Saw these guys 4-5 times in Vancouver Canada when they were still primaily a cover band, they did Zeppelin live better than Jimi and boys - at least tighter and closer to the album.version.
Hey dudes from Kick Axe, drag back George Criston kicking and screaming if you have to. I want to see at least one reunion show with him as ther singer!
Sebastian Bach from Skid Row copied his style/moves from the singer (George Criston) and Black Sabbath back in the 80's when they were looking for a new singer were interested in this guy too, just when Kick Axe was recording the Vices album.
The video does not do the song or band justice. Weak video, Kick Ass song and band. But most videos from the 80's were weak, but the music is greatest!
Of course they rock, they're from Regina, SK. Everyone in regina is required to shred on the guitar, it's like a rule n stuff, ha ha. Great bands like Dirtbred, Into Eternity, and TRIPHOLE are from regina ...
Don't forget Dan Siljer and Jack Semple, yup, we Rock.
Kick Axe was the first concert I ever saw in my life. It was about 1984-1985 and I was 10-11 years old. They played the Orpheum Theatre in Estevan. It was the coolest thing I had ever seen at the time. This brings me back! Thanks for posting.

amazing vocals!!! amazing guitar!!! all around great music!!! he's got some fuckin blazin pipes!!! he can fuck the shit outta them ear pussies and destroy that g spot. all this new music blows dogs for qaurters
While LA. was a hotbed for heavy metal bands....Canada also had numerous metal bands that put a serious dent in the heavy metal scene. Kick Axe was one of them!
I remember that show... somehow somebody was needed to get them in the building so I met them at the door and saw the show from side-stage, that was just after they played in victoria with whitesnake and quiet riot... awesome rock act and super nice guys
They're gonna do some bar dates in January but the thing that sucks is that they have some new singer I never heard of. Wish George Criston would of reunited with them. See you guys in the Peg in January.
It was in the mid-80's when these guys came to my home and ask for some laundry soap and used my kitchen to cook their meal before going out on stage for their show. Great guys and they earned my respect since then!!!
yo scoochie, FYI...I'm having a custom painted KickAxe shirt done up in preparation for they're reunion concert in Mainitoba during the Aug longweekend
Oh by the way, screw you UltMitSinner78. There's just as many guys with bad taste in music as "chicks". Obviously you're still stuck in the 80's. Kick Axe rocked and my favorite band is Judas Priest. Please keep Celine Dion as far away as you can. Can't stand that weepy crap.
1st band I ever saw live! Triple bill with Whitesnake & Quiet Riot. Too funny! Great song, great album, definitely cheesy 80's metal video. Those were the good old days!
I love these guys. I always have, from day one. One thing people can not deny is the strong bass lines. I mean sure they wear cheesy 80's clothes but everyone did. The fact is, Kick Axe was a great band. I still love rocking out to them. "Vices" is one of the most underrated albums of the 80's. Long live KICK AXE!!
Interesting. I didn't know these guys were still around. I used to listen to them practice every night in an old garage in Regina back in the summer of 1976.
WOW I haven't seen this in years. I remember the video being played on Night Flight on the USA Network in the states when I was a kid. I ran out and bought the album the next day. Cheers and "FIRE IT UP!!!"
I think the best recording of Kick Axe was played back on the radio back in the late 80's early 90's on the King Biscuit Flower Hour. I can't remember what concert it was but it sure was good.
What Were Once Vices Are Now Habits! Got 3000 vinyl albums from the eighties but they sound like CRAP when I transfer them to my computer via phonograph and cable :(
Goodbye 1999, Kick Axe, Coney Hatch, Kix, Wabbit and 2996 others. I'm trying to do the same with my cassettes right now, and it is not sounding very good :'(
Goodbye Loudness, Accept, Pat Travers and 1,897 others.
You can make them better if you have a good turntable and then remaster them in software. Garage Band via a MAC or Audacity with Windows. I am sure there are even better ones but you will have to pay$
@erv66 i know where there from i live in Regina and its not a farm town its a city plus i just saw them live on Friday and unrelated but my dads friends with the bassist victor langen's little brother peter langen.
I actually met the guy that made that guitar. Fury Guitars out of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Great guy...fantastic guitars. Never judge a book by it's cheesy 80's cover. That guitar was of superb quality. I saw a blank of its body in his shop in 92. You couldn't ask for better craftsmanship.

If he is tell him thanks for some GREAT music!!! As a kid I had bought this becouse of the name of the band, many years later I still followed them. Welcome to the club was and still is an awesome album, vices is great, but I didn't like when they changed singers, but that's the biz. Rock on!!!!
Kick Axe? Hmm. Someone help me out here. I'm German, but I think I do remember hearing them many moons ago. Did they sing the song, "Welcome to the Club", or something like that? If so, I like that song. Could you upload it? :)
Cool song. I had bought this album back in 85 after seeing this video. Heavy Metal Shuffle was a cool tune also. I agree with madsin69. It was a great time for rock in the 80s.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
This is awful. I didn't come here by choice. Blame my loving sadist boyfriend, who told me this band was good. I'd rather take a wire brush and wipe my ass with it than ever see or hear this monstrosity again! Blech, take it away.
hahah as macho as that sounds it is actually roughly 97% true, in Europe it might differ a tad but as for the Americas, I gotta say... women are so predictable, the ones that do listen to Heavy Metal do so for all the wrong reason, and all mostly outgrow it. It is a damn shame.
Have to agree with you on that one. For women it's more what the music "looks" like. They buy the cd because the singer is cute and wears nice clothe. They couldn't care less what the music sounds like.
no wonder why the taliban hates us...it is because you guys post dumb negative things...normal for 13 year olds but soon you need to grow up...america asked if Iraq wanted america to enforce democracy and iraq says no....america asks why...iraq says because we do not want our women acting like yours....
I have been looking at all of the replies here and I have known two things.....you people are americans by the way you act, and you are possibly 13 years old or less...there is no reason to be stupid
This is a kick ass cd and if you want it i give to u free e-mail me!You cant buy it since it of print!Thats the only reason I'm doing it!Great Kick axe music!Period!Fuck e-bay $100 or more for this gem!I give it to you free!Free! No catch!Reply thats it!
What a great time this was, to grow up in the 80s. When The Music Matched The Party. 39 Now And I can rember some things like it was yesterday. Brought back a flood of great memories and Great times...........

Cool song. I had bought this album back in 85 after seeing this video. Heavy Metal Shuffle was a cool tune also. I agree with madsin69. It was a great time for rock in the 80s.

You're soo freakin' wrong!!! Don't judge all women because of one or two Barbie dolls :P

stop and think about that comment for a second there brainiac , ever wonder what the women of iraq might want , every story has 2 sides
HOPPERFZR 4 years ago
no wonder why the taliban hates us...it is because you guys post dumb negative things...normal for 13 year olds but soon you need to grow up...america asked if Iraq wanted america to enforce democracy and iraq says no....america asks why...iraq says because we do not want our women acting like yours....
