@mastergio3: Well... Find the objects you want and start creating the inside of a house or whatever you want to make. Getting walls, floors, and ceilings in place is good start, then just keep adding things to it. Also don't forget vis-areas and portals for better performance. Alternatively just learn tools such as 3DS Max if you want to make your own, unique looking house. If you're not ready for that, give solids (tool in Sandbox) a try.
@Brygelsmack I was just curious because i usually use brushes too but i wasn't sure if it would be better to use veg objects or not, only because the engine can handle so many of them.
This video is great! Placing vegetation and objects in Sandbox 2 is just so fun because you can make your world however you want. Can't wait for this dude!
Do you know how to make shadows lighter? Cuz when I make my own maps the shadows are very dark and in forests I can't see anything, but in the original maps the shadows are very much lighter...
You should be able to find some angle settings in the Snap to Grid options. Navigate to the small arrow next to the Snap to Grid button and you should have no problem finding it.
Amazing! You never think about all the work that is put into making the levels; Every little detail from the grass to the lighting. Looking forward to playing the map. :)
what is that grass type/name what you use?

The Vulture, this is a great piece of Perfection! :D
You place a piece of wood (0:06) and what do you get!? A piece of art!
you have a great sense of where to place objects to make it look realistic and beautifull! Keep it up!

Pretty good so far.
I got a question for you about rocks - when you make cliffs and the sides of mountains with them do you use brushes or vegetation objects?
jackoneill45 1 year ago
@jackoneill45: Brushes.
Why?

Very nice Vulture, your map is inspiring, I am definitely going to try to make a map after I finish my Ultra High Weapon Textures.

Are you casting shadows on the grass?

In this video, yes, but there won't be any shadows on the grass in the final thing.

Don't get too excited, though. Doing this map won't please you sexually.
All kidding aside, I don't think it'll be that hard on your computer.
