  • His tone is shit....and is voicings on the chords are not clean at all...stop sliding the whole time....fret buzz on like every note. This dude sucks

  • i think this one is boring

  • Omg! Is that a teacher? No groove and no emotion... Guitar Pro would sound better!

  • Nice bass phrases but really boring, this bass-players not getting into it at all.

  • typical shite fender tone

  • Nice tone.

  • you sound great .. beautiful feel and good phrasing for this blues progression .. nice use of double stops harmonics etc. great job

  • He plays bass like a guitarist.

  • the previous comment is in no way directed to the player

  • why don't you noobs turn on the jazz station and LISTEN TO THE BASS!!! CHRIST

  • Jeez, this cat grooves like a robot

and by that I mean no emotion.

I really don't like the tone, honestly.

His slides really turn me off to the sound.

Not that I don't enjoy sliding, just on this bass

    it sounds terrible to me.

I dunno, maybe it's just me.

But I give it a thumbs down.

Got skill, but no "groooooove." You know?

  • @Prof3ssrBrando hahahaa you just literally ripped him a new one... but it's true.. i felt nooo groove

  • crap...no groove..nothing..he sucks

  • yeah, no groove at all.

  • sweet!

  • that's not a Jazz Bass

  • stupid coment, he wrote jazz acording to the music hes jaming on, that has nothing to do with the bass model.

  • lolol

  • incredible playing

    a guitarist.

  • you suck.

he is a bassist, with heart and soul.

just because someone is good it doen't mean that he can't be a bassist, you ignorant fag.

  • Sorry the bad english CptChaos88.

INCREDIBLE PLAYING, a guitarist. I would mean that i love his playing, even if i am a guitar player

  • ah ok sorry, then I didn't mean to insult you ;-)

a lot of guys think this way (like: there are no good bassists or: bassists may not be good or do solos), that's why I got a little angry, but I just misunderstood you

sorry you have the 'right' and good attitude

  • Sorry ME, i'm italian and my bad english cause me many problems on the tube :D

  • wow your a cocky bitch who thinks they know shit.

    shut the fuck up.

i'm just kidding, lighten up so you don't sound like that^.

  • sorry but can you explain what you meant ;-) ?

  • Awesome man but tabs pls!!!

  • its just a jam session, dunt think he has tabs =)

  • sounds like a double bass... awesome!

  • Yeah, this bass sound just wasn't that pleasing. Just something about it... Maybe I'm just not in the mood for a muddy PBAss.

  • i don't like this bass

  • pbass

  • i wanna learn how to play like you your awesome! Give me some tips.

  • that's a precision! idiot

  • jacksonthewart,

It's a P-Bass, with a Jazz-Style Plate close to the bridge, where there it is -NOT- covering a Jazz Input, because there is no such thing on a P-Bass model. Also, you contradicted yourself, by saying it has P-Pickups; if it has P-Pickups, its a Precision Bass.

*Note that the Pick Guard does not match that of the shape and style of the Fender Jazz Bass model, but of a P-Bass model, because, once again, it's -NOT- a Jazz Bass.

  • Yea it is a P Bass. Though there are models of P Bass with another Jazz Pickup.

  • Sounded good, and I love the growl of that Fender. Very nice!

  • LOL its not a Jazz Bass also to jam you need other musicians otherwise its just you needling on the Bass.

Nice rif but you shouldnt of smoked that joint before you started playing, its like your gonna fall asleep in a moment LOL

  • You gotta have that Jazz face while Jammin'

  • I think thats a precission bass...

  • both of his solos on here sound way too similar, just not a lot of feeling in this, almost boring to watch after awhile.

  • To all of the idiots who have expressed criticism; you have embarrassed the human race.

  • you people just don't understand..the title of the video is Jazz bass jam...it doesn't refear to the kind of bass guitar he is playing..but the style that he is playing and that's jazz..

  • that's a precision bass...no jazz!

  • Nah that's a Fender Jazz Bass.

  • fuck your mind! that's a precision! shit

  • if you didn't see anything wrong with the technique, from now on you should FEEL it. Jazz plays with feeling.

  • I didn't see anything wrong with his technique, I just didn't like it. Maybe it's just not my style but I didn't like his melodies, too much blues in there as well.

  • its not on the technique if you play instruments.

  • he is just not very talented and he is a bit lucky to be there because there is a lot more talented bass player that don't have his chance (sorry for the spelling im french canadian)

  • i love this dudes playing, we got too many people criticizing and wanting high end stuff all the time from bass players. its ridiculous, they forget how nice it is to be melodic using the low-end only without any tappin, slappin, and high c strings! kudos to this dude for laying it down!

and damn i love the pbass with flatwounds! groovin!

  • your left hand and right hand are definetly not simular in the fast parts. that's why it sounds 'sloppy'

and now i will have a lot of angry comments of people who don't listen purley objectiv

  • yeah... show ur video where u can show what "your left hand and right hand are definetly not simular in the fast parts. that's why it sounds 'sloppy'" means, so thati can learn more from YOU... thanks a lot -

  • This guy´s good. If you listening to other good jazz players search for Roberto Aymes (he´s a jazz bass virtuoso). He´s played and/or recorded with Chick Corea, Michel Camilo, Dizzy Gillespie, Danilo Pérez, Chet Baker, Carla White, etc.

  • that p bass sounds great with flatwounds.

  • joe pass on bass heheh...... nice playing....

  • joe pass?

  • Imagine the sound of those flat strings on a fretless bass!!!!

  • this guy is not very goog.

  • At least he can probably spell the word "good"

Awesome video, I love that smooth tone.

  • You're not very 'goog' at spelling.

  • then "goog" this you googer

  • Great sound! Man, that glissando on 00:07 send chills down my spine!

  • What Fender bass are you using? is it a Jazz or a P-bass? It sounds great! I know those are some quality flat wounds? La Bellas?? What amp are you using? Great sound! I use to play. I had a Fender P-Elite which I sold but I've still got my first ax a 67 hofner.

  • Bravo! smooth, finesse, melodic, nuance... love the accentuation of the bass chords.

  • i love the tone of those flats...i wont play with anything else

  • Sounds like Geezer Butler's tone

  • And looks like the doctor from Voyager

  • i love the smile at the end

  • explain

  • you are very groovy Jazz's Professional Bassist

    -Grand champion international

  • get new strings.

  • He's using flats

  • liquid smooth... old school... nice break from all that slappin and poppin without any musical lines ...
