Both Pacquiao and Mayweather fought on this card in San Francisco in 2001. Both guys were rising stars in the smaller weight classes. Plenty of cheap ticekts were available. Earlier that year both guys had won big fights(Floyd vs Corrales @ 130 lbs., Manny vs Ledwaba @ 122 lbs.) in dominant fashion. They were still both unknown to the general boxing. I don't see these "enormous advantages". Floyd has a good defense, but when heavily pressured he usually backpedals and ends up against the ropes going into his shoulder roll shell. Floyd will see constant pressure, so he will have to exchange at some point, and his style is based away from exchanging and getting into flurries.

So many people hate Floyd because he's arrogant. But don't let this cloud thinking, Floyd is possibly the best technical boxer we've seen. If you hate him, hate him, but respect his craft. Also when it comes to Manny, he's a great fighter who can take a punch. The fight between them will be good. But Floyd is not clottey, Shane, or cotto. And lastly this won't be a catchweight fight. So the odds will be even

@vaccaleo last time i looked mayweather had ko'd the unbeaten champs hatton and coralles ripped the hearts from legendary tough guys arturo gatti and shane mosley beat delahoya at delahoyas natural weight 154 with 10 oz gloves not make him weight drain with 8oz gloves! easily whipped the man who gave manny all types of trouble, marquez who will go a third time! as far as el terrible he was NEVER even in floyds league and he knows it. if floyd is not a "true legend" there is no such thing
