instrumental top this so damn bad!

  • 21 people are to fat to stand up and are in the goverment!

  • great song but... why is it that the video link that comes after the song is "fat people falling" and prolly involves a fat person falling?

  • this is fucking great i hope more new artsists follow in these footsteps

  • The Bush Regime has committed high treason, now we must prosecute...

  • We the people did not want war, oh please. 76% of the American people supported the war, Congress gave the military a resolution to remove Saddam Hussein, the U.N. supported the attack with resolutions as well, where did this myth of dissent come from?

  • wow the title of the album... "fight with tools"

either you're the poor guys who starts a riot and fights with his tools, or you're the government starting a war using its mindless patriots, the real "tools"

  • @JugglingForCake "Tools" as in Strength, Justice, and Intelligence. Not the government or the guys that go around wearing theatre shirts and advertising the production.

  • @keenanuchiha1 y that's what i mean you can understand it in many ways... case in point, you understood it differently from how i did and both our interpretations are correct

  • We the People did not want war.

He who wants a war doesn't know what it is. He who wants war is destroying a thousand families, bloodying his hands with their tears. He who wants war is no man. He is a beast. Let him lose a father and a brother to a war, see if he thinks it's still worth it.

No, the people did not want war. You aren't human if you do.

  • @peekpok coming from someone who is fighting in this war i can say with confidence that what you're sayin is retarded. i've lost brothers in this war, and i know what they died for. what the fuck have you lost? tell your opinion to someone who lost family in the 9/11 attacks and see if you can be a cocky self-rightous prick to their faces and not get punched out.

  • 21 people prefer to sit down

  • @jamesywelham lol

  • @jamesywelham best comment out of all these others

  • @jamesywelham Or be on their knees eY?

  • @jamesywelham 22

people and that means 22 people are too scared or too lazy to make a difference

  • @jamesywelham Most likely corporate fat cat sympathizers.

  • this crap blows, it's simply trendy music, one more band singin about whats cool these days, bashin the war and makin it sound like they're these great humanitarians and they care so much. we the people did not want war?? speak for yourself, dont claim to speak for me. im not denyin they have talent, but apparently their talent doesnt extend to coming up with original song content.

  • @jkato05 Yes but you are one out of how many? Not saying you are the only one but you understand there are more sides than just the one you are on ya know?

  • @20jman20 i'm one out of a freakin lot lol, and yeah i know there's more sides than just the one im on, but thats the beauty of it, i'm not claiming to speak for anyone else like they are. i'm simply stating my opinion, and my opinion is that they should one, come up with original song content, and two, not claim to speak for the people as a whole...last i checked nobody voted for them to be our voice, especially not me.

  • @jkato05 could you explain how their content isn't original? also, they said "we the people" , can't that just mean them?

  • @crashedwin i dont consider it original simply because they're doing nothing but rephrasing what so many other bands have already said. if someone else already did it, then it's no longer original. but hey, most mainstream hippy wannabe bands are even less original, so kudos to them i suppose. and no, saying we the people implies they're speaking for the american people in general...if they only meant themselves they should've said we the band

  • @jkato05 well, the best part about music is that it is open to interpretation. i interpret that line differently than you. and i dont think this is generic at all. i think compared to love songs and songs about sex and drugs, this is very unique

  • @jkato05 Your right. It's a "Hippy Band" because they say what needs to be said and hopfully they'll keep saying it until the world takes their ignorant heads out of their asses, pulls off their bluetoothes, and realizes that these disputes solve nothing.

  • @yoyyoy35 no, its not a hippy band because they say what needs to be said, thats stupid. its because they do nothing except whine about the government and how they should be out helping people instead of, lets say, wasting their time in the studio producing cliche music? seriously dont understand how people can be entertained by this, its the byproduct of people who are too lazy to formulate their own opinions and instead conform to whatever new "cool" thing comes along. gag.

  • @jkato05 how the hell is it cliché there are no bands out there who do this. they explain that they are only messengers to tell people to do things like protest against things the general public could not decide on e.g: war's.i hope u understand my opinion.

    -Alfie

  • @pacmangrunt I understand your opinion, and i'm not disagreeing with you about them claiming to be messengers, however i do disagree when you say that the general public cant decide on wars, wars are mostly controlled by public opinion now. also, there are a LOT of bands out there that are sayin the same thing and have been doin so for a lot longer than these guys. maybe this music is a bit catchier or appealing, but the message is still nothing more than a mindless repetative process

  • @20jman20 and thank you for not taking massive offense to someone stating an opinion, the internet has given the immature idiots of our time a voice and a way to express it, and it's not very common to find someone on here that can see a comment like that without freaking out

  • @jkato05 i listen to so much different music u cannot say that its 'simply trendy music' i have listened to 'trendy' music and to be honest with u it sounds nothing like this. And they do not whine about what needs to be said they tell u what needs to be done. And original song content? wtf is that, talking bout drugs, money and girls? No i don't think so. so rather than saying 'original song content' give us some examples douche bag. Personally i think u couldn't do better than this.

  • @pacmangrunt douchebag? listen to the pot callin the kettle black, moron. you listen to so much different music blah blah blah...thats your opinion and i could care less. and no, original song content is NOT about drugs money and girls, hence the use of the word ORIGINAL...dumbass. sad thing is you're not even an original dumbass, you just repeating what everyone else says. and notice how i didnt claim to be able to do better than them? like i said, they have talent, i just think its misdirected

  • Got to say, man I don't feel guilty listening to this music at all.

  • We the people did not want war.

  • Carbourdorum te bastardes!

  • stop arguing. Live and love baby

  • This is awesome.

  • life is not more complicated than we imagine, it is more complicated than we can imagine

  • 20 people dont stand up for those kind of people!

  • Fuck the Illuminati live for the real cause! LOVE is the final fight yo!

  • @allen14n No, i know my orientals, japan, is just as bad as korea... who knows what they're planning, why so many nuclear reactors? power? there's plenty of other sources of power

  • @666hatchetwarrior Well, we're Americans, and we have nuclear plants ourselves. I know it's scary to even think about other countries' nuclear reactors, but we really can't judge them or assume anything about these other countries unless we never had nuclear plants. That would be rather hypocritical, don't you think? Japan is known for its technology; some of Japan's technology is even more advanced than ours. They MIGHT be keeping their nuclear technology for the same reasons we do.

  • @allen14n we use out reactors, for SOME power, and mostly nuclear weapons, not as many as we used to have but we're preparing for something, so should japan

  • @666hatchetwarrior I'm sure Japan uses nuclear technology for some power, too. The fact that we have already created nuclear weapons is hypocritical enough, so we shouldn't really be saying horrible things about other countries for doing the same. At the moment, we're discouraging any country's usage of nuclear weapons.

  • @666hatchetwarrior Hey, to hell with that. You better specify which Korea you're talking about. South Koreans are highly respectable; More than what could be said for the North. In fact, we've more tact then many Americans. So just watch what you say. -- And perhaps other sources of power aren't as available in small (and coincidentally Asian) countries. Both Korea and Japan are highly populated. Wind energy for example. Those many miles of wind traps in California only sustain a fraction of --

  • @ZuluSixFour So correct you are right no need to hesitate 2 things to say This song Changed my life made me think about what is actually happening around the world not only in my home or around in my community We Are this Generation Lets Prove To The World that We Can Fix The broken Wounds They Have Created and Show the World Who We Are !

  • @666hatchetwarrior -- the state itself. Also, coal for instance. It's extremely pollutant, not to mention less efficient than Nuclear Reactors. // Next time you decide to talk down about a country, make sure to take the time to do some research. It's common knowledge that America is far less efficient about the recycling process. About 1/7 Americans will take the time to recycle, thus conserving more resources, and energy. (Also common knowledge. America has one of the poorest schooling systems)

  • 20 people didn't see the "like" button

  • "We still don't understand thunder and lightning" hahaha wtf, trying to compete with rebecca black?

  • @eydaimon song came out before rebecca black ^^

  • @eydaimon god ur dumb u dont get the meaning? rebecca blks shit is bout nothing this shit is real

  • @xxIVIooIVIoofarmzxx haha, so you're saying you don't undertand thunder and lightning, and you're calling me dumb?

  • @eydaimon i think you need to calm down and leave. it seems that you are just another person that can't see past his nose to a world where people get along and don't judge. you don't have to like this. it isn't required, but you don't have to start leaving negative comments. what it means is, we don't understand everything, and just because we as a race can explain thunder and lightning doesn't mean everyone can. i mean, most people dont even know what a calorie is.

  • @crashedwin I think you guys are the ones that need to chill, but man, I guess the mention of rebecca will set anyone off, huh? :) She really did manage to get her video hated.

  • "Blow for blow never settles the score

Word for word it's time we clarify

We the people did not want war"

couldn't have said it better myself.

  • 20 people sat down

  • Amazingly amazing

  • Stand up for the hope of the whole world someday opening their eyes to everything that this song mentions.

  • this is the best song i have heard in ages and it gets u in the mood to say i can do this!

  • some peeps dont have hearts sad ='(

  • luygakd ubg ksfl

  • There are 17 people out there who have no hearts.

  • Do you remember....

    1. When you could get on youtube without a huge ad at the top of your homepage?

    2. When EVERY music video was from a user, not Vevo?

    3. When you could use it as a music player without having an ad in the beginning of a music vid?

    4. When copyright infringement wasn't a big deal?

    5. When it was YOUtube?

Copy and paste onto videos telling youtube how PISSED we, the YOU in YOUtube, are with their greedy corporate butts

    thumbs up if you feelsame

  • @TheRandJrecords wich would you rather do? pay 10-15 dollers a week to skip a 10 or 5 secnd add or just go to vevo to woch it for free??

  • go to address bar type win before tube

  • yea totaly agree with littledude

  • Comment removed

  • @xforsakensinx that equation was solved wrong it's Flobots=Eminem F+E= Ozzy or F+E= T.A.P.O T.A.P.O- The anti pop organization Join now... all you have to do is turn off the radio and buy a C.D. Rules: 1. 90% of tweens cannot join 2.anybody who has been damned/infected by justin.b, lady.g, ect, that's ok, buuut, your going to have to be cleansed 3. anybody who refuses to listen to true music will be damned to H.S.P (hell of shitty pop). your after life will be filled with needles..
  • @bobthealpha lol ...c'mon..........really?

  • More People should Notice good bands these days instead of those Pussy cat doll....or all the crapy one that have no moral to it. and just sing...I love flobot they have a meaning to be in the music industerie

  • Wish more rap was like this. Most current rap is all about sex, drugs, and money.

  • @Littledude144 Thank God the rap about "sex, drugs, and money" is starting to fade. Now, the trend is basically to rap about success and how far they've come along. At least that's a little better.

  • @Littledude144 I suggest checking out tom pepe, specifically "the river runs deep" his music may include mentions of drugs/sex etc but it has meaning behind it, the song I mentioned is a life story of 2 ways a person can go one that involves drugs and ruining his life another that involves going to college, it's a brilliant song, I just found the guy last week.

  • @Littledude144 I used to think that, than I discovered a whole new world of rap. If you dig deeper there are rap artists who arent sell-outs. I promise you. You're missing out

  • @Littledude144 Only one I can compare these guys to is Eminem...

  • @Littledude144

    You are so correct.

  • @Littledude144 thatis soooooooooo true!
