So, as you mentioned, let's be objective ... 1) She said Obama voted to raise taxes on people making 42,000 a year. She argued this would take money out of the middle class. Her case was tax cuts would lose jobs and shrink the middle class. This backfired when Biden responded stating that McCain voted the same exact way. This was a budget procedural vote she was referring to. She had no response.

I think it was a mistake to OVERESTIMATE her skills by electing her as governor of Alaska to begin with. Was her opponent really so bad that she was was the better choice (which is really hard to imagine)? She didn't even clearly answer the question. A less attractive man might not have gotten away with that. Biden had to walk a thin line since he's very gaffe-prone. If he got too aggressive, he could have said something very offensive and made Palin more sympathetic. Besides, Palin pretty much proved she wasn't ready for the job by her "answers" alone. Biden had plenty of substance.
