  • Never, ever, in my life have I been that speechless.

  • Dude, this is AMAZING. The music is great and it complements the epicness of the drawing.

You sir, have made a very nice video.

  • how do you make a pencil drawing into a layer in photoshop or is it just overlay??

    love the pic

  • o rapaz é muito bommmm

  • This was insane. Thank you so much for sharing the process - I'm 100% more inspired now!

  • Hmmm, that's why i don't like numeric drawings, 80 % of it is copy pasting textures and things coming from photo's even if the results are good, i don't call this "drawing" at all but more "copy paste / photo manipulation" when people think the final result is art, it's only some kind of "cheat".

  • @imaginalex could we see your videos, please?

  • Great stuff, man!!

It's because of this video (and others you have made) that has got me into pushing the envelope with Photoshop, Illustrator, and other multimedia programs. Though, for most of it though I've been using a relatively cheep laser mouse.

But, I seriously need to get a drawing tablet...

  • Otherwise, I've done most of my stuff with .005 and .01 micron pens. The works I've got now can only be best viewed under a magnifying glass. I'm looking into pushing that further. I think this is the way to go about it...

I hope one day that my stuff will become as impressive and recognized as yours. This is a great inspiration, art piece, and video. I wish you the best in your future endeavors.

  • very, very, impressive! definitely subscribing!

  • what program is he using

  • Why doesn't this video have a bazillion views? I've never seen anything like this

  • Thanks for the awesome video inspiration of what can be done and for the new music to seek out :)

  • loguei só pra comenta, apenas muito foda

  • It happens seldom that I subscribe to someone after a single good video. I subscribed to you halfway of the end of this video. You are THAT good.

  • @tiagoinka I feel honored! I just posted a new one... this time it's just an sketch. But I'll be posting another complete piece soon.

  • @DEISIGNblog Did you draw this? I first saw this video on wimp.com and wanted to search for it on YouTube so I could like and favorite.

  • @4781d36 yeah, I saw it on Wimp too.

  • Looks shopped.

  • I puked a little. You sir are incredible.

  • that's the one of the levels what i'll NEVER reach.

    never. ever.

    I'm speechless, this is magnificant!!!

  • Oh !

  • I love how you show the pencil sketching part too.

Watching the whole video though... You, sir, are amazing.

  • That drawler is a true master!

  • That was great

I wish you well, hope that you are successful and happy. I ask for your best regards in return as I continue of my quest to one day be as skillful as you are here.

  • @CynthiaAliceKat Thank you very much for your kind words and support! You're definitely enthusiastic about this craft. That's the number one thing I feel, which you can't force... is an instinct. It seems to me that you'll get there soon enough. Feel free to reach me either trough deisign.com or my FB Page. Thanks again!

  • what is the name of the second song ??

    6:30

  • @yoAar0n Lost Kingdom, also by God is an Astronaut.

  • you left me complete speechless there....how can this only have about 20.000 views? its sad that real artwork and talent get lost between all this crap nowadays...anyway you're great :)

  • @nessiXTC it has a few more on Vimeo (265K right now). Thanks for your support!

  • Seeing this makes me want to take up drawing classes...

  • If you would spend a day or two putting together a video showing some of the PS techniques/tools you used it would get a lot of views. Not the easy stuff, but some of the more complex shadings, brushes, etc that you seem so good with.

  • @tangowally Thanks for the suggestion. I seriously might do it.

  • Just WOW

  • WHO'S a son of a bitch that can dislike this video?!?!?!?!?

  • a PRO is a PRO... ...amazing.

  • @jHavoc696 Thank you! The second song is Lost Kingdom, also by God is an Astronaut. I'm always posting art on deisign.com, but I'll certainly be doing another timelapse very soon.

  • This might have already been asked but what software do you use, i use Autodesk Sketchbook Pro 2010

  • @TheLazyChimp I use Photoshop.

  • I wish i would have the skills you have. If there was a book that would take me from scratch to what you just did I would buy it. Incredible work!

  • amazing attention to detail. the tune is quite fitting too.

instead of the saw over the shoulder replace with a sign in the same position - along the lines of "End the War - Bring our troops back." This will reinforce his situation.

  • Everyone can do this.

  • This is wonderful!!!

  • i get a real mad max sorta vibe from this, though way more dystopian for some reason. i like the amount of detail and the style you are going for, the idea of this kid carrying a wrench and a backpack full of tools to maintain his leg and carrying trophy teeth on the end of his industrial machete really fits.

is this based on something, like does the kid appear in any comics or anything?

  • MASTER, YOU ARE A MASTER

  • Wow, thiss is just AMAZING.

  • Nothing but pro!

  • unbelievable.

  • WOW, I have seen good work in After Effects but in never Photoshop like this before, that just blew me away TOTALLY! The layering, highlighting, shading, texturing and use of transfer modes is ridiculously astonishing and amazing! YOU ARE RIDICULOUSLY TALENTED! I wish you a very prosperous future and keep up the good work!

  • @JaredNaude Thanks for your kind words and support. They're much appreciated!

  • This is what "attention to detail" is all about.

  • its shit like this that made me drop out of law school to study art

  • @odion28 I thought the same... And I seriously think about studying art later in my life. Unleash creativeness !

  • Wow!

  • Amazing

  • Bloody hell...

  • WOW

  • did you just use mouse? or tablet?

  • @pinoyscreencast if he didn't use a tablet he's probably God.

  • NICE!NICE!NICE!NICE!NICE!NICE!NICE!NICE!NICE!NICE!NICE!NICE!NICE!

  • Wow. I'd love to even know how to use the features of Photoshop he used, let alone know how to draw, shade, color, and the 10 other artistry skills shown here. Whoever you are, you don't get paid enough. :-O

  • @NomadRip Thank you! I'll keep that in mind while negotiating my next contract!

  • @DEISIGNblog What pen/pencil are you using in the beginning? :)

  • @MrGregglesC It's a Staedtler 0.5 mechanical pencil. I recommend Bic Cristal pens for sketching as well.

  • @DEISIGNblog Cool thanks. :)

  • One of the best evidences of how powerful graphic design I've witnessed.

  • Wauw!

  • how to use photoshop to its full potential

  • That is absolutely class. Super impressive! Forget the software, it's only a tool. The creativeness and attention to detail from the artist is what shines through.

  • Amazing !

  • Awesome.

  • Man! This is Awesome!

  • pro to the fullest

  • No need to ask how long it actually took - very nice details and obviously a lot of hard work!

  • WOW...

  • Super slick. Was that Photoshop or Illustrator?

  • @acharyarohit Looks like Photoshop

  • Wow...

  • Super cool - wish I had 1/100th the talent it took to accomplish this.

  • Amazing, great cover!
