老家穷，90年代后才通电，有电视后印象最深的就是三国了，难忘­经典。

翻拍4大名著的导演都是脑白吃,吴宇森是只能拍色情片的货,凑他­妈什么热闹侮辱名著.  现在的傻比演员都是没文化的没素质的白吃,跟导演上床就能上镜头­,整个都是垃圾 .

新版华而不实。武打倒是还不错， 但是对话台词平俗， 昔日驰骋疆场，留名千史的人物被排的一点气势和深度都没有， 文化水平接近我六岁时读的画书版的三国演义。。。这个版本虽然没­有新版那么华丽， 但是人物刻画到点， 对话经典含蓄。演义中古人的那股豪爽， 朴素， 以及乱世中英雄辈出的环境， 都刻画得比新版好不止一个档次。 这才更符合我们心中的三国！！

@thedoomedninjia 新版把钱都花在道具,服装等次要上了,主要的人物给人感觉非常粗­糙,没有好的人物设定为基础,场景跟道具再华丽整部剧给人的感觉­还是很粗糙.

But have you re-watched this series within the last two years?

Whether you like it or not, the art direction of the new series is much more skillful. Camera shots evoke emotion well, characters' motivations are more understandable, and battles are more actively interesting. It is a modern show; it won't follow the history exactly. But neither did Luo Guanzhong's SGYY.

And if your argument is simply that the new director "does gay things", stop. Just stop.

@kanraga the battles contain reused footage and there are less battles in the 2010 version. I can tell you that every major battle in the old TV series (from Wan castle to Jiang Wei's campaigns) is unique, and elaborately explained. The battles, believe it or not, are less realistic in the 2010 version solely due to the fact that everyone has armor. Several characters who were featured prominently in the 1994 version (e.g Guo Jia) got much less screentime.

@ShaotheGreat Whether or not the battles are unique shots is a moot point. If they aren't interesting, if the characters' motivations for fighting aren't clearly shown through their *own* actions and not through the mood-interrupting narration, and if the soldiers themselves don't look like they want to be there, I would rather have stock footage instead. I think the old series' lackluster, unenthusiastic soldiers look far more unrealistic than the new series' armored footmen.

@kanraga It is not a moot point! Battles were more than 70% of what the time period was. You didn't watch the battles for the enthusiasm of peasants, you watched for the strategies and the generals. You watch the ebb and flow of battles such as Guan Du and He Fei. You watch the stellar acting of people like Bao An Guo as Cao Cao. The narration does not interrupt the mood, because the narrator's voice is awesome. You also seem to forget that they used "mood-interrupting" narration in the new one

@ShaotheGreat I will give you that the new series didn't do long-distance views of battles very well. But what the new series did do was explain battles properly, give reasons for why and how they occurred, and what the outcome would mean - using only characters. Unlike the old series, the new series neither had nor needed episodic, expository narration, because it told its basic story well. I liked the narrator's voice, but he should not have been *necessary* to understand the plot.

@kanraga the art directions are more skillful because they have to -- like if you don't sleep well the the other night you probably need to wear makeup. i'm not saying that i'm against post processing, but only post processing is not enough. the characters' personalities are written on their very face because their understanding is so shallow that they are afraid if they don't do so the audience won't understand. truth is their audience probably read the original novel more times that they did

I still prefer everything about this version compared to the 2010 version. Modern movies like Red Cliff, Three Kingdoms and The Lost Bladesman are still pale in comparison compared to this.

It's a shame that they didn't cover the story till the very end (i.e. Fall of Wu), though.

For us who grew up in mainland China, whatever came out of Hong Kong or Taiwan were, well, may or may not be good, plenty of them were awesome, yet they still, comparing to shows produced in mainland China, couldn't capture the, you know, the historical significance of historical events. I dont know how you feel, but whenever I see an show ostensibly "historical show" from hong kong or taiwan, I can't help but wondering: man, this can't be

I can't be agree more. historical background shows from mainland China usually are much better than the ones from Hong Kong. Especailly the recent movies from Hong Kong, they look like a joke rather than a histrical movie.

I'm pretty about it's not really about some juvenile problems the protagonists have with his or her parents or siblings. As cynical as shows produced in mainland might sound, IMHO, it captures what happens in real life much mors so than shows from much more commercialized societies, which, almost invariably, always reduce historically significantly events into petty squabbles about

@IwantaYBaccount 哈哈哈，朋友，老版的道具可一点都不粗糙，当年都是在社科院的老­专家指导下制造出来的，衣服都是根据出土文献的记载手工缝制出来­的，花了很多心血啊，但是原汁原味的还原了历史场景，三国时代的­东西没有那么华丽的。

第一部拍摄的人是用心去拍得，而不是为钱拍的。

比如第一部红楼梦的时候，女演员的选取都是综合考虑小说里面的人­物特点，全国范围里面找出来的。而且演员每天都要求要读红楼梦，­认真体会人物。哪像现在，找几个脸蛋好的，没读过红楼的去演，都­跟妓女似的
