Hmmm, that's why i don't like numeric drawings, 80 % of it is copy pasting textures and things coming from photo's even if the results are good, i don't call this "drawing" at all but more "copy paste / photo manipulation" when people think the final result is art, it's only some kind of "cheat".
It's because of this video (and others you have made) that has got me into pushing the envelope with Photoshop, Illustrator, and other multimedia programs. Though, for most of it though I've been using a relatively cheep laser mouse.
Otherwise, I've done most of my stuff with .005 and .01 micron pens. The works I've got now can only be best viewed under a magnifying glass. I'm looking into pushing that further. I think this is the way to go about it...
I hope one day that my stuff will become as impressive and recognized as yours. This is a great inspiration, art piece, and video. I wish you the best in your future endeavors.
Watching this video of this drawing is like watching a blockbuster movie. You grow from watching to learning, feeling the world this kid lives in. It is not as subtle as looking at a picture, but feeling an emotion, feeling the pain, the anger, the mischief, the fun in this kids life. Absolutely amazing art work. I agree, more please!
This. Is. INCREDIBLE. I'm completely blow away! Fantastic, superb, astounding! This is exaxctly the kind of art style I'm working towards implementing. I salute you, sir/ ma'am! I wish you well, hope that you are successful and happy. I ask for your best regards in return as I continue of my quest to one day be as skillful as you are here.
@CynthiaAliceKat Thank you very much for your kind words and support! You're definitely enthusiastic about this craft. That's the number one thing I feel, which you can't force... is an instinct. It seems to me that you'll get there soon enough. Feel free to reach me either trough deisign.com or my FB Page. Thanks again!
you left me complete speechless there....how can this only have about 20.000 views? its sad that real artwork and talent get lost between all this crap nowadays...anyway you're great :)
If you would spend a day or two putting together a video showing some of the PS techniques/tools you used it would get a lot of views. Not the easy stuff, but some of the more complex shadings, brushes, etc that you seem so good with.
@jHavoc696 Thank you! The second song is Lost Kingdom, also by God is an Astronaut. I'm always posting art on deisign.com, but I'll certainly be doing another timelapse very soon.
amazing attention to detail. the tune is quite fitting too.
instead of the saw over the shoulder replace with a sign in the same position - along the lines of "End the War - Bring our troops back." This will reinforce his situation.
i get a real mad max sorta vibe from this, though way more dystopian for some reason. i like the amount of detail and the style you are going for, the idea of this kid carrying a wrench and a backpack full of tools to maintain his leg and carrying trophy teeth on the end of his industrial machete really fits.
is this based on something, like does the kid appear in any comics or anything?
WOW, I have seen good work in After Effects but in never Photoshop like this before, that just blew me away TOTALLY! The layering, highlighting, shading, texturing and use of transfer modes is ridiculously astonishing and amazing! YOU ARE RIDICULOUSLY TALENTED! I wish you a very prosperous future and keep up the good work!
Wow. I'd love to even know how to use the features of Photoshop he used, let alone know how to draw, shade, color, and the 10 other artistry skills shown here. Whoever you are, you don't get paid enough. :-O
That is absolutely class. Super impressive! Forget the software, it's only a tool. The creativeness and attention to detail from the artist is what shines through.
Never, ever, in my life have I been that speechless.
