Don't know if anyone has posted this , but you could have added WM XXVIII to WM X8 for E&C. WM XVIII would have face Edge and heel Christian with Christian's jealousy over Edge's single's success. (Personally I still think that it is ridiculous that Edge's major main event push came about basically because he cheated on his wife with his best friend's girlfriend but that's a different story)

I definitely agree with WrestleMania IX. I'm a fan of Yokozuna, but he really didn't belong in the main event scene so early on in his career. As for Lex and Bret, I would have liked to have seen them fight, but I think it's better that Bret avenged his loss from the previous year's WrestleMania.

@ReinEngel2 Unfortunately, Vince really didn't have much of a choice. Hulk Hogan was being forced out of the company because of a steroid scandal. Hogan couldn't win because he was leaving and Flair couldn't win because heels weren't allowed to win in the main event at WrestleMania back then.

That scandal cost us one of the biggest matches of all time.

Hulk Hogan vs. Paul Orndorff at WMIII. Andre was the big "passing the torch" program but Hogan-Orndorff would have been a better match and the psychological tension in their feud was off the charts: just watch some of the videos in the build-up to the Big Event. Andre could have easily turned on Hogan to back Orndorff and been in Orndorff's corner at the Silverdome. They drew 61K in Toronto so they could have sold out the Silverdome as well. Then the Andre match could be for another PPV.

Ax of Demolition had back issues at the time. I've said it for a while that HBK vs Rock should have happened at 20 because both had great history in their careers at the garden with both competing in classic ladder matches in MSG for the IC belt along with other great moments in MSG.

@Damn3691 No, HBK and The Rock never fought each other because when HBK was on top from '96-'98, The Rock was coming up in the Rocky Maivia giddy face gimmick and then the N.O.D. gimmick. By the time HBK dropped the belt to Austin and stopped wrestling in March '98, Rock was still IC Champ and didn't get the WWF title until Survivor Series 1998. When HBK returned in 2002, Rock began his Hollywood career and wasn't around much. It's a shame they never got to work a program.
