Hi all, thanks for the wonderful comments. Please d/l and share the clip on your iPod/Zune etc. I'm thinking of another clip for National Day. Any suggestions welcome.
Look closer and see the number of family members and businesses PAP controls throughout government that will put the word dictator or even military dictator to shame, the nepotism and family based political blocs that goes on in these places easily makes these places Absolute Monarchies run by so-called political dynasties, the people just haven't put their finger on it yet . . .
spore like crazy kiasu under PAP! LoL.. the people in spore are mostly coward. Come to malaysia like blur2 and mostly act like very reach ugly betty!!
nonsense you! SDP is trampling PAP. PAP is NOT SG.
Singapore is among the few countries in the world which has brain-washed its citizens so much that it produces pple like u who cant tell the diff bet COUNTRY and PARTY.
One day, lky the dictator will be kicked out like Mugabe the dictator along with his cronies and minions - i.e. you - by patriots like SDP/WP etc. So yes, u had better start seeking Mugabe's advice on how to survive in exile! lol
the political struggle of sdp is not foolish. u are the foolish one because u think u will never get poor, old, or sick one day. Currently, retrenchment at 40, cpf withheld at 55, wash toilet and beg in streets at 80 yr old. Who will speak up for u then if u dont support free speech and democracy now? Think, u fool!
rububish you! Singing Majullah Singapura a little out of tune is NOT seditious nor is it disloyalty. Seditious is when you support the police in arresting people who are having peaceful protest IN ACCORDANCE to The Constitution! It's seditious because you r rebelling against The Constitution. And it is disloyal too, since u have no loyalty to The COnstitution. Do u know what is THE CONSTITUTION?
In the end, I support LKY and a lot of what the PAP does (not everything). The SDP is simply not strong enough but simply being allowed to exist should show that SG is still democratic, albeit a strict democratic country. I don't want to spend all the time in the world defending myself like I have on other videos so yeah, summed up my feelings in one comment.
Not all rules are bad in Sg, just some e.g. smoking rules, cig taxes too high, housing loan policies that made many turned bankrupted, 'No Say' on any changes which affect most lives. A ridiculous 11pm time set implemented for youth below 17 (I know its better in the long run... but??)
If there is FoS, do u think no one will mention anything about all things that are becoming expensive? Do you think everyone will agree like a herd of kambings? Of cos I dont mean that people should demonstrate or rallying against the Govt. Dont u see that we really NEED at least 25% opposition party in the Parliament to speak for the minority?
How many percent from the opposing party in the Parliament to argue or object our ruling Govt.? That percentage of of the opposition party are always being mocked or laughed at in the Parliament. That's where when we feel the pressure of not having FoS.
The famous faces will made bankrupt and the not popular ones will be MIA (coz ppl wont be questioning about their absence). Sigh.. I'm the 'not popular' category.
In democratic nations, the media is a security tool, a watchdog, but in a pseudo democratic state like singapore, its more like a good little puppy lapdog.
Basically, if you're in the opposition, you'll get 1) DEFAMED followed by 2) MASS SUING AND FINES. Basically they just snatch your life away.
One other thing though - in the end when you say those criminals "should be stripped of their natural rights", I take umbrage. As you rightly point out, the measure of how decent a society is is how they treat their criminals. If you stripped the power elites of their natural rights you would merely be replacing one dictatorship with another.
it is not how the PAP treat criminals but rather how they treat the voting public. LKY & Co treat singapore as their own as does LKY family members. dont forget, PAP have had the advantage of 40 years of uninterrupted indoctrination (they just use the ISD and CID intellegence to crush the opposition). the mindless sheep dont know otherwise.
I never thought I would live to see the day that I heard "Majulah Singapura" in a minor key as a Latin piece. Well done. I hope they didn't lock you up for this. Keep fighting the good fight.

The text at the end was most beautifully written.
Singapore will attain democracy one day, it's just when. I hope it comes sooner...

So SDP is prepared to trample on the State Fag of Singapore for its narrow and screwed up agenda.
Majulah Singapura! Singapore is among the few countries in the world that applies its law.
The fact that the SDP can make so much nuisance is testimony that the Singapore Government is tolerant, respects and practises democratic principles.
Maybe we should ask Mr Mugabe for some advice.

It wasn't the intention. The intention was just fun. Martyn See happened to have the footage at the time, so I used it.

Hi, I would like to know Dr Chee's real news and what is his intention and what he know about singapore that we do not.
I am interested to know more, where can I researched on that?

This is a disgrace!
'Majulah Singapura' is our national anthem and perhaps the most politically neutral national song!
Mocking it is not only seditious; it's utter disloyalty. There's more to Singapore than just politics.

IF i want to be a dictator, i wanna be like LKY.

So in the words of George W Bush, it doesn't matter if it's a dictatorship, just so long as you are the dictator? :P

it is kind of sad how the pap treats the opposition parties....There is no transparency in the cpf or charity funds

i'm not surprised because the media such as radio,tv and newspaper in singapore are owned by the pap.
