  • Note that even after Gander and Dreyden, which this video covers... the CASB report was *still* not heeded. The same thing happened *yet again*. In New York, IIRC. Or was it Detrroit? Conspiracy theorists are not doing air safety any good by perpetuating the "bomb" fantasy.

  • @sbergman27 The 3rd event was US Air Flight 405 out of LaGuardia. Clearly, no conspiracy theories are needed to explain this crash.

  • There is a distance at which it is impossible abort take-off and stop before the end of the runway. But I've never heard of any automatic system monitoring and aborting take-off if there is a problem before that time. There should be. Of course, it may be that the critical time is too early in the take-off to tell. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't have such a fail-safe. It means that we need longer runways. Few crashes could not have been avoided were proper automation in place.

  • @EdwardRichtofenDr The evidence clearly supports the CASB report. No point in going conspiracy-crazy. Iran-Contra was real. And our then-current Teflon President was guilty as hell. But that doesn't mean we can automatically blame every fiery crash on it. As pointed out in the video, it's rational to go with the forensic science, and not conspiracy-theorist amateurs' personal opinions.

  • @ryan1111111555555555 In hindsight, "high pitched" would have been a preferable term to "cowardly", as it doesn't take a coward to be afraid in an aircraft crash. I suppose the issue is probably the result of the use of stock audio.

    As for you, well, not everyone is capable of constructive input on Youtube. Thank you for being "that guy".

You weren't on the plane, the people who made this have more of an idea than you as too what happened in the cabin, the reason im calling you an idiot is because of this ''All Paratroopers are Gods'' act you have going on, it doesn't matter who you are and what you do, everyone turns into the same person when you can see your death coming at you.

I'm sure there was a lot of screaming and yelling, but I still say that whoever thought it was a good idea to use an audio track containing what is clearly women and children screaming to recreate the scene of the death of a group of paratroops (overwhelmingly men, no doubt) needs to reconsider their decision. Sorry for nitpicking, but I tend to notice these things when I watch movies and other shows.

I was 4 years old at the time, so I wouldn't know how the situation was back then. was the american population supporting the war machine BEFORE this happened or were there any signs of weakening support at the time?

  • @yourpersonalspammer with a username like yours, it's hard to say you're being serious about your comment. personally, i think it was the fact the plane was not de-iced and the other 12000 lb difference. if the weight was corrected, the plane would've needed more speed to lift-off properly and with the ice completely removed would have allowed the plane to ascend without stalling just after lift-off.
