@aa3gunner That's because of the way we digest music these days. Back then artists would spend quality years and so much time making 1 album. Now days the second an artitst puts music out it's all over the internet and people can get it for free by dowloading it off the internet, so that puts artists in a bad spot because they are not making half the money they used to and they only spend months making an album in someones' bedroom for a thousand dollars and probably make no profit. Sucks.

@lindyatl I listen to modern music too but never to mainstream music. I prefer works from Staind, Seether, Shinedown, etc. etc. with stuff from old school Green Day and other 90's punk, rock, and grunge. But the rock/ballads of the 70's and 80's are really special.
