It is mathematically impossible for 99% of people in a downline to make money. Those who fail do not fail because they stop but because the systems are engineered to fail. Ask yourself: Does it make business sense that in order to break even I have to recruit another 4 competitors as a 1st step? As soon as U join an MLM u r making a loss & the only way to profit is to cause 4 others to make a loss. In the end the number of losers is ever increasing! Common sense guys! I know a millionaire maid service. The lady I know started on her own cleaning homes. She did such good work, eventually she had more customers than she could handle, so she invited others to work with her. She made money from all their efforts. Just like MLM. Today she has over 200 people working with her and she makes more than a $Million per year. The difference is in MLM all her workers could make a million if they worked hard for it. In her business, only she makes a million.
@TeamSavingAmerica In is not mathematically possible for "all" MLM to become millionares. The market is only so big to support so many $40 a quart Mango juice or obsolete video phones, and becomes quickly saturated. For most people to so much as break even in MLM, there has to be a large sales volume outside the network. This isn't so with MLM. The products are over priced and of questionable quality. Only MLM participants ever really buy, and this is to qualify for commissions.
I hear what you're saying. I don't see how that is much different than most businesses. Most businesses fail inside of 5 years or less, and cost tens of thousands of dollars to start&run on a monthly basis, way more than any MLM. Most sell products or srvcs for a lot more than they cost to produce, so the owner can make a profit & pay employees a minimal wage. Being in MLM is no different than being a salesman for any company, except its in the context of being self employed instead of a job.
@adamandalyssa The amount of businesses that lose money and fail is far less than MLM. There is considerable difference between MLM and a regular sales job. A salesman doesn't have to recruit his own competition. A Saleman has territorial protection. A Saleman gets paid a fair commission per sale, unlime MLM where most of it goes to a bloated upline. A Salesman sells goods at market value, unlike MLM where the high price makes outside the network sales difficult.

In MLM, of course not ALL become millionaires, but the opp. to do so is there. The opp. to make 6 figures p/yr IS doable for many more. @adamandalyssa In MLM very little selling is done. It is all about recruiting. The margins are so low in MLM, nobody can make any money or have any advancement without recruiting. In MLM, the un-competetive prices ensure the distributors are the primary buyers, forced to buy as a mandatory part of receiving commission. MLM is like the lottery, most lose money to pay the few who do make money. A regular job may not make you rich, but people aren't exploited to the same extend and LOSE money!
OK.I'm not gonna argue w/u.I know your mind is made up.My experience has been different than yours.Just know that not all MLM's are the same.In this last year,a new kind of MLM found me,& its different than all the others I've seen.I have 72 people on my team,& every single one of them is making atleast $250 to 1k p/m so far. People get paid, but when you add in the mandatory purchases to qualify for commission, as well as the the huge expense of a successful recruitment campaign- most lose money. Take an MLM that sells overpriced juice. Most people don't have the money to buy the product and those that do, only do so because it is forced upon them as part of the business opportunity they just joined. If the juice is $100 a month, how much of it will get sold outside the MLM? Also, the market is not unlimited in the amount of $100 juice distributers that are needed. Only a moron wouldn't "quit" this faux opportunity, because this oportunity is failing them….

It's certainly a good method, but there are very slim chances you will earn that much doing this method alone. Having several effective methods and income streams is usually the way to go, as it ads up in the long run.

Everyone should watch this video before joining any MLM. People usually think when they join this type of business that it is going to be easy money, and that's not true, you have to work a lot even moere when you start, but if you do that you are building a long term and residual income.
Just be aware, not every MLM is good, do some research before joining.
What's the difference between multi-level marketing and slavery? Slavery is illegal. Would you accept a job offer with no guarantee of income no matter how many hours of effort with an indefinite time line? Not if you're a sober, reasonable person. Loosers are the most important part of any pyramid or network marketing scheme, because it's their money that keeps the system alive. These schemes will always collapse if the main incentive is to earn money, simply because of it's required exponential growth. I never lost in any pyramid scheme because I never joined, I just know the math

Training dvd's, seminars etc.......thats how alot of these companies make money, their top guys are not going out selling overpriced juice door to door.

Ask yourself: Does it make business sense that in order to break even I have to recruit another 4 competitors as a 1st step? No! The cost is irrelevant. You'll find that at the very least 75% of people in MLM are condemned to fail AS A MATHEMATICAL CERTAINTY & in practice 99% in spite of hard work. If you don't understand the math, check the book False Profits, or pyramid scheme alert dot com. Math is not an opinion! I know a millionaire maid service. The lady I know started on her own cleaning homes. She did such good work, eventually she had more customers than she could handle, so she invited others to work with her. She made money from all their efforts. Just like MLM. Today she has over 200 people working with her and she makes more than a $Million per year. The difference is in MLM all her workers could make a million if they worked hard for it. In her business, only she makes a million.

The market is only so big to support so many $40 a quart Mango juice or obsolete video phones, and becomes quickly saturated. For most people to so much as break even in MLM, there has to be a large sales volume outside the network. This isn't so with MLM. The products are over priced and of questionable quality. Only MLM participants ever really buy, and this is to qualify for commissions.

I hear what you're saying. I don't see how that is much different than most businesses. Most businesses fail inside of 5 years or less, and cost tens of thousands of dollars to start&run on a monthly basis, way more than any MLM. Most sell products or srvcs for a lot more than they cost to produce, so the owner can make a profit & pay employees a minimal wage. Being in MLM is no different than being a salesman for any company, except its in the context of being self employed instead of a job.

@adamandalyssa The amount of businesses that lose money and fail is far less than MLM. There is considerable difference between MLM and a regular sales job. A salesman doesn't have to recruit his own competition. A Saleman has territorial protection. A Saleman gets paid a fair commission per sale, unlime MLM where most of it goes to a bloated upline. A Salesman sells goods at market value, unlike MLM where the high price makes outside the network sales difficult.

In MLM, of course not ALL become millionaires, but the opp. to do so is there. The opp. to make 6 figures p/yr IS doable for many more. For 99.99% of employee's, there is "0" chance to make 6 figures let alone a million. Those in MLM who dont succeed is because they dont do the work. They quit when it gets hard. BUT there is much more opp. to make a good living in MLM than there is as an employee. Selling my time 4a paycheck vs. receiving mnthly residual income - I'll opt for residual income.

In MLM, the un-competetive prices ensure the distributors are the primary buyers, forced to buy as a mandatory part of receiving commission. MLM is like the lottery, most lose money to pay the few who do make money. A regular job may not make you rich, but people aren't exploited to the same extend and LOSE money!

People get paid, but when you add in the mandatory purchases to qualify for commission, as well as the the huge expense of a successful recruitment campaign- most lose money. MLM is in a state of continual collapse, and new recruits don't expand the market share, but replace those who walk out the revolving door. What is this great company? Most people don't have the money to buy the product and those that do, only do so because it is forced upon them as part of the business opportunity they just joined. MLM's dnt give 401k, dnt give medical benefits, dnt give steady pay checks. IF MLM was a real job, i dare any MLM to stop recruiting!! Walmart does recruit people demand it becuz they sell services n products ppl want n need daily. MLM's main sale is their own products like martketing guides u need to buy from them. It's certainly a good method, but there are very slim chances you will earn that much doing this method alone. Having several effective methods and income streams is usually the way to go, as it ads up in the long run.
Also in this business its really about finding the RIGHT methods.

Everyone should watch this video before joining any MLM. People usually think when they join this type of business that it is going to be easy money, and that's not true, you have to work a lot even moere when you start, but if you do that you are building a long term and residual income.
Just be aware, not every MLM is good, do some research before joining.

What's the difference between multi-level marketing and slavery? Slavery is illegal. Would you accept a job offer with no guarantee of income no matter how many hours of effort with an indefinite time line? Not if you're a sober, reasonable person. Loosers are the most important part of any pyramid or network marketing scheme, because it's their money that keeps the system alive. These schemes will always collapse if the main incentive is to earn money, simply because of it's required exponential growth. I never lost in any pyramid scheme because I never joined, I just know the math

Of the companies surveyed, they reported the least successful was Amway/Quixtar where 99.99% of distributors lose money, and the most successful was Herbalife, where 99.42% of distributors lose money.
