weird...I felt exactly the opposite as you about the Laura Mercier, regarding the regular vs. oil-free version! (I prefer the reg version because I find it much easier to work with and it gives me a more beautiful finish compared to the oil-free.)

Hello! I went to sephora the other day and got a sample of the Laura Mercier oil-free tinted moisturizer in nude and the Laura Mercier illuminating moisturizer in natural radiance..I'm not sure how to apply the two..The lady told me I could either mix the two together and put it on my face or put the nude first, then the illuminating...I'm still a bit confused because the illuminating moisturizer is darker and a little bit shinier..should I apply it to my whole face?? PLEASE HELP!!

I just bought the oil-free LM one in "Nude" and am worried as the lady in the shop didn't seem to know what she was doing. She tried the "Faun" and it seemed dark to me. She then tried "Nude" and it seemed fine but I am wondering if there was one inbetween which I should have tried? I need a yellow rather than pink base. I don't want to get it wrong as it is so expensive. I am so dissapointed with the service I got.

It's great in really intense heat and sun, it lasts me all day (I have terrible combination skin) and it even stay put through a dance class in a studio without air conditioning and we were HOT. It's great, I LOVE it.

After reading the review I went to Sephora for a sample of LM. I got two samples one in the lightest shade (Porcelain) and one in Nude. Unfortunately Porc. is too light and Nude is too dark. I loved the coverage and the texture. I guess the mixture of two colors would be the ideal match for me I but don't have the money or the patience to buy two (for $80). Disappointed :(

I mistakenly purchased the Normal one in Fawn and HATE IT!!!! It does not cover as much and it's like water..

the oil free I purchased in Fawn and love it and it is a lil bit more Tanned then the normal Fawn one... Weird!!!!!!!!

i also have dry skin but have been using the LM oil-free tinted moisturizer for years!! i think i am on my fifth or sixth tube... it's a miracle product! i love how it's good on my skin all year round, whether it's winter or summer. i have bought tinted moisturizer from stila, tarte, lorac, dior, shiseido, lancome, clinique, you name it, and most of those i just ended up throwing out. thank goodness for LM!!

I bought this today... I didn't even test the other and chose the Mercier oil free in nude. The coverage is so light but it covers and has spf. Pretty good, I had this on one hand and MUFE HD foundation on the other and they were alot alike in coverage.

Great video, I don't think Stila has gone bankrupt, I think they have been bought out by another company and will be back. I saw some things on Make Up Alley and I think Pinkie Charm has a video on more information too! I hope they are back soon, I LOVE Stila!!

I was at the beach over the weekend and was wishing that I had a tinted moisturizer instead of a foundation to wear on my face. I want something that has a bit of coverage but I won't feel like I have a full face of makeup on when I just want to relax at the beach. Great comparison! I'm surprised that the one made for oily/acne skin isn't drying out your skin (since you said your skin is dry). I think the LM TM sounds like a good choice for the warmer months.

The Stila product sounds terrible. Maybe you should exchange the original LM one for the one you like better. You make me want to try it. The last one I used was Bobbi Brown - too yellow for me. If someone wanted to put foundation over it, how do you think it would work? Have you tried that? Great video. Love the kids in the background - sounds like home. <3

yeah if you're worried about staying power (especially for the summer) use it in combination with a primer. i used to use smashbox photo finish light for a few years but i just recently bought LM oil free primer and am seeing if it works as well as this LM TM

Tinted moisturizers are to even out the skin and its very very light coverage, Oppose to foundation where the coverage is wayy more. Plus tinted moisturizers give more of a dewy effect, where a foundation can give u a more matte effect. I have the laura mercier and its good. Its works if you dont want to look like you have "makeup" on ya know. Its very sheer :-)

Sometimes I put moisturizer on before but mostly no. I always wash it off at night and use normal moisturizer at night. :)

There isn't a HUGE difference but I think the LM has a little better coverage and the color is perfect for me...I love the Korres but the color is not perfect for me...I found it kinda hard to get the right color.

stila was rebought just the other day, actually. so, they are still in business...

you might want to try stila's illuminating tinted moisturizer instead. it really illuminates the skin. i prefer it to benefit's you rebel.
