Always brilliant Rose. She knows that the Donna Noble Dr. will live on in pain and loneliness. & always clueless Donna, thinks that the Dr. needs an equal, not true love.
As much as it made me bawl..I loved the ending..Rose and 10.2 together. The Time Lord Doctor couldn't let his guard down enough-knowing one day he would have to leave Rose behind, now there is a part of him that can spend his life with her. I have only just seen this scene, and it makes it perfect. They're still together, out there, seeing the stars...just as it should be :) (oh, and it keeps DT and BP available to be in future episodes-can't beat that!)
"Just what skinny boy needs, an equal." Fair point Donna, but I think you were his equal before you became part-Timelord. As was Martha, and Rose, and Captain Jack, and Sarah Jane. The Doctor takes only the best, and that what all of them were: the best.
"I've got madam." I know everyone's crying about Rose, but for me this will ALWAYS be a Doctor/Donna scene. Because the Doctor knows what's coming, and he knows his heart is going to break even further, but he's letting Donna believe that she can be happy. Just like Eleven said, "What's the point in them being happy now if they're going to be sad later? The answer is, of course, because they are going to be sad later."
personally im glad this was cut, from what i gathered from "the dr's wife" tardises are built, its just the time vortex energy that makes them work which is grown and this scene seems to imply that the structure's are grown too which as RTD says, makes everything too confusing lol
There was a beautiful moment there, "The Doctor in the TARDIS with Rose Tyler, just as it should be!" and then Donna had to ruin it by opening her mouth. Catherine Tate is a fantastic actress, but I could not stand Donna. God I love Tennant though. Two of him? Pure perfection.
i just finished season two, where the doctor says goodbye to rose. and i watched donna in the christmas invasion....so i'm confused. is this a deleted episode? or is this part of a different season?
@icrimsongalaxy I guess you could say it *is* still canon, coz RTD wrote it and even said in the video above that he likes to think it still happened...
@wildste Maybe her own matching metacrisis... Grown from the original TARDIS's biological material with the energy from the new universe making her just a bit different from her predecessor. Kind of a nice symmetry there, if you think about it. Maybe it was Bad Wolf's final gift; the Doctor, the TARDIS, her family, and a full and happy life. It's not perfect, of course, but it's more than most people have. And, she deserves it after all she sacrificed over the years.
@elly13x There was in fact a 15 minute long "episode" that happened in between "The Last of the Time Lords" and "Voyage of the Damned" in which the fifth Doctor is pulled into the TARDIS and gets extremely confused by Ten being there. It was pretty great, and they should definitely do another like that.
This scene was really good until Rose asked the Doctor what he was going to do now and Donna pretty much says, "Well he's got me so now we can be buddies forever! Because I'm awesome now and we can be equals. Did I mention I could be with him forever?" And the Doctor just sits back and agrees. Out of character considering the rest of the scene. I'm glad they cut THAT part out... but they could've kept the first half. :3
@SquirrellyFries It's not out of character at all actually. When back in the Tardis, Donna is deeply in denial about what is happening and will happen, and the Doctor is very careful not to tread on that until she begins stuttering and can no longer deny the truth of things to herself. It's absolutely in character for the Doctor to keep his feelings to himself while he can, and the last thing he'd want to do is alarm everyone with Donna's impending demise. It would have thrown Rose into a panic.
Don't bash me, Donna fans, but she was a bit of a bitch to Rose then. :c Tose loved trhe Doctor, and the Doctor loved Rose, and she was all in her face about still being with the Doctor. >.< Bah.
@DwarfTorja That's exactly what I thought, 'that's exactly what he needs...an equal.' a bit harsh considering Rose definately isn't the Doctor's equal.
@AntiTwilight101 [All of Martha's episodes were "Hey, Doctor, I figured out how to save the world by myself!" and he goes "Waaah, I miss Rose."]
Not ALL of the episodes - "Blink" wasn't like that. :P Actually, it wasn't even Doctor-centric... which is odd... But it was a Moffatt creation, so it was good nonetheless. :)
wow. I'm glad they cut this scene. Donna sounds so pompous! it would've made me hate her too much for me to love her now. I miss Rose, but each companion is always great.
m also one of the maybe three and a half people in the universe not to like Rose. Do I agree that there was great chemistry (a word which here means non-romantic Doctor-companion) between her and the Doctor? Yes. Do I like her? Not really.
@sternbergzookie THANK YOU. We three and a half people should start a club. I liked Martha because she was smart, kept her head, and had a hopeless crush on the Doctor (and really, who wouldn't). All of Martha's episodes were "Hey, Doctor, I figured out how to save the world by myself!" and he goes "Waaah, I miss Rose."
@AntiTwilight101 Yeah, Martha was badass. And I'm starting to like her more and more (did Rose travel the world collecting vials of bluff-material while making fans of the Doctor? Nuh-uh.). There's a macro, somewhere, about Martha joining Torchwood and actually doing something besides--as the macro put it--"swearing and shagging."
@sternbergzookie And regarding crushes on the Doctor: yeeaaahhh. As the motivator said: "Bringing Sexy Back: Best done by a ridiculously hot Scotsman who plays a ridiculously hot alien Doctor."
Somewhere their is an epic adventure with 10nant and Rose teaming up, saving Earth and growing an TARDIS. It's awesome we get an equal kind of epic adventure between 11 and his companions!
We need RTD to do one or two more guest writer episodes... possibly for 2013. He needs to tell us who the Woman from The End of Time was, and we need to see this scene!
@tsjmcgrath Which woman from the end of time? Are you talking about the same one I was curious about who was on Rassilions right side? When I first saw that, I wondered if she was his mother.
What episode does river refer to the 2 doctors?? Im kind of torn on this scene. In a way it kind of broke up the sad dramatic tone. On the other hand we got to see a little mor of 10.5 which I felt like we missed. I felt I couldn't get 'attached' to him as much. Idk. Still sad they didn't end up together. Anyone remember when Mickey said that same line? Don't remember the episode but 'the doctor in the tardis with rose Tyler. Just the way it should be. '. Ugh I luv 10 saying that to her. Makes
I just want you to know, there are worlds out there, safe in the sky because of her. That there are people living in the light, and singing songs of Donna Noble, a thousand, million light years away. They will never forget her, while she can never remember. And for one moment… one shining moment… she was the most important woman in the whole wide universe.
@CrapTurret94 um, i'm sorry, but if you hate Donna, who the hell is better than her? because there are only two answers that i will BEGIN to except, and those are Romana or Ace. if not, I am going to throw a Dalek at you because anyone else doesn't come close to Donna's brilliance.
One of the subtleties of this moment or the actual show's moment I love is that Rose and Meta-Crisis Doctor are both wearing the same color outfits. A light purple undershirt and a blue jacket of some kind. Meaning they're perfectly paired.
Rose was so annoying, particularly by that point in the show. In my opinion, she worked best opposite Doctor #9. The stuff with 10 was just so forced to me.
@devane85 i kind of agree with you. i feel like nine controlled rose the best. that could also be because rose was younger and less experienced when she traveled with nine so she needed a keeper of sorts. when she travels with 10 she is more mature so she doesnt need to be controlled as much. i think rose and 10 have similar goofy personalities while 9 was more serious. i dont think 10 and rose was all that forced although i kind of see it in the romance scences. i warmed up to rose/10 though.
I always thought that River's "2 Doctor's" comment was like a birthday wish in a "fun" way, nudge, nudge, wink, wink, not something that actually happened. But as we've learn each season, trying to guess with this show usually leads us down the wrong path! Which is why I love it!
Congrats to David with upcoming baby & marriage!! Best wishes to you both!
I was watching an episode of Stargate SG-1 yesterday called " the Tok'Ra ". In the story, the SG-1 Team meet these people who can create, or rather " grow " tunnels from under a Planets surface . . . . i wonder therefore if Russell himself had seen this episode, and it gave him the idea that the Tardis was not built . . . . but rather grown !!.
I might be wrong, might just be coincidence . . but the SG-1 episode was before the New Series of Doctor Who began so i could very well be right.
Thought I'd finished shedding my tears for this ep...evidently not.
In my head this is still 100% canon. And then 10.5 can work out a way to fix the whole meta-crisis thing with Donna. And they can both rescue the Master from the Time Lock.
@Spectic Technically, it is canon, since it was hinted at in DWM, which is officially sanctioned by the BBC. It's just one of those passive moments they could have stuck on the end of the episode, or left after the credits. I miss rose
@JapNarutofan No, nothing outside of the official show is considered official canon, especially since official BBC books sanctioned by the BBC have been rewritten as episodes with some differences but the same story and characters. I don't miss Rose, not at all.
THANK YOU. Been looking for ages for this scene so I could prove to my friends how Tennant could get back into our universe. That scene in the trailer of the old TARDIS control room will make perfect sense to anyone who saw this scene.
Tennant is coming back this season. I'll just go ahead and say it. There's almost no chance he won't. Just drop this scene in as a flashback, and everything will make perfect sense.
@bountybar Lol ya I guess. Still haven't seen it, waiting for the US time to come on. Whatever, it's still a possibility for later in the season. I still think they will revisit the Time War at a later date, and when they do all bets are off on old characters coming back.
@Dangturtle It came on BBCA at the 9:00, last Saturday! I loved the coral control room, and was sad that it got deleted. Maybe TARDIS can restructure the old control rooms again? Viva Decem!
AAAAAAAHHHH! How could they cut this??? I mean, I can see why they cut it, because it actually sucks worse than the rest of the episode, which is saying a lot. But how could they leave out the bit about Rose and 10.5 having a TARDIS? It makes their fate completely different! And one I'm way more comfortable with. Because the Doctor really isn't the Doctor without the TARDIS.
The way I see it, this scene is canon- it happened, and I'm so glad.
Pete's World finally gets Rose and The Doctor, togeter in the TARDIS.
The way it should be. (seriously that line should have stayed in the episode, it was beautiful). Perhaps it's not "The" Doctor, but 10.5 lived through him, and best of all- he won't ever be alone.
Ehhh kind of glad they cut this out. I was already pretty incredulous about the existence of Meta-Crisis Doctor. Him being able to grow his own TARDIS would've been a bit too twee.
wow! i am very happy that this scene was cut out because it would have taken away from the emotion, but the fact that it happened, and rose and the doctor are once again running around in the tardis, i feel as if i have closure. not only did rose get the man she loves, but the doctor also gets to be who he is. he did not just see his whole life disappear when the real doctor and donna left. nope. he and rose are off doing what they do best. now that.....is fantastic!
I can't help but wonder: What about The Doctor that is already in Rose's Universe? Was he supposed to be dead? I don't recall any references to it, and it is something that I sincerely think he would have considered before sending his Clone there and handing him the ability to grow another Tardis...Is he creating another "Ace Rimmer" to sidle across the parallel universes?
@TheCarseys i think something was mention along the lines of Time-lords could only exist in one universe, they had the ability to travel across the void but the Doctor couldn't because he was the only one left. but I'm not sure. you would have to do research on it.
God, a Tenth & Rose/Eleventh & Amy teaming up episode would blow me away. And this would be the first time two Doctors interacting with each other technically wouldn't be paradox-free!
You are wrong man, It's happened before, check on You tube : The three Doctors, épisode from the old séries.
The thirst 3 Doctor gatered to fight Oméga, the 1st Time Lord, with Rassilon who gave the technologie to space and time travel to the Time Lords species.
So it's happened before, and i would like happening again! Cheers ;-)
I'm glad they took it out, because it takes away from the emotion of the scene, but I'm also glad that it's allowable to think that this actually happened.
I love this scene. As sad as it makes me, it gives me hope of seeing at least a tiny glimpse of some more Ten&Rose adventures, because even after four years, they are still my favourite <3
yeah, i think that does really interfere with the emotion in this scene, it's like "god, doctor, SHUT UP!!! rose and human doctor are having a moment!" while it would've been great, i also have two other objections. one; it sounds way too much like fanfiction (i'm sorry, but you have to admit that!) and two; "tardis chunk" looks like a chicken leg. :P
Always brilliant Rose. She knows that the Donna Noble Dr. will live on in pain and loneliness. & always clueless Donna, thinks that the Dr. needs an equal, not true love.

I hated how Journey's End ended.... The doctor basically said "You can't have me, but thats's okay, here's my clone. He'll get old."
TheLoveFreaks 8 months ago 6
@TheLoveFreaks More like, "I can't have you, but here's my clone." I agree, though. =/
nightmare9anatomy 7 months ago
The last few seconds were basically - "Oh it's okay I've got another chick behind me, she's cleverer than you." *Rose pulls upset face* *Scene ends*

MIND BLOWN. I am so happy this exists.

What, they couldn't spare an extra minute, and put it in the episode??
heavyrainstorm92 8 months ago 2
One day we'll come back and put this back in. ONE DAY WE'LL COME BACK AND PUT THIS BACK IN. I'm so holding you to that, RTD.

I miss Donna...perfect best friends and equals. Just brilliant!
bellaboop3390 8 months ago
I love the way Tennant says Rose Tyler. its so cute.
Awh how i wish Donna would had stayed longer. I love her
StephyScreamsNow 8 months ago 3
yeah but rose is still like, "hmm this one'll die and I'll be an old lady alone in the tardis..."
ocerg1111 9 months ago
@ocerg1111 And that would of been an excellent theory for River Song. xD
Jdeadevil 8 months ago
THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE CUT THIS SCENE OUT!!! It's Brilliant! Fantastic! Molto Bene!! LOL

"The Doctor. In the TARDIS. With Rose Tyler. Just as it should be."
Aw he loves her so much! :(
elly13x 9 months ago 105
Thought I'd finished shedding my tears for this ep...evidently not.
In my head this is still 100% canon. And then 10.5 can work out a way to fix the whole meta-crisis thing with Donna. And they can both rescue the Master from the Time Lock.
IdleDylan 9 months ago 6
@rstarchuck Too true, I miss Rose!
JapNarutofan 9 months ago 4
This comment has received too many negative votes show
Eurgh! *shudders* Glad this was taken out. Now I don't have to consider this ridiculous idea as canon.
Spectic 9 months ago
@Spectic Technically, it is canon, since it was hinted at in DWM, which is officially sanctioned by the BBC. It's just one of those passive moments they could have stuck on the end of the episode, or left after the credits. I miss rose
JapNarutofan 9 months ago 2
@JapNarutofan No, nothing outside of the official show is considered official canon, especially since official BBC books sanctioned by the BBC have been rewritten as episodes with some differences but the same story and characters. I don't miss Rose, not at all.
Spectic 9 months ago
donna even sounds like the doctor wen she says brilliant
xxkitkatkatexx 9 months ago 2
Dangturtle 10 months ago
@Dangturtle - care to reconsider? :-)
bountybar 9 months ago
@bountybar Lol ya I guess. Still haven't seen it, waiting for the US time to come on. Whatever, it's still a possibility for later in the season. I still think they will revisit the Time War at a later date, and when they do all bets are off on old characters coming back.
Dangturtle 9 months ago
@Dangturtle It came on BBCA at the 9:00, last Saturday! I loved the coral control room, and was sad that it got deleted. Maybe TARDIS can restructure the old control rooms again? Viva Decem!
JapNarutofan 9 months ago
@Dangturtle exactly what i thought! until yesterdays episode..... *sadface*

@Kimberlypie50 No why would russel t davis be on if it were fake and how would you fake it all the actors are there
powerglove100 10 months ago
AAAAAAAHHHH! How could they cut this??? I mean, I can see why they cut it, because it actually sucks worse than the rest of the episode, which is saying a lot. But how could they leave out the bit about Rose and 10.5 having a TARDIS? It makes their fate completely different! And one I'm way more comfortable with. Because the Doctor really isn't the Doctor without the TARDIS.
teflonwoman 10 months ago 6
The way I see it, this scene is canon- it happened, and I'm so glad.
Pete's World finally gets Rose and The Doctor, togeter in the TARDIS.
The way it should be. (seriously that line should have stayed in the episode, it was beautiful). Perhaps it's not "The" Doctor, but 10.5 lived through him, and best of all- he won't ever be alone.
rbdrebel1989 10 months ago 4
I wish they would have kept this scene, it provides SO many opportunities!
Gondorian9 11 months ago 7
should of keeped that scene...
firehill56 11 months ago
Ehhh kind of glad they cut this out. I was already pretty incredulous about the existence of Meta-Crisis Doctor. Him being able to grow his own TARDIS would've been a bit too twee.
JamesOhGoodie 11 months ago 2
Look at the astronaut spoiler thing. Is that an old version of a TARDIS?
McKnowledge1000 11 months ago
wow! i am very happy that this scene was cut out because it would have taken away from the emotion, but the fact that it happened, and rose and the doctor are once again running around in the tardis, i feel as if i have closure. not only did rose get the man she loves, but the doctor also gets to be who he is. he did not just see his whole life disappear when the real doctor and donna left. nope. he and rose are off doing what they do best. now that.....is fantastic!
bobbyrnz 11 months ago 7
I can't help but wonder: What about The Doctor that is already in Rose's Universe? Was he supposed to be dead? I don't recall any references to it, and it is something that I sincerely think he would have considered before sending his Clone there and handing him the ability to grow another Tardis...Is he creating another "Ace Rimmer" to sidle across the parallel universes?
TheCarseys 1 year ago 2
@TheCarseys i think something was mention along the lines of Time-lords could only exist in one universe, they had the ability to travel across the void but the Doctor couldn't because he was the only one left. but I'm not sure. you would have to do research on it.
Midnightmoon1209 11 months ago
@TheCarseys I remember reading somewhere that there is no Doctor in Pete's World, just like how there isn't a Rose.
Though I guess there could be a pet somewhere called "the Doctor" just like Cyber Jackie's dog was called Rose...

God, a Tenth & Rose/Eleventh & Amy teaming up episode would blow me away. And this would be the first time two Doctors interacting with each other technically wouldn't be paradox-free!
lundylow 1 year ago 216
@lundylow

As sad as it makes me, it gives me hope of seeing at least a tiny glimpse of some more Ten&Rose adventures, because even after four years, they are still my favourite <3

thank you soo much for posting this scene! i heard about this scene and really wanted to watch it ^-^ thanks!
CookieMagicx 1 year ago 3
I really wish that Rose and the Real Doctor just stayed together anyways
SasuSakufan109 1 year ago 9
yeah, i think that does really interfere with the emotion in this scene, it's like "god, doctor, SHUT UP!!! rose and human doctor are having a moment!" while it would've been great, i also have two other objections. one; it sounds way too much like fanfiction (i'm sorry, but you have to admit that!) and two; "tardis chunk" looks like a chicken leg. :P
MarisPallitax1 1 year ago 4
I really wish that Donna could have stayed to save the universe a million more times alongside the doctor, they were perfect!
