  • Actually, I believe the version by Patrick Street on the album Fits of Passion is the best- hands down.

  • Love this version . It is nice and mellow but still carries the respect that this tune deserves. Mind you .... I am no Musician but I know a Bloody good tune when I hear wan.

  • i thought this was Patrick Street?

  • Originally by the Penguin Cafe Orchestra (C and E flat), then Patrick Street (D and F) and this lot do it in E flat and F sharp?? Is that capo abuse or have they speeded it up?

  • omg amazing!

  • I really like the cover of this. And I find that the Penguin cafe orchestra must have done a really cool version too as the tune is brilliant in its own right.

  • Does anyone know where I can buy this CD? I have been looking now for an hour and cannot find it on Amazon, iTunes - anywhere. This is exquisite - the best cover of this tune that I have heard. Thanks!

  • Hi Adante,

Thanks for the compliment. The album is not for sale anymore through shops etc. but there's a small collection left. Send me an email, and I might help you. Tommazz.

  • haha yes!

is this the band that originally made this song?

because it is in probably every movie ever made

  • No Thecurbstomper

The tune is made by Simon Jeffes and originally performed by the Penguin Café Orchestra for the Malcolm movie. This version is a cover by Amadán.

  • Brilliant music, brilliant performed. Brilliant Musicians. Put more depth into the "drum beat" and it would be a classic. Watch the M.F.I. advert.!!!

  • Hi Bladeblond

Sorry, no mp3's available. But if you're a bit handy you can rip the tune from this YouTube flv-movie. And every now and then you'll find the complete Amadán album at Limewire's.

  • I'll have a look. The album would probably be worth buying, although in inner city UK, it may be difficult to come by. I like to reward artists for fantastic work, would they be on itunes?

  • search for free studio manager and download and install and you can save this as mp3

  • Great rendition. I have a set of notational tabs I got on google.

type in music for a found harmonium dadgad

and on the second page it leads you to the tabs. Can you tell me if this is the notation you play because it seems different. I am only assuming you are playing it on DADGAD tuning?

any chance you can let me know?

    trev

  • Hi Trev

We use the DADGAD tuning a lot, but on this recording there's the standard tuning, though we tuned the E-string down to D. I tried to google this tabs-page but couldn't find it. We play the tune in D, second part goes to F, B# and then via A back to D. That's it. Hope yez all enjoy he tune. Next weeks and months I'll put some more Amadán tune's on YouTube. Cheerz.

  • Fantastic. Is there an mp3 rip I can download?
