  • Great old song. I must admit that I had never heard this tune. Good Job, like the mandolin.

  • Beautyfull, just learnt this song playing crosspicked on my irish bouzouki

  • My Last name is Aragon, I have a picture of the Tall chimney still standing. This song is awesome. (sad that the mill closed down and left all those people with out a job)

  • Just lovely.

  • What a lovely sound ... sad song though - sad story.

Progress has no respect for heritage.

    Best rendition I've heard

  • beautiful crosspicking on a favorite song!

  • i live right beside the milll burnt dwn a few years back but the chimney didnt get burnt they left it as a land mark

  • heard this song about a year ago on cd.. i've know it as "belfast mill" done by The fureys.. great song!! great rendition

  • @BER1314 this song was written by Si Kahn, but it just languished until the Fureys made it theirs when their mill (Belfast Mill) closed and they changed the words.

  • Beautiful song and thank you! I have 15 years of my life invested in that old mill. Many of us that worked there felt like a family and still do. It sits down the street from "Aragon Tech, lovingly written.

  • Very nice job on a wonderful song with a message. I'm from New England and we have lots of mills in our part of the world, that have been closed for years, many have been converted into Senior apartments, shopping malls, some have rental of sq. footage for offices or light manufacturing businesses, and other uses. You can't buy a piece of clothing that's "made in U.S.A." these days, and to my thinking, that's a shame! When I first heard this song, I had to learn it, & I sing it with our band.

  • Love you playing the mandolin, beautiful,

Awesome singing, 5 stars my friend.

  • Beautiful!!!

  • sehr schön, wirklich !!

  • Vielen vielen Dank..

  • pure beauty...been searching for this so long.thank you

  • nice

  • My Great Grandfather worked at Aragon Mill, Both my Grandparents worked their entire lives there, my uncle worked there til it closed and my Dad worked there til he went into the army and never went back. I cried when heard your song and I'm sad now that they are taring it down. It should have been a mall or something.

  • you need to come to musicmoose<dot>org and join the mandolin herd.......tell them bitterroot sent ya, and I'll see you there for some jamin'
