It is truly sad that we live on a planet where the majority of it's inhabitants choose not only to deny its geological history and the things we KNOW to be definitively true about our existence, but who actually desire passionately to view life through a 1st century perspective of ignorance, when things such as earthquakes and volcanos were thought to be god's wrath and alleged events as benign as virgin births and ressurrections somehow equated to the epitome of goodness. God help us all!

If I were to say to you, "Give me $1,000 today and I will give you $2,000 back tomorrow", immediately your mind would begin calculating probabilities. You would consider the circumstsnces by which we met, what I'm wearing, what I'm driving, my line of business, etc... You would then likely check my references to see if I've , cont.....

It is absolutely nuts to believe a claim without any evidence, but the resurrection of Jesus has been examined very thoroughly. If you really wanted to know, you can search articles, books, or even youtube videos about it.

Tell me, is the statement, "the sum of the interior angles of a triangle is equal to 180 degrees", a fact? I am interested in your answer.

@aburling7 Not nuts. There was a famous fellow named Josh McDowell who decided to analyze the legal evidence of the Resurrection in order to debunk it. That fellow ended up becoming a believer. IF there is a God, wouldn't you expect him to do some unique things? Of course, from a human viewpoint, nothing miraculous can happen, so nothing miraculous does happen. I've read through the 1st century documents and I believe Jesus rose from the dead, not because anyone can do it, because he's God.

In order to understand how old the earth really is, one must be taught about the unpopular teaching of the 3 Earth ages talked about in the Bible. There was an Earth age before this one, we are currently in the 2nd one and the 3rd one is eternity. The 3 Earth ages are all throughout Scripture. But for the sake of space on this comment look up 2 Peter 3:5-13. The Earth is indeed billions or yrs old. This current Earth age were in now is only about 14,000 yrs old give or take.
