i'm glad hat the characters died, i mean i cried and cried and cried, but at the same time, i was more satisfied at the end of harry potter than in the end of breaking dawn. all is fair in love and war. Rowling understands that there cant be freedom and hope and happiness and life without death and tragedy and hopelessness. hell, she even killed harry for a couple of chapters.

I think the thing about Rowling is that she isn't afraid to kill her characters off. I mean however many times I read the series (I'm on my 6t run through the seventh book) it will always make me cry wheneer there's a death. Dobby is the worst though because of the manner in which he dies. But the best bit is you can ignore their deaths by going back to an earlier book :)

of course meyer cant touch rowling. she didn't create a world within a world like in the HP books. Also, although i respect that other people love the whole bella/edward thing, but i believe that the relationships in HP are more realistic. EX: (SPOILERS) snape/lilly, tonks/lupin, and of course ron/hermione, who's love is the most believable to me.

In fact, he comes from a much less educated background than her and he does nothing to better himself. He doesn't deserve her and she deserved much better!

Meyer created a story that had already been created, there are lots of forbidden romance out there, but JK made a story that was completey authentic, but at the same time used history and knowledge of our world to make the wizarding one.

I think she is fantastic, for creating a world so spectacular as Harrys. I love Harry Potter and not ashamed to say it has changed my life and the way I think about things.

Fan fiction doesn't infringe on the copy rights, and they're actually using the characters in the same way that JK Rowling uses them! Also, these bands are verrrry well known, and I'm sure that JK Rowling know about them. She doesn't care though, obviously! She knows that this kind of thing is going to happen with something as famous as HP, and she went ahead and wrote all those books anyways, did she not?

Actually very few of them make any profit from this. Most of them donate alll the money they make to the HP Alliance and other charities which aim to get more children into reading.  And JKR does know about the existance of wrock bands - MTV have filmed them and there has been a documentary filmed, so there haven't been any problems.

They take credit for writing the songs, but not for coming up with the characters or scenarios, they give Jo full and complete credit for that!

Well, some people do make money. Matt from The Whomping Willows actually quit his job because he can now support himself from wrock. But he does a TON for charity.

And JKR and WB do know about wrock. WB actually originally called Harry and the Potters to complain, but they weren't being crazy about it, and it was eventually settled that the bands couldn't sell any merchandise except CDs online. That's why you can't really find any wrock t-shirts except at live shows.

Yeah. The Remus Lupins are on iTunes. I think some of their shows are free, but you can buy their music.

I think they do make a little money but the majority of that probably goes to traveling when they tour or go to a conference(s) and then for the merchandise CD's shirts, etc. I think most of their concerts are free though if there at a conference one has to pay for the conference and there might be a small fee for the venues they use, which would go the venue owner or to help pay for them using the venue.
