  • all i can say about that car with that motor...is NASTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......insanely sick..and sound gave me a chub!!

  • I respect the engineering to do the swap, i've done similar projects but no where near as major. However as a skyline fan, especially an R34 fan; that R34 has been ruined.

  • ugh I don't usually post on videos but half the people here are idiots.

This car was built for Drift Australia by GT-Autosound for the driver/owner George Spartalis.

The car was bought as a shell(no engine or gearbox). George used an ls motor because they're cheap to replace make alot of noise and produce alot of torque. It's a GT-T non GTR that came from the factory as a RWD with a rb25det single turbo motor. Stop being fanboys.

I drive an r34 and think this car is awesome. Good combination.

  • @c0deone Thanks for the details !

  • jap imports kill piss of shit american muscle all day everyday !!!

  • Why do people put stuff like this down.It is a well built car with only one thing in mind and that is to entertain people.I sure as shit was entertained by it.

  • Disgusting

  • ilove american muscle and really dont respect ricers, but i will say a skyline is no where near a ricer and instantly gets my respect, to be honest one of my 1st cars i fell in love with, GODZILLA with a american pacer maker ;-) lol

  • watch?v=K7B_lYa5fO4 give your opinion please......

  • search on youtube, how many LS1 has been blows, and how many RB's .........

  • For once, I'm impressed I mean I love skylines as is but to throw a V8 in a R34, man that's awesome. I love how the sound and the shape of the car both compliment each other.

  • I normally hate engine swaps... Especially when Nissan engines are swapped for Toyota engines. In this instance though, I feel the complete opposite. Awesome car.... That motor and chassis combo would make for one tough R34.

  • So many haters, coming from the fab world i love gate crashers and this car is fucking nasty. No matter how you look at it this car is mean have an open minded quit living life like conservative bitches.

  • thats gay

  • So its a Jap import with an american engine and a ferarri looking badge on the side.. what were you thinking!

  • this is not skyline this is crap!... PGC and KPGC10... this is skyline ;) this is the nissan proud!

  • Some people just don't understand that eight cylinders are better.

  • @bagdsalmon no

  • @thenikoxgtr yes.

  • swapping a RB26 is blasphemy

  • if the RX-7 doesnt have the RX-7 engine than its not a RX-7, if the Skyline doesnt have the Skyline engine in it than its not a Skyline LOL

  • @rcboi96 <----- riceboy getting hurt by the fact that the skyline noww has a better motor, and its not a japaneese rb26dett motor :D

  • @e320e98u but u know im right man, if the car doesnt have its real engine than its not what the car is called anymore bc it doesnt have the real engine.

  • @rcboi96 yeah it might not be called a skyline anymore, because it does not feature the rb26dett. but there is no doubt that this ls1 twinturbo skyline is faster, then an original skyline. at the end of the race the turbo ls1 skyline is going to win, it might not have the pride of being "all original" but it is faster, and thats what matters. i know whats bothering u, is that ls1 is american made, what u gota know is ls1 is an impressive engine, its not some chevy cavalier piece of shit engine

  • @e320e98u and how am i a riceboy if im white?

  • @rcboi96 lol your user name: "rcboi" = riceboy its pretty obvious haha just by lookin at your username

  • @e320e98u could be "rc" = remote control .. coz thats all he can afford

  • @nicky8866 lol :D thats funny, maybe your right, maybe his car radio controlled lol. i mean what else can "rc" stand for lol

  • lets hope that was only a gtst.

  • the BR26 is the rules

  • @dieguiinha388 rb......26 not br

  • @randomreptar21 As it was understood what I tried to say ;)

  • insane turbo-sound!!!

  • still like the skyline engine/RB26 much much, soundwise and powerwise.

  • Very good video:)

  • who cares what you're into, its a tough import with a tough twin turbo LS1.....any car with an engine swap is awesome and deserves respect....

  • i would hate to be driving the vl next to that i would feel so ashamed go the vl's

  • He probably could'nt handle an RB!!!

  • I like what the car does, not to sure I like the mating of car and powerplant

Yeah I get its probibly mating a beast of an engine to a beast of a chassis. But its like a v8 in a RX7 or a rotary in a Porche.. Its just not right

Why not keep the original powerplants and make the best car you can from there, Arguably swapping powerplants could get you an infinatley better overall car but isnt it like taking out it's heart and soul. And tbh kina cheating? Isnt the idea 2 get the best with wat u have

  • piece of shit

  • thats fuckin hectic

  • I see a lot of imports with LSx swaps but I rarely see domestics with import engines. Coincidence? I THINK NOT

  • hmmmm a ricer with a muscle motor i need to get one of these hahah!

  • @gokartin1 a skyline is not a ricer, its godzilla.

  • nice skidline :) thats coming from a jap engine fan too

  • that skyline eats tyres for breakfest!!

  • best car ever built it can do everything

  • Toughest sounding v8 with the gayest pissy little bov. Horse shit.

  • "It sounds like a real car". What kind of statement is that?, It sounds like the noise the comes from every mans car with a small dick complex

  • there maybe 1000 reasons to "do this" but there is 1 reason not to do it that trumps all the "positives". It's wrong, You wouldn't turn up to a 911 remembrance day dressed as Osama, you wouldn't fuck a monkey. Why do this?

  • @macm2651 because now it sounds like a real car and its still turbo...

  • @macm2651 Only thing wrong I see if a fanatic dictating what someone else should their own car.

  • It will be so fun being in that car

  • I have respect for any sort of motor, but it just doesn't seem right to have a V8 in a Skyline.

  • I dont really think a twin turbo ls1 has enough power to drift.... lol

  • Comment removed

  • @Hellz420

being a dick over a joke? lol.

    get a life bro

  • @jp20det "get a life bro" - coming from a kid watching videos of cars he can't afford. this is the internet bud. sarcasm isn't obvious because most of the dumbasses on here are usually serious.

  • @Hellz420

uhhh, I think it's pretty easy to tell "I dont think a tt ls1 has enough power" is sarcasm. js

  • fuck yeah now thats some grunt!!!

  • why is everyone assuming it was an rb26? it might of not been a gtr

  • ur gay for taking the rb out homo

  • Its his car, he'll put wtv engine he wants

  • if the RB26 sounds like a monster screaming the LS1 sounds like a monster burping

  • Great Video! But Can you drift on a bike like us??? :o

  • i thought i'd seen everything til i saw this

  • what a waste shitty American engine in a superior japanese car what has the world come to......

  • @schoolboy171 you're just a schoolboy. learn more about it before you open your stupid mouth again

  • hahah wow i was there that day

  • drifting is fucking stressful on your motor, so why not go a different route where your getting the same result, but with less work on the motor

  • wow, i cant stomach these comments arguing about which motors are better and what not..i can speak on both sides simply bc i have owned, and driven ls1s and rbs. both are EXCELLENT motors. i dont understand why people say v8s dont belong in skylines, and vice versa. ls1s rb26s 2jzs are all fucking killer motors..but what you have to look at is the situation they are in that car for. Ls1s for drifting is acceptable since,

  • Sikk phucking whipp

  • drifting...... this looks like powersliding to me

  • @SkylineR33driver If it were powersliding you would not hear that much power, and or the blow off valve.

  • i LOVEEEE the sound of the turbo just shutin off <3

  • the look on his face when hes revving it "yeah..you want this.."

  • depending on what lsx engine it is, it could be all aluminum. and probably dam near as light as most six cylinder engines. lsx engines are one of the best engines of all time

  • Holy sh*# that thing goes hard, it was a love child waiting to happan :D

  • he shoulda kept the RB!!

R.I.P perfectly good rb26 you could have gone to good use in my s14

  • @micahgtr i agree

  • @micahgtr The S chassis cars are very light and nimble, why would you put an heavy cast iron motor in it that throws off the cars weight balance? Most guys that chose to do this swap realize way to late that the cars sucks with that motor swap and they're now broke looking to ditch it...

  • @SpikeRazzor your an idiot... LS engines that are used in swaps like this are aluminum... and weight less than an RB...

  • @SuperTexas915 The only idiot I see is you, try actually reading the message left by the guy I just quoted. Hes talking about putting an RB26 (a cast iron L6) into his S14 (S Chassis).

  • @SpikeRazzor ls engines are all alloy chief

  • @geta8pac If you can dig up and old comment I made I'm sure you can dig up who I was responding to.

Long story short, I was talking about the RB26 FYI.

  • @SpikeRazzor didnt see ur comment sorry bud

  • ls1 is lighter, more powerfull, more reliable, and sounds so much better than rb26 ,

  • @dublyooteeeff sounds better ? not really

  • @RicoNene1 yes really

  • @dublyooteeeff reliable? i dont think that word applys to any american muscle engine

  • @johnson556 obviously you know nothing about cars, and i was talking about mostly chevys and some fords , but i will say that mopar has never made a descent engine

  • @dublyooteeeff are you serious mopar has never made a descent engine??? ever heard of the 426 hemi greatest engine made to this day

  • @BIHxJDMxSUPRA lol if you think that was a good engine in any way shape or form your having a laugh

  • @dublyooteeeff you must not know anything about engines then keep dreaming

  • @BIHxJDMxSUPRA lol bravo , what a comeback

  • @dublyooteeeff alright just because u said the 426 hemi is not a good engine i wont even reply your just stupid

  • @BIHxJDMxSUPRA you just did

  • @johnson556 I guess you never owned one so then the only thing you would know about a american v8 is what you read. i own and have owned 18 different sbc's and i have not been able to blow one up yet and my ls1 camaros to this day never gave me a problem and the one i have now is 13 years old and over 100k on it and it runs great.

  • @pnitro4 fuck off you fucking yank this car is in australia

  • @355vk1 who gives a shit where the car is

  • YA DUDE

  • @pnitro4 lulz , prooof it retard, nigga you stupid as fuck.

  • @pnitro4 its at gazzanationals burnout comp in australia

  • Comment removed

  • you want a muscle car go buy a fucking corvette but don't ruin a skyline with this shitty engine .... r26 is where its at

  • oh i'm such a big kid. XD

  • Why da fuck would someone put a v8 in a skyline ??????????

  • @RicoNene1 because it produces more power with less work....

  • @RicoNene1 its diffrent from the rest........

  • why take out the RB26 To put a ls1 ? !

  • @KeidNaytee

LS1 is lighter, power hits at lower RPM, and it's not a discontinued engine that costs over $20k out of crate.

  • @waset8654 i wonder what he did with rb26

  • @KeidNaytee scrap metal

  • @KeidNaytee He blew it, then got an LS1

  • @KeidNaytee probably went in a Miata

  • @KeidNaytee It probably blew up. They do that pretty often.

  • @KeidNaytee its a gt it used to have a neo 2.5ltr...only gtrs had the 2.6

  • @OHNGAI they came in the stageas too man

  • @geta8pac yep thats right!

  • @KeidNaytee You do know that there are r34 gtst's which are rb25t!!!!!?????????????

  • @larrysmiz Yup Definitly

  • @KeidNaytee I dont think it was a GTR model that had the Swap done. Probably just a M-Spec GTST

  • @KeidNaytee Well it probably never came with one so nothing I'd say

  • \@waset8654 lol if your paying $20 k for that motor your fuckin higher than a kite! i pick up thoes motors for no more than 5 or 6 k..then again i live in Florida

  • @tsardinas $20k is, as I said above, for a brand-spanking new RB26 with zero miles straight from Japan. I am not high.

  • @waset8654 you mean ones that dont pass emissions and will never be allowed on the road in america...

for 20 grand you can get a 700+ hp ls engine...:S

personally i have NEVER seen anyone lately selling a NEW rb26,of any kind... the simply do not make them any more...

  • @waset8654 i would accept a nissan v8 but a ls1 is just wrong i gess he did it because ls1s are cheep where hes from and a 20k rb create engine wold get u a fucking beast brand new not discontinued ripsltd.com long live the rb30det!

  • @waset8654 actually the RB26 is still available and not near $20k unless you buy it from an outrageously expensive japanese tuning company like Tomei but its still hard to beat the cost of an LS series dollar for dollar and I'd agree that the power ban of the LS has gotta be better for drag or drifting.

The advantage I could see from an RB would be where response is key both on and off the throttle.

  • @sidewayznut2009

Well yeah, it's still available and you could find a used one over the internet, but the RB26 itself has been discontinued. As in Nissan doesn't make them anymore. I'm not saying you won't find one, I'm saying that a mint 26 with 0 miles on it is going to ass rape your wallet. Whereas a crate LS1 is a fraction of the price.

  • @waset8654 NO i mean its NOT DISCONTINUED they still make them you can still buy a brand new engine through Nismo of Japan

And Tomei is a aftermarket tunning company they will sell you a beefy tuned version for 19,000 usd but thats not a rebuilt motor its brand spankin new

I've never seen the complete motor that just has the price but N1 block runs around $2500 and a head $1500 crank $1000 last time I checked so they definatly aren't Chevy lol

  • @sidewayznut2009

Yeah and aftermarket companies still make crate 427's but it's not like Ford still manufactures them in their free time because the 427 is dicontinued, as is the RB26. My point is an engine is discontinued when the actual manufacturer, i.e. Nissan, stops mass producing them in cars. As you said Nismo and Tomei and I'm sure several other import companies still make RB26 parts. But overall the LS1 is better and cheaper in my opinion so it doesn't really matter.

  • @waset8654 Nismo is Nissan... its the motorsports division of Nissan Tomei doesn't make the motor blocks and heads Nissan does Tomei just makes the guts.

Anyways I agree the LS1 is cheaper and better for drag racing and drifting all day long all I'm saying is that Nissan still produces the RB26 even if its in relatively small numbers compared to the LS its not an aftermarket motor.

  • @waset8654 20k? Mate fly over to NZ, buy one for 4k at most with low ks, ship it and you aint near that 20k.

  • @bboy310

Thats not my point. I'm not saying anyone would actually pay for it! I'm saying thats how much they cost in that condition! And besides getting an LS1 is still cheaper than flying my ass out to NZ to buy an RB some crazy aussie beat to shit in his R31. No offense.

  • @waset8654 over here in perth ls7 is 14k out of crate you can buy ls1's stock for just over 1300

  • why put a different engine in? the rb engines are good arent they?

  • @mydogzty yeah they are very good but ls1 is lighter than the stock rb and have more torque at lower rpms

  • @Pho6oZ Yeah but the RB's are much lighter. Idk, take the good with the bad I guess. In any other car I would agree with the V8 swap but idk about this.

  • @Pho6oZ i guess thats a bit of a advantage

  • @mydogzty yep but in the end depends on how deep the wallet can go, the good thing about bigger engines is that you get more torque with less rpms, but to get to that level you need more cash and so on

  • @Pho6oZ so lets say i bought a r33 gtr skyline for $8,000 aus dollars, and spent 7 thousand that included turbo upgrades and some tyres and suspesion. But you say that it would be better if we bought a V8 engine for "x" amount, and would it be cheaper? plus the other parts i mentioned and maybe minus the turbo if you wanna go supercharger

  • @mydogzty no no no, i didnt say taht, the rb engines are awesome, so are the ls1 engines, in what you spend the money depends on what you want, thats all, what i was saying its that the ls1 swap its more expensive than tunning up the engine you already have, besides, the tunning you do depends on what you want the car for...

  • ok i love it! but nothing beats the 6 in line in my opinion, the best sounding engine with verry good power! but thats my opinion...

  • Future Perth Powerskid champ???..

  • 1:07 Ahahahaha lol

  • gay

  • Look 6 cyl are great for street racing, and properly built I'm sure they can beat any stock v8, but with an infinite amount of money the v8 is the better way to go, but it all depends on how you tune it. Yes an LS1 in a skyline is blasphemy but good God look at all that smoke and that sound. Fact is the fastest drag cars are always V8's even the top alcohol dragsters, max speed the veyron with a w16 and second the ssc with a V8, want the best of both worlds, Get a VH or 1UZ Jap V8 or a Veyron

  • It's a V8 skyline drifting, quit your fucking bitching because it's capable of doing what the rb can and better even it seems. Your an ignorant fan boy if you don't think this is awesome.

  • @sunnymuffins13208 i could fucking Careless. the fact is im Sick of V8 Ignorance! im all for Classic Muscle Cars. But The GTR Skyline is a Work of art the Japanese engineers worked to complete in accordance to The Gentlemen's Agreement to keep the power under 300 to the wheels. And it was Built with the Atessa AWD system for a Reason! I cant stand the fact that every car someone has say oh you should Put a V8 into it would be Better! some works of art are Better Left UNTOUCHED By V8s!

  • @darkblaze176 It's all a matter of experimentation, sometimes you want to say. Maybe I can put a rediculous V8 in here and make it work. Not to mention that car was built for racing not a show car. There is plenty of things people do to make a car unoriginal in racing from monster super chargers, to wide body's to anti-lag. Some cars yes should keep the engine they were given but some times it's fun to break the rules.

  • thats a interesting set up especially when there is spose to be a RB between them struts!!

  • Clean up on Isle 1 Clean us on Isle 1 (customer dropped a load in his pants)

  • I can do that same thing with honda civic XD (stock) oh my bad a little riced out would help my rep:)

  • 0:32- 0:35 that sounds so much like a supercharger :D

  • @W4TCH4W thats the turbo chirp sound. superchargers whine.

  • Holy fuck that was a nutz car

  • My dream car with my fucking dream swap!!!! TTLS1 FTMFW all day long....SICK

  • psh v8s what a joke.

  • @videosps yes you´re right ...American cars have only a big engine but no potential for drifting...okay, american V8 have highest torque at lower RPM ...but ....Skyline+RB26dett = japan car from heaven

Skyline with shitty V8= it´s no longer skyline but piece of shit !!!no CAR!!

  • @69kiyo69 Why? The V8 which comes with alot more horsepower and torque stock yet still weighs less than the RB26. It doesn't disrupt the weight balance, power is readily available across the powerband at all RPM because its naturally aspirated instead of waiting til 3900 rpm to use full boost like the RB26DETT. Just admit you dont know shit. Vaughn Gitten Jr won the D1GP 5x in a mustang. Keiichi Tsuchiya among other Japanese legends said they would get em if Ford sold it in Japan.

  • @69kiyo69 you're ignorant - that's all i will say.

  • @69kiyo69 You must have a reason for saying that a V8 engine is shit. What is that reason? Explain.

  • that is pretty intense

  • VROOM tsss VROOOM tsss VROOOOOOOOMMMM tsss VROOM tsss VROOOOOM

  • people use the LS and LX series engines Because they are CHEAP and Easy to build. the RB25 RB26 5M 7M 1JZ and 2JZ engines are far more difficult to build and take more Patience and money. The nissan and toyota L6 series engines are Torque monsters you will get far more power and torque from the RB, 7m,1JZ and 2JZ then a 427. anyone Can build a Fast powerful V8 but it takes a Skilled tech to build a 1100awhp RB 7M 1JZ, and 2JZ. in other words the v8 in the skyline is a HICK engine!

  • @darkblaze176 It came from GM right? So ya it is a hick engine lol.

  • @darkblaze176 It's pretty evident you've never built a motor if you think an rb or 2jz can make substantially more power then a 427 v8. 4 times the cost for a jap 6, no one around for miles that knows how to work on it. HUGE turbo lag with an awful powerband. I've seen 2200 hp 427 chevy twin turbo's that drive like a pussycat around town. Funny kids see a few thousand hp supras and think they're going to have one for themself. None the less the guy has 55 grand into the motor itself.

  • @honda12345678 For your Info i HAVE built 305's 350's 302's 327's B18's B16's B20's 12a's 13B's 7m's and 1 RB26. the reason that you pay more for a rb or 2JZ is because they are IMPORTED! the Turbo lag depends on How Large of a Turbo you have and whether or not you have a Anti-lag or 2step. Like i said the V8 is a Cheap and EASY engine to build the RB, 7M, 1J, 2J take more tech knowledge.

  • @honda12345678 i seriously doubt that there are 2200hp 427's rolling around town like nothing. i wouldnt doubt they are just going to a Show not as a DD . and they would be running on Methanol which is Illegal to run on City streets!

  • @honda12345678 and if you think that you need High Horsepower to to have a Fast car look up the Mines Skyline it has the stock bore and stroke has around 5-600hp and has a Power band that will RAPE a ZR1 Vette sideways. it has a acceleration that are of GT Class cars. if you build a RB right it will Rape a 427 Period!

  • @darkblaze176 Except the 427 makes that power stock.

  • @Brimmy11 the reason a the 427 has More Power stock is Because the Japanese have whats Called the Gentlemen's Agreement! look it up. if they didnt have that then im sure the RB26 would have way More power then 276 Awhp

  • @darkblaze176 I'm well aware of the what the gentlemen's agreement was. I was just pointing out that you said "the mines skyline has 500-600hp" which i what you get stock out of a 427. I can't be bothered arguing I'm getting a VL with a rb26 because I like them, but ultimately a v8 (especially the ls# range) will always make more power.

  • @Brimmy11 Could you imagine what The Japanese could Put out if they Didnt Have the Gentlemen's agreement? Hell if Honda Got its Head out of its ass and Made a V8 it would put the 427 to Shame!

  • @darkblaze176 Gentlemen's agreement hasn't been around for a while now.

And please don't respond to this I cannot be bothered arguing with you, you're ignorant as all fuck.

Nissan made a v8 and it's a piece of shit, the same with toyota.

  • you make ok points, but nissan v8's do not suck
