He came up with the "Marque and Reprisal Act 2001."
Google it.
It enabled the mercenaries like Blackwater and Xi.
"...Private U.S. citizens would then be able to hunt down, attack and collect assets from terrorists who have or are planning to commit hostile acts against the U.S. and its citizens."
Terrorist has NOT been defined. It can be anyone the government deems a threat.
Most of all Obama fans for the love of your country please do some research already! Obama is the posterchild for saying something in order to get elected then doing the opposite. We now KNOW how he operates through his ACTIONS and not through is charismatic delivery of rhetoric written up by someone else. Come on people he shouldn't even be an option!
The people in this country have no clue. Our myopic view of left or right has distorted any rational thought. Ask yourself why do we allow a private central bank aka Fed Reserve control the money you and I earn and can choose to devalue it whenever they choose? Ask yourself why we haven't had an actual physical audit of the gold reserves at fort knox in decades? People we are all in for a bumpy ride. Our inability to see will cost us dearly.
The politicians try to divide us on emotional issues, such as abortion, race, illegal immigrants etc...so we won't look at the real problems and we won't unite to elect the right president for our country.
Now, more than ever, is time to vote based on candidate's merit, knowledge, integrity, love for this country and its people, genuine dedication for the good of this country, a candidate who proved himself over and over again.
Ron Paul transcends the Republican Party; his appeal is across the board far beyond any candidate from any party. He registers republican so he can have an audience base. Don't look at republican numbers alone for his popularity. Remember he was the last man standing against McCain. If Ron Paul can take the Republican nomination he will in fact win in 2012.
democrates, republicans and independents and the world will join the Ron Paul revolution. Ron Pauls message is like a thunderbolt of consience awakening Americans and counties around the world in the millions from the abusive powers. Long live Ron Paul and his beautiful prevailed message.
I'm not sure what to think of R Paul.I agree with almost everything he says. That rarely happens in government so I'm afraid he's just saying what we want to hear. Also,he insists on running as a republican.I don't think they want him as their representative.I hope he's for real and he gets elected.
Check his Congressional voting record - they call him "Doctor No" because he votes "Nay" on any bill that is not expressly authorized by the constitution... which often puts him at odds with his party.
@wizardprang So my question would be,does he think he's going to be elected as a republican or is he just another politician telling us what we want to here to somehow manipulate the next election?I'm hopeful he's for real but suspicious of politics in general.
@MrSafetymeeting Time will tell. If we don't get rid of the income tax then we will be forever enslaved and Ron is the only one talking about it. Both parties are corrupt so we'll see how the repubs handle Dr. Paul. I have a feeling they will marginalize him, as usual. Traitors, every one of' em.
@MOPEDBRAD I agree that the media will ruin a third party. This is why we are completely screwed.People are idiots. The media is controlled by the same rich bastards that control the democratic and republican partys.
@TadRapidly That is another concern I have because I don't believe the president has the power to get rid of income taxes. That is an empty promise.I don't disagree with him but I'm skeptical of anyone that seems to good to be true.
@MrSafetymeeting On the contrary; Income tax is blatantly unconstitutional and the "amendment" supporting it was never ratified properly. By ignoring this, Obama is engaged in high treason, just like every president before him.
@TadRapidly I agree that income tax is unconstitutional.I think you're oversimplifying this. The president doesn't have absolute power over such issues. The people who run this country would kill him in a second if he could.
@MrSafetymeeting The president controls the IRS. He could just choose not to collect income taxes. This would likely lead to a supreme court battle or something along those lines. But if you ended the income tax and nothing was taken out of peoples' paychecks for a year or 2, imagine what would happen when the gov't tried to reinstitute it. There could be a revolt. Of course reducing spending is the key since the gov't can always "borrow" from the FED.
@LSDNY I think if the president tried that there would soon be a news story about how he went on a hunting trip with Cheney.I'm all for a revolt as I believe the election process in this country is corrupt and easily manipulated.
Don't forget we are the majority. We have power in number. All we have to do is to use our power and not give up; if not for us, for our children and grandchildren. Let's unity and stay focus. Let's educate everyone around us. It's our duty to educate the ones who get so easily influenced by television and empty words and promises. We vote and our vote is counted. We are this country!
@gigiontube I know, the fact that the citizens constitute this country seems to get lost on people. So often when "America" is mentioned in the news it is referring to the government. The government is anti-american and that is a cold hard fact. Yikes.
RE: "I'm afraid he's just saying what we want to hear."
Dear, that was Obama, also Clinton, also Bush, almost all of them lately, but NOT Mr. Paul.
If you want to know what Ron Paul is about, look at his record, look at his votes in Congress. Mr. Ron Paul is saying the SAME THINGS for decades. The difference is, now people are starting to pay attention. Till now, they were listening to the lies of our presidents, media, other politicians.
@gigiontube I didn't agree with anything Clinton,Obama or Bush said. That's what makes Paul different.I agree with him and his speeches actually have substance.I don't however believe he has a chance a a republican.I don't want to argue because fundamentally ,I think we agree.
Being that you misspelled "won," I doubt you are even a 12-year old, let alone registered to vote. I'm sure when you are old enough to stop using diapers, you'll vote for Ron.
@savemyplaylist "OOh you mispelled". Typical Ron Paul wuss. Judging by the signs on display at teabag rallies, you Republiturds are not exactly spelling bee champs. "Ron Paul revolution" LOL. Boy, that revolution really took the country by storm in '08 didn't it. LOL.
@Palin123Sucks The Democrats and Republicans have both been doing a wonderful job of transferring the wealth of the working class in this country to friends and bankers overseas. Until America realizes who these politicians are working for, we will not stop the inevitable destruction of this country. Watch "Meltup" on youtube by usinflation.
Then do a search for "Monopoly Men." Do a search for "Ron Paul Illuminati". Most of all "Obama Deception"
It would be a shame if he doesn't get to be president after all these decades of dedication and service. If there is anyone we need in the Oval Office it's Ron Paul.
@sndd0138 I think he has the best answers. I just wonder if the all powerful elite are pulling his strings as well. Money rules and they have a whole lot more than you or I. Who's to say he'd follow through on what he says? Obama didn't? Our politicians are not being held accountable for their false promises.
@RonPaulFuture A dope is one who takes what they see at face value and believe it all to be true. Just look at all of the tools America votes into political office. I have good reason to be skeptical of these politicians, even of Ron Paul. While I will vote for him if he runs for President, I will not lose my skepticism until words actually turn to action. The day the Federal Reserve ends is the day America win. Until then I'm skeptical.
But its naive to believe that End the Fed will End the Fight. Friendman's fallacious Starve the Beast teaches us that starving the government of money doesn't stop their reckless spending.
We need to work hard to teach people the virtues of limited government, the value of reaping only the fruits of our own labor, the value of producing and the dangers of the free ride myth.
I like to know about this Mans roots- we need to raise our Kids how Ron was raised. We need more RON PAULS. He must have a high standard of Ethics. The evil powers can not find anything bad about him. He evidently has no "closet" it is a joy to listen to him. A breath of TRUTH. A brave Man. Someone who confronts truth and takes responsibility. BIG PHARMA is busy making sure we have no more Ron Pauls.
I like how he was able to open with a joke. He looks and sounds so much more comfortable giving speeches than he did 3 short years ago when the message of liberty was not received quite the same way it is today, thanks Ron Paul!
He's right about young people - I was at the playground with my daughter (7 years old) and she climbed up on one of these big archway things, put her arms up, and shouted, "Hey Daddy! End the FED!!!"
So I climbed up their with her and yelled out my own "End the FED!!!"
If they don't adequately discuss real subjects in school, you have to discuss them at home.
I don't think the "message of liberty" will fade now that it's out in the open - the co-opting of the tea parties doesn't seem to be working which is a good sign.
I buy my daughter silver coins now and then to teach her about sound money and she's very inquisitive so I hope she has a firm grasp of things in the future (she loves Australian Koalas!)
I don't own a gun (which under the circumstances is probably unwise), but if I get one I'll certainly help her learn how to use it!
What's difficult about all this Govt/bankster nonsense is that I'm essentially a calm, non-violent family man who's always paid my taxes and acted responsibly, but now I feel as though my family is being threatened relentlessly and I'm painted as a threat for being upset about it.
Life offers much more than money/power - they can't seem to grasp that.
@continuityofliberty yeah, you are right. It is an uphill fight for us. At my university, almost none of my professors actually support the idea of liberty. they preach about having to spread wealth around and that the government's responsibilty is to ensure equality, so the education and wages gap needs to close. It really is disgusting what I have to go through everyday.
The 70's generation is too greedy to let its posterity correct the government. They are sure debt doesnt need to repaid and we (the youth) are insane and invalid for wanting to hold people to their word, as though if the truth came out the whole system would come tumbling down. Like it's our fault if the system fails, because we don't want to double down. As for the dollar's demise, too late, really though, we have past the point of inflection. Gold can't be counterfeited, read about Archimedes.
I was born in the 70's and I don't agree with any of your assertions about how people from my generation sees things.
I'd actually like someone to address the fact that having people pay for debts incurred by the Government contributes immensely to the problems we face today.
It's basically a blank check for Government, and when coupled with unlimited fiat currency it's a recipe for disaster (especially when fraud and deceit are involved)
@continuityofliberty Ok, misunderstanding. I meant people that were like 20 in the 70's, I guess that would be the 50's generation, the people that had kids in the 70's and 80's. Kids who are now old enough, like you, to want to change things back to sound societies with limited federal force, but for some reason the generation above is blind.
What is odd about growing up in the 70's is how we're experiencing very similar events now and I can't help but feel we've wasted decades that would have been better spent if we'd concentrated on fixing the problems, rather than trying to alleviate or hide the symptoms through Government intervention/manipulation (both here and abroad)
I bet oil wouldn't be as much of a concern now if we'd pursued alternatives back then...
People are desperate for any alternative to the crazy shit going on in DC now. Most thinking people have a strong intuition that things are terrible and getting worse.
How that nimrod McCain was chosen over Ron Paul in 2008 is beyond me and practically everybody else who watched the presidential debate. Ron will be just as effective if he participates in the 2012 debate, but he didn't get the nomination in 2008 despite obviously dominating the debate on practically every issue. So I am afraid the same could happen in 2012. And if it does it will be definitive proof that the election process is nothing but a farce and a charade.
@st1ckycheese Dr. Paul is a member of the Republican party in name only. The NeoCons are scared to death of him because he advocates ending their aggressive military stance all over the world, and at their core economically they are no different than the looney Progressives.
@pretorious700 I agree: Ron Paul was the only true conservative/republican on stage during the presidential debate and the rest were big government-neocon-warmongers who want nothing more than to maintain the status quo at home and abroad. I don't know how scared they are, though, considering that they have all of the power.
im sorry. but, i need to know: how DIDNT this man win in 2008? it makes no logical sense to me at all ! smart, experienced, truth seeking, honest and above all a man who sticks to his convictions !
@iamdiaperman well it was because media wrote him off because they thought he was crazy and republicans attack him on his foreign policy and stated Ron Paul blames Americans for 911...Its was all Bullshit but hell thats politics here in america
@iamdiaperman well it was because media wrote him off because they thought he was crazy and republicans attack him on his foreign policy and stated Ron Paul blames Americans for 911...Its was all Bullshit but hell thats politics here in america
@iamdiaperman I proudly wrote Ron Paul's name in on the ballot. But if you look back at debates and coverage of the primaries, he was completely marginalized and set aside by the media - never taken seriously. Surprised? I wasn't. He makes too much sense and has the right answers. The elitist banker puppeteers behind the presidency (any presidency) don't want him to be heard because he is right, he wakes people up, and the elite can't control him!
Well, when you combine the media smearing him with the possibility of vote fraud, it's quite easy to see why he didn't win. Ever seen Hacking Democracy? Look it up on Google Videos. You can order it through Netflix, too, if you're a subscriber.
@TAC951 don't worry. we probably wont win in the short term, but in the long term, when we win the ideological battle, someone like ron paul will win in a landslide, at which point abolishing the departments one by one will be met with great fanfare
@RonPaul2008dotcom I love you Ron Paul!!! You kindle my little glowing speck of love and hope... just like the little speck of light in the Never Ending Story...

What's difficult about all this Govt/bankster nonsense is that I'm essentially a calm, non-violent family man who's always paid my taxes and acted responsibly, but now I feel as though my family is being threatened relentlessly and I'm painted as a threat for being upset about it.
Life offers much more than money/power - they can't seem to grasp that.
continuityofliberty 1 year ago
@continuityofliberty yeah, you are right. It is an uphill fight for us. At my university, almost none of my professors actually support the idea of liberty. they preach about having to spread wealth around and that the government's responsibilty is to ensure equality, so the education and wages gap needs to close. It really is disgusting what I have to go through everyday.
sharinganclan213 1 year ago
@sharinganclan213
It seems the "spread-the-wealthers" always want to be the middleman in any spreading that occurs - that pretty much sums up the argument in my mind.
If we don't make the change this time around we can at least count on many of the youth of today to continue the fight tomorrow.

@MotesTV
I was born in the 70's and I don't agree with any of your assertions about how people from my generation sees things.
I'd actually like someone to address the fact that having people pay for debts incurred by the Government contributes immensely to the problems we face today.
It's basically a blank check for Government, and when coupled with unlimited fiat currency it's a recipe for disaster (especially when fraud and deceit are involved)
continuityofliberty 1 year ago
@continuityofliberty Ok, misunderstanding. I meant people that were like 20 in the 70's, I guess that would be the 50's generation, the people that had kids in the 70's and 80's. Kids who are now old enough, like you, to want to change things back to sound societies with limited federal force, but for some reason the generation above is blind.
MotesTV 1 year ago
@MotesTV Oh! In that case I agree.

@continuityofliberty Amen.

And if it does it will be definitive proof that the election process is nothing but a farce and a charade.
st1ckycheese 1 year ago 6
@st1ckycheese Dr. Paul is a member of the Republican party in name only. The NeoCons are scared to death of him because he advocates ending their aggressive military stance all over the world, and at their core economically they are no different than the looney Progressives.
pretorious700 1 year ago 4
@pretorious700 I agree: Ron Paul was the only true conservative/republican on stage during the presidential debate and the rest were big government-neocon-warmongers who want nothing more than to maintain the status quo at home and abroad. I don't know how scared they are, though, considering that they have all of the power.

@iamdiaperman I proudly wrote Ron Paul's name in on the ballot. But if you look back at debates and coverage of the primaries, he was completely marginalized and set aside by the media - never taken seriously. Surprised? I wasn't. He makes too much sense and has the right answers. The elitist banker puppeteers behind the presidency (any presidency) don't want him to be heard because he is right, he wakes people up, and the elite can't control him!
elemare113 1 year ago 4
@iamdiaperman
