  • Great video Paul. I read The Fourth Period article, well said and a very good read!

  • @naswy he put me in there because of the comments i put on his other tribute to the nicest team in the NHL.

  • @Thewinnipegboy In addition to my other comment to you, I would like to add that you have wisdom, compassion and maturity beyond your age. Don't change!!!

  • @naswy awwww your super nice and dont worry i will not change.

  • Giving an NHL team to Atlanta is like giving a ferrari to a 13 year old..... they don't understand what they have, how to use it, and no real sense of appreciation.

Something is very wrong when you have to give free parking, hotdogs out the ying-yang, free beer, and a deep discount on future ticket sales to sell a single ticket......

Better stick with tractor pulls and pig races in Atlanta.....what a waste of time to have a team in Atlanta

  • @good2goskee hey they are all really sad over there and your posting like this? HAVE A HEART. this is like a death to there family and all you do is comment like this. some people just cant see whats happening.

  • @Thewinnipegboy honestly...they don't get it. I am a Nucks fan and truly felt terrible for the Jets when they left Winni. You guys were victims of a bad exchange and other things out of your control, but your hearts, desire, and interest were there. In Atlanta, it is not....shame on them!

  • @good2goskee k you know what just shut up about atlanta already you guys fricken lost to boston like come on. i wouldnt be talking, i fricken care about how these people feel about there team moving, SHAME ON THE CANUCKS!!!!!!!

  • @Thewinnipegboy and about the jets leaving.

  • @Thewinnipegboy better to not say bad things...you are right- sorry.

  • @good2goskee you know what its alright but please just dont be mean to these people they are coming off a HUGE loss. they will need time to recover and probably wont, but untill that day that the thrashers are back i will support these people and stick up for them when they need it. if you want to help me please to it would be very nice of you. a jet and a canuck coming together to help out the thrashers.

  • @Thewinnipegboy "that the thrashers are back " I doubt that will happen in our life times. This is their second kick at the cat and 2nd failure. The result is the Flames and the Jets.

  • @good2goskee not to make them come back to give them hope and to support them in this tough time, how would you feel if the canucks left to somewhere else? just support them and try make them feel better. please? im like against everybody on youtube.

  • I was interviewed by Daniel Squizzato from The Fourth Period magazine for my reaction to the Atlanta Thrashers leaving. It was just published yesterday and can be found in the Winter 2011-12 issue. He found me because you the fans have made this video something special. A final tribute to our boys. May we never forget. Thanks for all your Views, Likes, and Comments.

  • i'm not from atlanta, but there was a time i was a fan of them because their logo was so cool. It was the same with the Toronto Blue Jays.

  • RIP

  • The thing that some people still don't understand is that the ownership was a bad to begin with , they only bought the Thrashers because they were a part the package with the Hawks and Phillips Arena when they the whole package . These guys don't have any kind of hockey knowledge and had planned to see the team much earlier not had it been for the lockout and a law suit that was filed against a former member of the group . This whole blame should be placed on the owners period .

  • FAGGOT ASS TEAM

  • Good riddance

  • The Trashers are now history I feel sorry that you lost your team but I congratulating the city of Winnipeg of getting there team back.

  • @gretmonsta there is no way atlanta is 2nd in north america! Have you heard of this little town called TORONTO?

  • WINNAPEG!

  • @nutterbutter658 You misspelled Winnipeg.

  • @ominus011 WINNAPEG!

  • i do feel kinda bad for their fan

  • Never Forget!!!!!! EXPOS MONTREAL TOO

  • Even though I'm a Carolina Hurricanes fan, but I must admit that I do miss the Thrashers. Yes, you all had your struggles and all, but you were pretty competitive. However, I do wish Winnepeg well with the Jets.

  • Love the Canadians who say there weren't enough fans & that's why we lost the team. You are clueless! Watch the video again. Listen to the crowd when we won the game that clinched our first ever playoff birth; you cab barely hear the goal horn. This was before Atlanta spirit ran the fans away. We lost our team because of the worst owners in sports history; not because we couldn't support a team.

  • I am and will always be, a Thasher fan. I was a fan of the Blackhawks until we got the Thrashers, and I will always be a Thrashers fan. But I will not say, rest in peace. I hope your ghost haunts the NHL for the next fifty years, until the wrong is set right. I hope Gary Bettman goes to bed at night fearing another Thrasher nightmare. And I hope the Atlanta Spirit need something from a true, decent hockey fan one day, So we can live up to what matters: Never forgive Blueland. Never forget.

  • Honestly, I'm happy Winnipeg got a team. But it should of been the Coyotes moving, not the Thrashers.

  • funny how when they where still around no one gave a shit about them but now that there gone everybody is epseat

well good bye thrashers HELLO JETS

    GO JETS GO

  • @hanmerboys just like with the old jets huh? Stop being a hypocrite.

  • @haelsoprofeten pepole cared about the jets

they had near full atendence every game

    we cared about our Jets

unlike Atlanta that had god awful atendence

  • @hanmerboys The Winnipeg Arena had a capacity of aprox 15,5k and during their last 7 year of existance they never averaged more than 13500 and during their last season the average was 11316. How is that for great attendance? And near full? Give me a break. Meanwhile the Thrashers never had anything less than 13368 as average. They did not fill their arena by any means but they averaged more every year in their existance except for one year than the Jets did during that 7 year span. Hypocrite.

  • @haelsoprofeten buddy you just made those numbers up, winnipeg has always been near-sellouts. the problem was that the city owned the franchise rather then a company.

  • @Camerizzle6 Why would I make those numbers up? I loved the original Jets but they clearly had issues. Or should I say the canadian economy at the time.

  • @haelsoprofeten

jets are sold out 5 years guananteed.the old jets in winnipeg didnt survive not just because of attendence but because of the poor canadian dollar at the time, which was only about 65 cents US.(now the can $ is par) Atlanta may have had over 13000 fans but how much of those fans paid full nhl ticket price? try getting a nose bleed seat in winnipeg, you will have to pay over 100$.whereas in phoenix, you can get a ticket for almost free. this is why attnd figures are useless.

  • @haelsoprofeten ATLANTA IS IN OUR CITY NOW THEY ARE THE JETS GET OVER IT YOU FUCKING PANSY

  • there are a lot of us who loved this team with all our hearts...with everything we had in us...your cruel words will do nothing but anger the hockey Gods. Atlanta has the 2nd largest amateur hockey programs in all of North America next to Boston...you guys are the ones who don't get that passion for this sport is possible with the right care and love...I hope the Jets' owners love and build their team. The heartache I have felt I wish on no other hockey anywhere...ever. Good Luck Jets!

  • I liked their jerseys, that's it. Atlanta has failed twice so the NHL better stop giving these southern cities teams.

  • You all that live in Atlanta don't bitch and cry you never went to the games! Its your fault Atlanta fans so deal with it!

  • Feels like a big empty spot with the Thrashers being gone. I'll do my best to fill the void through the Gwinnett Gladiators and maybe a trip or two to Nashville.

  • i may not be from atlanta but that was very selfish what they did to all of you thrasher fans

  • @redwings8500 thanks bro

  • @redwings8500 what fans?

    they hardly had any

the only reson they had anybody in the building is becouse tey started oing allright

but in winnipeg they will fill the fucking place winning seson or loosing seson

  • FUCK THE THRASHER GO JETS GO U GUYS HAVE 4 MILLION PEOPLE IN UR CITY AND U GUYS CANT FILL UR ARENA THE JETS ARE SOLD OUT FOR 5 YEARS ALREADY!!!!

  • @TheCanucksFan91 If they took your teams away there would be nothing left to do in your city...be nice y'all

  • @TheCanucksFan91 no actually three, GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT. the only reason why that was is because there was a baceball game on and alot of people were watching that.

  • takako uehara!

    anpanman!

  • im glad winnipeg is getting a team, and im from edmonton, but i feel bad for the the thrashers. they deserved to keep their team.

  • hawks cant pay for phillips by themselves- so theyll be movin to seattle soon

  • Atlanta Sure does Love Birds.. NBA Team Name Hawks NFL Name Falcons .. And this lol...

  • bettman sucks. he wants to keep hockey in the north

  • @LaxpulseLIVE thats a good thing

    the south don't suport hockey

    so they don't deserve hockey

we will keep the best sport int he world up norht thank you very much where it will be a apreatiated

next on the list move pheonix to Quebec city

  • @hanmerboys You are insulting Thrashers fans. I love hockey and agree that it's the best sport in the world, and I'm southern. Football sucks. Stop insulting the THRASHERS!

  • @TheZeldalink09 you may support hockey and good to the southoners who do suport it but the majority does not

there was not enoght hockey fans over there to suport a team youve had two and lost both

  • @TheZeldalink09 There is no Thrashers anymore you loser get over it.

  • They shouldve kept Atlanta and Added Winnipeg and Quebec!!! Problem is how would they get new players?

  • they could have been a good team if they hadn't traded away their good players.

  • GO JETS GO

  • It would have worked in Atlanta, but ASG proved to be one of the worst, most dysfunctional ownership groups that I've ever heard of. Feel bad for a lot of Atlanta fans at the same time as feeling joy about the return of the NHL here to Winnipeg.

  • @IPBBPI08 the only reason to give atlanta a third team is so we can move it to canada

  • GO JETS GO!

  • Atlanta should get another team!! Then we can move it to quebec city!!

  • @TMNTPIZZA Agree with the first part disagree with the second

  • @TMNTPIZZA lol arent you funny

  • @TMNTPIZZA seriously? why dont you take the jets we dont deserve this great team that has developed greatly over the years, take them and never give it back.

  • who are the 2 idiots that hit dislike

  • thumbs up if u think they should have stayed

  • i will never forget you Thrashers! <3

  • why would you want hockey there thats redneck country there is no snow there last time there was was in the early 2000s NHL is stupid for putting teams in the south

  • @fishingguru76

why would canadians want a baseball team in canada where it snows all the time and that is french faggot-snowmobile lumberjack country. I dont personally like baseball, and never gave a damn about atlanta, but you are an asshole. Im from New Mexico and i love hockey

  • @fishingguru76 I love hockey. I'm from the South and I am no redneck. Yes it does snow here, and I was a huge Thrashers fan! why is everyone being so critical?

  • who give a damn shyt for that team anyway since im not a hater il say r.i.p for the fans cause lol evan if the team sucked hard the fans didnt stop belive in them

  • Nope we not get a 3 shot not if ASG are atlantic sprit group owns them...they reason we lost they never showed up for hockey here.....owners killed us GM waddell killed that was there 11 year plan sale to winnipeg!

  • Feel bad for three groups.

    The Kids.

    The Diehards

The older Thrasher fans who were fans of the once Atlanta Flames.

  • @mrceebees14 I saw one Flames game as a child, it was my first hockey game, I was hooked. Then when the Thrashers showed up my life was complete, now its empty again.

  • @mrceebees14 Well it'll be the same case with Phoenix, it's ridiculous that they had a 13k+ attendance the home opener and then the very next game at home it was 2k+. I can honestly say they don't diserve a team, they don't support them well enough.

  • anybody notice that kozzie is wearing the the gloves for the old jersey still?

  • speaking from a carolina hurricane stand point, i really do feel for the atlanta thrasher fans , i know that the pain of losing hockey must really hurt and feel angry about it all , its not the first time atlanta was taken away a hockey team , but i really do feel that if one day , the league does expand again , i hope atlanta gets another shot , as for pheonix still having a team over atlanta , it sucks ....

i will remember the good matchs atlanta gave my canes ,

  • I still feel that the wrong team relocated. The Coyotes have consistently averaged less than the Thrashers in terms of attendance despite the fact that they have had considerably more on-ice success.

My point remains that Atlanta may have not been a great hockey town but between the two teams in trouble, PHX should've moved to WPG. It would be fitting as they were the Jets in the first place. I feel worse for the city of Glendale's taxpayers than I do Atlanta fans, though.

  • @jcjr87

more on ice success? Atlanta made it to the playoffs ONCE and were swept. At lest the 'Yotes have made he playoffs over five times and have come close to winning a series. And i feel that PHX has more fans, but the fact that the place that they play is an hour drive away in the metro area of the 6th biggest US city isnt helping. Not to mention that you wouldnt want to get stuck in your car for an hour n 100 degree weather. I love my coyotes and i fear they will soon be gone.

  • @IamZOMBIEkiller27 Read it again genius, I clearly said that the Yotes had more on ice success

  • @jcjr87

Oh my bad, sorry man. No hard feelings.

  • Also most of those 11 sellouts were in the second half of the season...the place WAS packed post all-star break.

  • I know a little bit about hockey too, I've been a fan since I was 3. And I was here in Atlanta for the entire time. Much of the later years saw a lot more empty seats, I'll give you that, because people just got fed up with Atlanta spirit group. But in the team's inaugural season they sold out 14 games and averaged close to 17200 a night. In the year they made the playoffs they sold out 11 games and averaged 15k.

While the latter isn't PACKING a building, it's certainly far from "nobody"

  • @jcjr87 I agree.. it may not have been the largest crowd, but I still feel sorry for the all the true fans

  • It kinda sucks that Winnipeg's getting such a crappy team. But i think thats gonna change. The players are going to get way more motivation out of Winnipeg fans

  • @hockeyaustin I wouldn't be so sure. I highly doubt many hockey players want to live in a town like Winnipeg. They'll have more passionate fans but the city itself isn't a very desirable place to live.

  • @jcjr87 How do you know? Have you lived there?

  • @DontTaseM3Bro Yea i do, and those two games atlanta had better fans than anybody

  • Sorry you guys lost to team won too to canada but now the nhl will never return

  • @DontTaseM3Bro Thanks for being classy..it really is tough losing your favorite team.

  • @kenneth2951 Sorry you guys lost your team i hope you get another shot at the NHL some day.

  • now what atlanta??????

  • Man those were the good times, back when they made the playoffs the place was packed, and the energy was amazing

  • Atlanta was the biggest mistake the NHL ever made....next to Phoenix of course.

  • Will never forget my first Thrashers game :'(

  • @kenneth2951 It must have been nice being the only one there!

  • @TributeToHockey Stay classy :/ Philips Arena was packed.

  • @kenneth2951 Philips was never packed. Lets get real here, you think its moving cause it was packed? cOME ON NOW.

  • @miketheike33 not ALWAYS.....but for big games it was. LOSE THE OWNERS, SAVE THE TEAM.

  • @kenneth2951Canada deserves the team 100000x more than Atlanta

  • @miketheike33 I'll support the team wherever it goes.

  • @miketheike33 It WAS packed during 2006-2007, one of the few years ownership put an acceptable product on the ice. Get your facts straight, it's not like there were 10,000 fans a night for 10 straight years

  • @jcjr87 Your argueing with someone who knows stuff about hockey. So dont try to bullshit me. It was about 15000 for 2 years, then, 13k for the rest. If thats packed, than you have never been to an NHL game anywhere here in Canada. Its not like the arena only held 15k and they were sellling out, the arena held more, just noone went to the games. So, your wrong.

  • @kenneth2951 Atlanta moved because they had bad attendence, but they didn't have the worst, Florida, Phoenix, Tampa Bay, Columbus have bad attendance

  • @kenneth2951 sorry for the loss of your team. I feel bad for the passionate fans the Thrash do have.

  • @453c Thanks, it will certainly take a while for me to get over it...but whatever.
